NXP is the inventor of MIFARE, the leading technology platform for e-ticketing solutions operated in more than 650 cities worldwide. One of the most exciting trends in e-ticketing for public transportation is mobile ticketing based on NFC technology, co-invented by NXP. In the near future, mobile ticketing will improve user experience providing more convenience and interactivity for passengers.
The NXP Mobile Ticket App demonstrates ticket selection, over the air provisioning and location based travel information in 5 virtual destinations: London, Beijing, Moscow, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro.
This application was developed for demonstration purposes only, it is not intended to be used on existing public transport schemes in above mentioned cities.
