NYC ACCESS HRA

Clearly this app is designed to give you the runaround, especially since you can no longer upload PDFs to the app or even do it through the website. They really want you to gather all the documents, then painstakingly take photos of each document to upload them to the app. Isn't the purpose of this to be easier than printing all the documents and sending them to the office? It's incredibly frustrating

Unfortunately this app is extremely frustrating to use. Half the time I open it, the app will be a complete black screen and freeze. I have to close it out and open it again several times to actually launch it. Half the time I attempt to upload a document the upload fails. Choosing document type is difficult because there are 100 different types. Info is not consistent for my case across the app and the website. I wish we didn't have to use it!

It's a little difficult when you want to try to get a hold of the case worker because it's even impossible for them to even to pick up or answer back a voice-mail. But other than that I think it's OK I can upload the documents they need with no problem, if 8 need a copy of whatever about my case they send it immediately. They do move quick to help you get the help that you need. And I just received my metrocard so i now can pay half price which is so much more convient for me.

It's always down. And if something is due by a specific date and time i'ts like you try and try and it just doesn't work until you receive a letter stating your benefits has been canceled. Then the app works when it wants to work! They need to improve the system and know its not the fault

Horrible, if i got problems can't reach anyone on the phone provided. See i got snap case and need recertify, but when I click on it it says no case found, when i click to upload documents, says i don't need to . Impossible for elderly to get the benefits! All apps ,sites, phone service is horrible

Unreliable. The app fails to open 99 percent of the time. Have to close and try to open the app multiple times. Needs a complete rehaul to fix the bug that is currently present.

its great to give people the option of using their phone for once w/ a gov agency. not everyone can afford to have a computer. it is extremely short sighted to force everyone to use a phone to upload documents. its inaccessible to everyone. i find it extremely difficult to have to go on the computer where i keep everything as secure as possible. then spend hours transfering stuff to my unsecure phone just to upload it

Today I called hra again to see if they received the documents I was required to send to them. Unfortunately they haven't received anything it's been about a month ago and I put my name and case number on documents. Now they asking me to fax the documents again. I hope they don't close my case for their error. I don't get much so if that happens idk what I would do for their error. Then when u go into the access hra site they say something totally different. It's very stressful 😭🥺😢😩

Took photos of documents and the app cant find them. In app document scanner is trash. Sometimes the app just doesnt open, or it gets stuck on the loading page.

I just uploaded all my documents and I just got a text message telling me to upload my documents and when I went to do it again it says that the app can't guarantee that any documents will be sent, are they kidding me, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS CALL AND WAIT THE 5 TO 6 HOURS IT WILL TAKE TO GET SOMEONE. This app has actually gotten worse the creators actually emailed me asking me for my username and account number which I emailed them 5 times and they continue to ask me the EXACT SAME question.

Had my case closed after uploading all my documents and thinking that that was all I needed to do. Come to find out that they closed my case due to not receiving any of my documents. It's great to have an app this day and time but make sure it works. Especially for something like this. I had to wait almost 2 months for my case to reopen. And they didn't care. Last updated January 27th but as of today May 1st you can't log in due to the version not being supported anymore and no update available.

My app always indicates (2) people in my case. When I am only one. My middle name or middle initial is not included. For me to make sure that this app is not a scammer, I need to have these two issues solved. Therefore, I don't use it for Recertification.

App is glictchy and slow. The main reason you use this app is to upload documents and even that doesn't work properly. When you take a photo or upload one from your camera roll--the app automatically crops it and cuts off half the information with no way to adjust it.

This is the only method of sending documents, other than visiting a location in person. There is no way to upload documents through the online portal or via email. And this app does not accept PDFs. When it accepts photos, it crops down the size so much of the document is missing information. This is an unbelievably ineffective and inaccessible way to get people the help they really need.

The app doesn't open when I tap icon & opens when it wants, sometimes to just a back screen. The camera is not good & really blurry so I just use my phone camera to take my document photos & upload it. It also tells you documents you need, but doesn't explain what is acceptable to send. Great idea for an app but needs a major upgrade.

The whole point for an app is to simplify process and to save cost on printing, faxing and transportation. Uploading PDF files seem futile with this app. Each document can be several pages, and it's not just one document being requested here. It's more than one. This is especially putting a burden for people who are in need of government assistance. Unless that is the intention.

Its horrible now,i keep pressing on it to open and it wont so i need to unistalled and install in order to refresh and manage to open the dam app. This never happened before the last update and i guess they keep screwing it up. Please fix your mess. Horrible app, I try update my information for the fairs fare and it just keep saying system down and to try back again! This being going on since the last 2 up dates,this developer is an idiot and I think hes either on crack cocain or he just stupid.

I could not use access HRA on my iPad for some reason, now I have it on my phone and it takes several times for me to open the app! other than that it is fine, I don't know how well I'll be able to do with recertification, God willing all will be well.

I don't know how I am able to get my documents that are needed thru this app. I've updated my information, I even called the phone #'s provided and still no help. My documents are due and I'm afraid my SNAP privileges will not be recertifided. I need help!!!

Updating my review: Today I logged in to the app, just to check something (someone is using my address illegally so I decided to log in to contact someone about that). I normally use the Provider app to check my balance and the website on my laptop browser. The balance on this app is a week old. Not helpful. In my origial review I had issues uploading documents.

To get app to work I have to keep doing a force stop. Then it will open up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No difference.

This app need a lottt of work, doesn't open, it frizz and it take it to long to open each pages.. 😡😠😡😠. Very old fashion application.

glad that this exists, but it's half baked. application hangs at startup often, requiring force restart. trying to upload documents - the app doesn't appear to see only some images on phone, ignores scans of the documents I do want to upload, no way to configure it to look at different folders

Needs to be better built.......... now a year later the stupid app is not working at all says to retry it wont show or let you upload any thing the people who made this app are not vary bright.

i didn't know about the hra app until recently. it has helped me tremendously and keeps me out of the nasty hra office. it's easy to follow and keeps me informed of all necessary information. thanks for the help.

Uploading documents is an ordeal. I properly scanned my documents with a printer and when I try to submit the images, they end up ridiculously cropped off the sides without my input. Camera quality when taking photos with this app is also super grainy and much worse than using the regular Camera app.

The app will not open after the update!!!! I have to uninstall and reinstall just to use it. It was trashy and frustrating before..it's just garbage now!!

I love this app! it's effortless to install and so simple to navigate. it's really easy to access your cases and information. great way to apply for services and even recertify. Awesome app!

Great app it works perfect, fast and easy to use it also save me time and money because i don't have to ride the bus or the train to go to HRA office every time i love ACCESS HRA app 💯

Very helpful app. Gives you all the info you need. So much easier than calling ebt and going through all the automated bs. Also allows you to download files you need to fill out. Saved me a couple of trips to the office downtown. A must have tool. Will save you time and aggravation.
