Just got back from a trip to Oahu, and the Oahu Revealed book and app were fantastic guides for our trip. Love the candid reviews, the helpful maps, and the many great hints and tips. We've used this company's books and apps for trips to Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island, and we've never been disappointed with the information. I wish that all travel guides were as truthful, helpful, and entertaining to read. Mahalo and Aloha!
Like the Maui app, this has much of the book content, without the nice organization of an eBook (which mirrors the paper book, but I haven't seen). For example, the contents start with "Sights" and then "Introduction" and "The Basics" are listed further down. Also, it has some, but not all of the updates the author puts on his website. It's "just ok" since it's not quite as good as an eBook-version of the paper book and the updates are inconsistent. I also couldn't find any detailed maps showing where the various sites are located relative to each other (though you can locate where a specific destination is). I would recommend this app for someone familiar with the book to use as a portable reference. If you've never seen the book, this might not meet your expectations. I would flip through an older version of the book to get familiar with the style/structure and how to use it, and then review the current version via app for your actual planning! Personally, I'm not a fan of the app having a book version attached to it, but I can see why there is a business motivation to sell newer versions every few years.

I bought this app about 2 months ago and it took 2 weeks to finally get it installed no help from the app owner. It took that long to get a response from him. Today 3 days before I leave I pull the app up and it said that the app was not licensed and I would need to purchase it , AGAIN. Buy a map or a gps. The app is a ripoff and the owner a thief for charging me for the product and not getting what I paid for.
This thorough guide app provided the insider tips I needed to get off the well-worn tourist path while exploring Oahu. Loved it.

I used the paper book on the Big Island and found it awesome. The app for Oahu is fantastic and makes the book and maps more portable and GPS friendly. User-friendly with honest recommendations. Great app!

Used this app when we went to oahu last year. It was so much better then. What happened to the favorites staying on the map? It helped plan things to do/visit by section. This was my favorite feature. Now it's just like looking stuff up on trip advisor but without user reviews. Wish I knew this was removed before I purchased the Maui version. Please add this feature back.
