We. Are. Back. It's been six years since NVScene 2008 changed the US demoparty landscape forever. With legendary compos, excellent seminars and tech talks, and a tight integration into the NVISION event held by NVIDIA, NVScene 2008 was truly a special thing.
Now, 6 years later, Scene.org in cooperation with NVIDIA is back to bring you NVScene 2014. Arranged during the NVIDIA GTC convention, there is yet again a shared interest in visual computing and real-time graphics that brings a completely unique demo party event to life.
At the time of writing, we have the following compos confirmed:
- PC Demo (WebGL allowed)
- Android Demo (most support Shield)
- 4K Executable Graphics
There will be at least one more compo, so keep up with the news about the party on Facebook, Twitter or on our mailing list and website.
Party features include free food and drinks, free entrance to the GTC exhibitions, 24/7 open event venue, kick-ass PA and projection system, compos, demo shows, talks and seminars with well-known demosceners and technologists!

what i hate it because when i join the game the game crashes just for this stupid intro? what is it all about
Had no idea the classic demoscene had hit Android to this level. For those expecting a benchmark, this is not what this type of thing is about at all. Those who think it should be a YouTube video, again, not what it's about at all, it's about demoing small code for visual appeal being processed and generated in real-time by CPU. In short it's a display of efficient coding for proof of concept. Those who weren't around for the demoscene in 80's and 90's probably won't understand at all. Great work to the coders, musicians, and artists. It was quite nostalgic for me.
Brings me back in time when Demo's were a huge thing on 386/486 DOS PC's and Amiga / Apple IIGS / Atari ST etc. This is an absolutely fantastic demo pushing the graphics on moderm android devices. Keep up the great work! (So cool to have demoscene on Android platform)
With excessive flashing colours, extended textures and bland dubstep, this is a train wreck in disguise. It seems like nothing different than a non-interactive, brain numbingly tedious video. It lasts far too long, has no interactivity (thus insanely boring), and there is nothing very interesting graphically. Of course, if this were an actual game, which it should be (this is google PLAY not google sit and rot in your chair for Christ's sake), it would be different as it has more entertainment value.
i used this on my galaxy note 3 and nvidia shield runs smooth on both no hickups it looks stunning but its not realy a benchmark or something that will show your device gpu power. (also im not a big fan of dubstep)
The opening scene made me want to smash my phone into a million pieces. Absolutely trash

It was a stupid commercial type thing. Was not playable. Good asthetics though.
I can't even play I don't think this is a game it finishes the introduction then makes me exit the game and rewatch it... If it was a game it would be cool but... Eh
It's basically a video. They just have your phone render it rather than pre render it. 1 star for Interesting graphics.
On my shield tablet it doesn't have problems no overheating no nothing I put it on for 5min and nothing whatsoever so I guess it'll for more normal Tab's like the tab3 or other
This is just some video and extremely BORING don't waste your time because that's all this app dose
It dosent even need high end phone. It runs smoothly on my Alcatel Pop C5 with 512mb of ram

Under 20 megs installed, some really fresh effects, runs smooth on z2. Best demo i've seen on the android scene so far! Well done guys!
This is by far the coolest demo I've seen on android - very impressive tech, and runs flawlessly on shield. Likely near perfect on all Tegra 4 devices. I wish there was a way to pay people to port demos to android, lol
And you need top end hardware to generate some noisy graphics - ridiculous
Been a big demo scene fan since the late 80s. It's so good to see it thriving still. Also a plus that it's creeper it's way onto android devices. This demo runs like a charm on my note 3.

It needs to be more resource intensive
The graphic performance is pretty intriguing for the first 9 seconds but after that its the same repetitive mind numbing show, with no interactive features.
It is boring. You could just upload a video instead of making this app.

Very cool. The idiots who say "It's just a movie" are just... Poor. My Nexus 6 pushed it just fine, cool old school vibe.
Decent demo works ok on Lenovo Yoga 2, but low frame rate in parts.
