App works fine for me. Makes the process very quick. However, I wish I could order the parts directly from the app, instead if logging in on the mobile site. Would really streamline the process. Both Autozone and Advance have that capability. I'm sure O'Reilly can figure it out if Autozone can.
Biggest pile of garbage app I've ever used. The old app worked fine but someone genius thought it would be a good idea to change everything to something that doesn't work. The app might actually scan the vin if you're lucky and conditions are absolutely perfect.
I really enjoy this app with one exception - at one point about 6 of the records disappeared. No idea why. Thanks for the fix! It works great and I'm really enjoying the wiring diagrams.
saves time by just taking a pic of vin and getting all my vehicle info like engine size ,# of doors and sub model. My 2 biggest complaints are before update would be i had to log in just about everytime i opened app up very annoying. Secondly would be whatever program (If it even is a program) they use to read vins have a lot of problems on Chrysler vehicles with their vin placement doesnt read it so i have to go about and manually input vin when the barcode is perfectly intact. also other cars
I can appreciate the Vin scan, and knowing all the details, but, in all honesty, it's just as easy to Google the vin... Also it would be great if there was a parts lookup in the app with commercial discounts applied so I can give accurate quotes to customers.
Sucks, because you are forced to login to an app that should have a simplified usage. If you take away the restrictions in becoming pressured to do multiple login steps when in reality the app can function without the added login procedure, then the app would gain better ratings. Nevertheless, this seems an issue O'Reilly auto parts chooses to ignore illustrating poor customer service and a non - existing support presence.
THE "SELECT VEHICLE" button shouldn't be hidden by the keyboard. Please move it up so when I'm finished entering information i won't have to click the keyboard away to hit the button. Thank you for fixing the "all caps" problem.. Why does this app log user out? It's a pain in the ass to log back in when I'm busy working. To make matters worse the app locks up requiring me to restart the phone to log back in.
Called the store to order by phone and pick up (with the virus and all). They told me to download the app and order on line. I downloaded the app, but the app is designed for repair shops with an existing account. No way to open a new account...lol. very useful...gee thanks. Maybe you'll get it right by the time the vaccine gets here... On to Napa auto parts...
O'Reilly's really needs to come up with a retail app. advanced and AutoZone have them, but O'Reillys employees are competent in mechanics unlike others but when im up at 2 am searching for a part online itd be nice to go ahead and order it straight from my phone, i understand the site is mobile friendly, but its easier when im at the shop to open an app and get it done rather than have to search up the website every time
Overall an excellent app. Only drawback that I have experienced is once a week or so I have to provide username and password again to gain axcess. Other than that annoyance the app has been spot on. I use it two or three times a day to identify vehicles at work .
it's a useful app in the sense if you're on a time crunch and you need to find vehicle info ASAP. I just wish that we could order, and look up parts on this app as well. That would be so awesome. Other than that, decent app to have on hand.
The app is basically useless. I'm a professional and use O'reilly's for all of my parts. I would've hoped that this app would allow me to order parts. I wouldn't recommend it until ordering parts from it is a thing.
Nice that you can scan a vin in and it goes straight to your online portal, however it stops there. I keep wondering why you can't iframe in the web app on a seperate link or something. Your mobile website works fine... It would be nice to have it integrated in application for mobile ordering in one spot
To be able to use this app you have to have a commercial account..and even after that you can only use it to get some info on a specific car via license plate or scanning vin #.. IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ORDERING PARTS.. kinda sucks.....
Terrible app. I go to O'Reilly's for my auto needs. My Mustang needs new wipers so I figured I'd install the app and see if my local outlet has them in stock. It asks me for my U/N and password. If I have one I don't remember it. Auto Zone is right across the street and Pep Boys are a quarter of a mile down the road.
This app is really helpfull.I use ot on a daily basis! It speeds up the process at my shop when it comes to registering new customers vehicle information. The only thing that bugs me is that every car you put it is standard. It does not specify if it is automatic or manual.Hopefully they get to fixing that soon enough...Other then that I would highly recommend this app.
Used to love this app. Use it all day every day. Very frustrating now the vehicles won't save so I have to keep going back to re-scan the same vehicles over. Miss the old app.
Terrible experience and asked for virtual help. Once I told them I did not have a business, they ended the chat. Should not be difficult to setup my residential personal account. Ridiculous.
i highly suggest this app not only for fellow O'reilly employees but also for any person that does not have access to vin/plate lookups. It takes a lot of guess work, errors and time out of the equation looking up the right parts for the right vehicle. Rick Dozier RSS CPP 2195
Great app . Use it daily . Just updated to the new version of it ( 8/5/19) .It's even better , more vehicles listed . As of now the only improvement would be to add customers to the while scanning .
Unusable without a preexisting account. The advanced auto app finds everything you need, easily, with no sign in required.
I tried the app dont like the setup of it. What i would do is go to there website from chrome click the 3 dots at the top of chrome. Click show on desktop. That will give you acess with a app like icon.
Been working okay for the most part until at least a week ago when it went down for whatever apparent reason. We use it at our shop but we might be forced to move on if this inconvenience continues.
Using this app for my family owned auto repair shop has made day to day operations easier on our mechanics and front office. The add vehicle option allows you to look up any vehicle by Vin or tag and pulls up just about any information you would need on each individual vehicle.
There is no way to log on unless you are already a member. The app insists on a user name and password that have never been entered, then rejects it as wrong... Duh!
Worst app ever there is no way to look up parts unless you are a shop I am a individual and there's no option for that I would not recommend downloading this app it is a waste of time and a waste of space on your phone
nice app but needs a little work. Any way of getting how many quarts of oil the car takes in the information once you scan or put in license plate? I see this only getting better as time goes.
This app is excellent to look up parts excetera especially if you want to do surprise comparison with the major auto parts stores!
Can not check on auto parts for your car unless you are a professional. Auto Zone and Napa's app is a lot better.
Can't even get started on the app I have advanced, Auto Zone and even Napa but I can't use the app for the store I shop at but now I use the other three to price shop before I go to O"Reilly's and buy my parts
