Bull, your UI is too screwed up to be able to blur effectively for videos of any length...face recognition is non existing and when it does work, it never works right. Not to mention there is no tutorial for people...you just expect someone to know how to use it...lame
Not working at all. Only can select the object but the selection doesn't move with the object. Most annoying thing, that it takes hours but nothing applied on video nor it saves the video with or without the edit.
Give app permission to access your photos and obscure faces on pictures and save. You can pixilate or redact face(s), or pixilate entire photo except the faces. Or block out any portion of the photo. Video mode needs improvement.
Does not work at all. This fails to take pictures. After clicking OK just goes back to screen with list of pictures. Galaxy s8 plus, latest Android version.
App name is a trap. it's a needed app though. Camera Obscura has nada do with it: "A camera obscura is a dark room with a small hole/lens at one side through an image is projected onto a wall/table opposite the hole." "Camera obscura" can also refer to analogous constructions such as a box or tent in which exterior image is projected. Camera obscuras with lens in opening have been used since 2:nd ½ of the 16th century & became popular for drawing aid, it help tracing projected image..."
It crashes. Tapping on screen to give perms does nothing. Manually assigning perms shows a gallery of photos, but it still crashes.
This app desperately needs to be maintained. I cannot use it with any recent Android versions; at least 9, 10, 11. Otherwise it's an awesome and useful app.
Seems to work! Other forms of blur would be useful. Elliptical blurred areas would help
Very cool for editing out little details of photos you don't wish to share. Trustworthy protect, thanks guys. :)
Most apps ask for access to your storage!!! This is not safe from IT Security viewpoint. Don't install apps if you don't need them, you expose your privacy to....
Useless just better off deleting off the play store and app store
the damn video, pixelate, and distortion controls block half the video how the hell can you do anything?
complete thrash! I wish I read reviews before installing this garbage. why it does not ask for access before accessing my gallery is cause for concern.
An essential tool, it works with video pretty well too
Don't install this app,,, video abjects does not blur,, just want you time
Cannot share anything phone may be tampered with Verizon is my service
Useful app. Perfect blur the face.
It needs an urgent updates yo resolve the main technical issues
Does not work on Motorola G10 running Android 11
Its not working at all ..will delete it
Bad app. Don't install it.
I wish the program was updated.
Needs more updates :-/
It just only scrap app 👎👎👎
Don't waste your time. Does nothing
Novelty, though never really used. I'm glad Guardian is in to privacy, but Orbot is all they got. I've never had real world use of any of their other apps. Seems that alot of wasted talent is at Guardian. That's a shame. Well at least they have the look of privacy. Perhaps they put all the effort into Orbot, and the rest of their ideas are just afterthought kinda thrown out their for laughs. Haha.
Works on photos just as anticipated and actually is easier to use than expected. Haven't been able to get the video process to work yet, but I have yet to fully explore the programs capabilities. Overall review: can be very useful & easy to use right off the bat.
Easy to use and no ads. Only exports to .jpg file I would prefer to keep the original file type. For another app or extended features I can use something for redacting names or account numbers on pages of scanned documents. This would require a find & replace type feature as seen in Word and other office apps but for photos thus obscuring the same account number across a multiple pages scanned document. Useful for quick obscuring of sensitive info in screenshot before uploading to cloud.
