Nyko PlayPad Firmware Updater

Cannot get controller to pair in HID mode at all, cannot update firmware as a result. Samsung note 10.1 Android 4.1.2

C'mon! How is possible to release app that doesn't work. This gamepad is the worst purchase I have done related to android games.

Downloaded this usless app in an effort to up date the firmware on my playpad pro. This app does nothing. Hope someone reads this and cares enough that they will fix the issues. Othewise no need to download....sorry? So am i.....

I don't know why everyone else is having issues, but the firmware updater worked without a hitch for me. If I have one objection, it's that the updater doesn't show what version of firmware it has compared to what you already have. So it shows me I have 101 and I can update, but doesn't tell me what version it's going to update to, and as far as I know, I already have the most current firmware.

WOW I am glad this was free and given as a gift cause it dont work for nothing. My phone sees it as a bluetooth device, but thats it. The updater doesnt find it nor does the playground app. Tossing this thing in the trash.

Iv had my playpad a while now and I'm definitely going to get the pro now :) b4 I couldn't look left and right from car windows and the analogue aiming was dodgy but now it's seems everything is fixed and it works perfectly now. Thank You nyko for this awesome update and please continue to support these awesome controllers.

Doesn't work. I'm connected but it says nothing. Worthless gamepad. Just buy a Nvidia Tegra

How can you rate something that doesn't work. You rate it appropriately by giving it one star the device syncs with my phone shows active in my bluetooth list. That's it though app shows it is disconnected can't do anything with it garbage. And forget about finding any documentation on it on nykos website.

I take back my previous review as i retried the whole process and it actually worked for me this time. Thank god, these apps don't always work im actually surprised that it did

Bought this controller and my firmware is 4.4! Hope it works or down goes the stars

Need to update on a 4.1 device before using this updater, don't got one. Thank god Nyko has a USB updater...that you need to email them to get. At least the controller works great now but this app is pointless. Controller gets 4/5, updater gets 1/5.

Hey, tried to use this... But it just won't work. I have tried with numerous phones and tablets and so far it never even noticed my controllers existence. Sorry but that app is just a half-assed gimmick so you can write home about it on the website. Useless app... Save yourself the trouble, and do it on your PC/Mac instead, there is a working tool for that.

I bought a Playpad Pro because Nvidia recommended it for console mode with the Shield. My Shield is totally up-to-date, so I'm using the recommended app to update the firmware of the recommended controller on the recommended device, and it still doesn't work. The controller connects, and I can use it to move the cursor and what-not, but the firmware update app always says that it can't connect to the controller.

Just remember there will be more of those that complain then those that are happy with the product. Well, I'm happy with the product and tired of seeing people bash good products because they cannot get something to work. As well, wth would you be downloading this for other than updating the controllers firmware!? The NYKO PlayPad app is what you are looking for to sync with your phone...not this!

I don't understand why you can't create an app for your own controller running on recommended hardware (Tegra Note) that actually works. My Playpad Pro is connected and controlling my device yet this app never connects.

Note to Nyko developers: Don't forget to test on target machine before making the claim that it was designd for it. Running 4.3 on SHIELD, app refuses to pair and then crashes. +1 for being able to navigate app with PlayPad despite the apps ability to notice it.

Another great app by nyko( not). I'd love to meet the incompetent people who work at building these useless apps, do they actually get paid

I've not been able to connect with any of my devices, maybe this app is really only designed for NVIDEA Sheid. Otherwise not a good app of you can't use it to update the firmware.
