As time as gone on this app has become unusable. Notifications don't work. Refresh time when switching between TF is shockingly slow. Support is terrible to. Have raised a call 3 times now and get the same standard response. No one responded to my replies either. Sadly Oanda has deteriorated into a poor company.
Love it. But after had to factory reset my phone, I installed it and it worked after I logged in it was taking a minute or so to load any of the time frames. Then I closed the app thinking it should fix the slow loading times and when I logged in again it said I do not have permission to access this account. I don't know what happened so I can't log in with the app no more.
Update: Problem fixed, thank u! The take profit and stop loss in the settings doesn't appear on the chart, In settings I set my take profit and stop loss at 6 pips but on the chart when placing a trade it doesn't automatically show like it use to....please fix
It used to be good but new login is laggy. App used to give trading insights but for some reason this feature is removed. It's now just a very basic app. May 2022 update: There are frequent login problems with Oanda Platform.
True story - loss of $54,000. The worst and most unreliable platform for trading. I LOST $54,000 because their funding portal server went down and I had a margin call, I attempted to fun my account multiple time( 12 transactions declined) but because their funding portal went down I couldn't fund or increase my margin and the 2 trades I had closed on me and I lost $54,000. They conducted am investigation and after admitting this was a mistake on their end, they decided to compensate me $10,261.
Has potential but being locked out of your account or unable to login in for hours is just unacceptable and could potentially cause many users their account. That is not OK.
Notifications have stopped working, yes I made sure all. The notification setting are on. The price signal will not notify either, I read other comments about this as well. Please fix asap.
I no longer can receive notifications and yes I made sure the notifications were still on. This is huge for me regarding price signals
Notifications don't work anymore for some reasons. Sudden annoying web sign-in requirements. Please fix these issues. Thanks
Update. Great GUI but glitches when reopening it from having it run in the background.
As soon as you start withdrawing your wins they might make it so you are unable to add funds back in. They are happy when you are loseing money, but once you become profitable, they might mess with your account. Previously couldn't add funds, now locked out completely. Luckily had next to $0 money in it. Might have something to do with their out sourcing customer service. Fraud company!! Bucket shop.
Update: ----- Now it won't even open on my Chromebook. The Web version works poorly with long refresh delays. Closing. Original: ----- This new login method is crashing about half the time, and the app restarts, requiring a new login. Happening on both 1plus7 and Chromebook. Additionally, my sessions are getting logged out after short intervals (1-2 minutes). I really dislike this new login method that takes me to a new chrometab then reopens the app. It's not working well like the old method.
Ever since the recent update on security, it is terrible. App does not load properly, keep shutting down. How to trade a fast moving market with such a lousy app. It is truly terrible!
Constantly freezing, have to close and reopen so many times while trying to make trades, then I miss the targets..... sooooo frustrating! Update December 2021... Whatever they did with the login page NEEDS TO GO!!! it switches me over to some other place, tries to log me in... then switches back to the app, but then back to the log in and cycles again and again and I can't get in! It was fine before! People have active trades FIX THIS!!!
App not working, cannot log in. 2nd time this has occurred in weeks.
UPDATE: 5/2022 The site crashes every week when in a good trade on purpose and leaves you in negative! Every week! Heavily MANIPULATED platform! RUN! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR MONEY! I promise you'll thank me later! I would give ZERO stars! I was in a good positive long position. Then the app crashed & logged me out. Took them more than an hour to fix. Logged back in & all positions were red. 2 days later & got notice of a pending margin call. Manipulation! Don't trust Oanda!
The demo is good for practicing. However, if you set stop profits & losses once the trade has closed it won't allow you to go back & look at it to determine exactly how much you've made/loss. When I tried to go live the screen is completely black. it doesn't work. You have to uninstall & reinstall in order to get back to the demo mode.
The layout and features of the app ( take profit and stop loss can be moved on screen so you can easily calculate position size etc) are better then most if not all other apps I've used. But there is a huge problem and its what some others have mentioned in the reviews too, terrible lag Its literally unbearable. Connected to WiFi, standing close to the router and not even at peak market times it can take at least 30 seconds for your order to go through. Way too long.
I just switched to the Oanda fx trade. Love it, love it, love it. I have quibbles about some things that can improve, but early impression is satisfying. Specifically the trailing stop loss was the reason for my switch this app. now if you could just show me the info earier on the far right side of the chart....
wont load about half the time. just hangs there with nothing happening. not ideal for trading on your phone which makes it pretty much useless. needs an update to fix this. user interface is really good and clear to navigate. when it works. Update: spreads are very high compared to other brokers. Commission can be high as well. Best to avoid.
I love what they're trying to do , but it falls short of working. I am using the Galaxy s20 Note, and the graph will lag repeatedly, or even freeze, especially when I'm putting in an order. Sometimes my orders don't execute for no apparent reason. There are way too many bugs that make this app unusable. Once it's fixed, this will be amazing to use. Until then, I cannot condone using this app.
Trash. Can't login or reset password. Haven't received reset email after several attempts
The best thing about this app is the charts. Very flexible and great features for order visualization. However, the 'Activity' option under 'Portfolio' tab continues to disappoint. First there's still too much noise in there. The new 'Sort by' option also misses the point and especially in the ordering. E.g NET P/L can only be ordered from highest to lowest. Ordering should obviously be done by Closing time. The new update feels a bit halfbaked. Check out MT4's 'History' tab for tips.
Has transaction history issues. Will not load more than last five transactions
New login "feature" never opens app, just crashes after sign in. Itd be better not to update app
The app used to work fine before the update. Now 1) takes longer to log in 2) sometimes I'm not able to log in 3) app would freeze while using and 4) no longer able to log in(sends me back to my home screen). All of which hinders my entries and exits. Going to uninstall and reinstall to see if it that works. Unfortunately I don't have any other choice.
App keeps crashing. Logs me out in the middle of trading. I try to log back in and says something went wrong try again later. Then it blocks my account access and I have to reset password. Still says something went wrong when I try to do that as well. It's not the first time that happens. Thinking about finding another broker.
