A "Word of the Day" feature introduces you to a new vocabulary word every day.
All the diagrams are built in to the application so they can be viewed offline. To view the videos, an active Internet connection is required.

I love this app. The videos are really helpful. Is it possible to share the favourite pictures and videos to groups of people on platforms like messenger? We are starting to use some NZSL in our Playcentre and it would be great to be able to print out the words we are learning and to share the videos.
I'm really surprised at how lame this app is compared to apps for other non-NZ sign language. The pictures are ok but the videos are way to short... the sign should be repeated 2-3 times and done slow and clear! A quick 2 sec sign is so inadequate. And it needs more info to explain different signs for the same word, ie "flower" is there twice with 2 different signs. "Dirty" has 3 different signs. Without explanation (eg is it a noun or verb etc) it's pretty useless.
I love how easy it is to look up a word or phrase, and that there's diagram and video that I can to my favourites. Made it super easy for me to start teaching my baby to sign 🙂
I cant see the videos :( but this app is really helpful. I decided to start learning so I can communicate with more people in my jobs. Schools should really teach basic signs!!!
I have been using this app for a few months and love it so it was very disappointing to discover that it uses words such as 'handicap', 'backward' and 'retarded', language that is offensive to disabled people and not in line with the official NZ Disability Strategy. Please amend asap or I'll delete the app from my phone and take action!
the video option part isnt playing, its also not even showing a play button, just a black screen.
What an incredible app, so much time has been put into making it. I like that you have 2 second videos to watch so you can fully understand how to say it. Highly recommend!
Was a good app but recently the videos have stopped working which has made it much more difficult as they were more helpful than the diagrams.
my good friend is deaf i am hearing. i know the basics but offten struggle on some conversations we have he showed me this app to brush up my skills and learn more i think this app is absolutely fantastic great work!
This app is very useful because I have a deaf cousin so I am starting to understand him more. It is very easy to find which sign you want and I use it everyday, so far no troubles.
Can not find any settings to reorganise the list or search for what a particular sing means. Is it possible to turn off the maroi as it is distracting and not useful to me

Used to love this app! Videos no longer work 😠please get this fixed ASAP! Apart from that, so handy, easy to follow!
I love this app as I can learn both sign language and Te reo Maaori. And also the video clip for every words.

When trying to view video the signs can be partially obscured by the Play/Pause panel making it diffficult to decipher. Try "excuse me"
The videos are no longer showing up. It is only a black screen. App developer?
I find this app really good, but it doesn't have any of the alphabet in it? Just having a tab with the alphabet would be very helpful

The videos are not working .
I used this app every day up until recently when videos stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but no luck. My phone is pretty new so I don't think it's my phone at fault. Seeing the reviews shows I'm not the only one having this issue. Will definitely bump my rating up when this is fixed but at the moment the pictures by them selves are not overly useful.
