The sound system of this app allows you to set the pitch of a note on the go (Android 3.0+). This feature could be done in the Nintendo 64 by using the analog stick.
More features:
• You can enable or disable song recognition (so you can play freely).
• In this app, sounds can be held for about 5 seconds and have a soft decay.
• You can change the background of the app anytime (or choose a custom one!)
• You can set the decay level of the sounds.
• You can keep a note pressed and change its pitch on the go as long as the sound lasts.
• Immersive mode (hiding the navigation bar) available for Android 4.4+ users.

Disclaimer:As stated before, users with an Android version older than 3.0 may not be able to change the pitch (they can't press 2 buttons at the same time since their devices don't support it), but they will be able to play the common notes of an ocarina.
Also, users who have a device with cheap audio hardware may experiment little sound glitches (nothing I can fix), I can only recommend to lower the volume and not to play notes too fast.

So its great, i pnly have a few small issues that may just be my fan ocd kicking in. 1. The pitch is lowered/reaised wayyy to high by default for the buttons, but thats not too important 2. The harp symbol is not on the list, probably a quick and easy fix 3. You cant add a custom song (like the scarecrow song) 4. (Not an "issue" with me) It should be an option to put the buttons wherever you want, with the default and 3ds configs to revert to 5. Add an option to remove the ocarina image overlay on custom backgrounds?
You can turn off song recognition in settings. The d-pad is used to modifying the sound, the amount of pitch increase/decrease can be changed in settings. But I think the N64 used the joystick for this function instead...that would let me play more sophisticated tunes.
deleted this app as I don't use it anymore but it's great for whenever you're bored and want to play any of the songs from ocarina of time or majora's mask. an ad will pop up the second time after playing but none show up after that so it's not bothersome. although you're kind of limited to some notes, this is still a pretty fun ocarina app. I recommend it
A great app and really resembles the sound from Zelda's Ocarina of Time (and the controls). The pitch adjuster is great I can continue to play the notes that are not present. I'm just having a hard time to guess the combinations. Ü
It's nice, but I'll confess that, as I'm more familiar with OoT/MM on the 3DS, having an option to replace the icons with 3DS icons would be nice. I've never played the original, and therefore I keep messing up my songs aside from that, it's nice. Sounds good and works well. Good job.
Very good app. I computed the value for +2, -2, +5, and x2 (to config the pitch adjustment on the left) and now can access C4-D6 (except C6, #s, and flats). I really like the sound this app produces.
This game/app is amazing. Number One reason being that it let's you use a custom background of you want. Number 2 being there isn't a Premium Mode or a Pro Mode they want to stuff down your throat every song you play
its a great app! it has all of the OoT classics. just one thing... can you make a free play option? so that players can learn the songs and play other songs too? other than that, love the app, its great!
Paid version? Full screen video ad right in my face did it for me. Uninstalling. Would happily pay for this instead. Hope you decide to make a paid version. Reply to dev: Touche' - well played sir, madam. Challenge accepted. ;-)
I love love love this game bc I'm getting an Ocarina on Tuesday from Amazon so i got this app to be prepared but i found a little glitch where i play the song of time and it's not Recognized and as i play Song of time i get a Quick popup then it goes away in a snap. May want to get that checked.
Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask in a swing strike bundle pack for Black Friday and Christmas holiday Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask will go off all insane for a double load of Saving the Day as Link in both Nintendo 64, GameCube and 3DS eras respectfully and I seriously miss all 3 eras I feel like I'm Link The Hero of Time which is nearly forgotten but The Hero of all forms of Link is back but he is now a freaking God and he is purely an Immortal .
Seriously? The game (if you could even call it that) doesn't even have original pitches. I want to be able to play any song but you can only play 5 notes. Even though even in the game the Ocarina is a 6 hole ocarina. They were so lazy that they put two holes in one. And the Ocarina that is on the cover isn't even the right Ocarina as it is a 8 hole.
I have this app on my phone and it's pretty great however it refuses to open up on my tablet and continuously closes everytime I try. Both devices are android-based I do not why it continues to do this.
I love this app and have no problems, but I randomly played some notes and then there was a pop up saying "you've met with a terrible fate havent you?" and I dont know how I did that and want to know how to do it again
can you add a custom controls layout? i want to rearange the buttons to correspond to the holes on the ocarania background but i cant find a setting to do so.
I love this app because first of all: I love Zelda! 2nd of all: I love ocarainas aaand 3rd of all: I have always wondered what the names of some of the songs in Zelda! I love this app and I hope you make more amazing apps like this aswell! (maybe you could add more notes sometime tho) :p
Other then the ads. It's fun playing the songs from the games. I'm glad they have songs from both OOT and MM.
The reason I give it 3 stars is because every time I play a song it takes me to a drum add and it wants me to buy it and I can't even go off it can you make it so you can exert the ad
My friend had this she played three songs the the song of unhealing played and the screen its said You've met a terrible fate haven't you. And her phone shut off and I kept trying to get that screen to but I never got it.. Was is just a secret thing?? I HOPE IT WAS
Amazing experience for legend of Zelda ocarina of time players.better from the last game I installed.and the best part you can switch from the ocarina to majora's mask masks instruments and the notes sound just right 10/10
Great app. 100% what an Ocarina app should be. Also kinda cheeky with the "you've meet with a terrible fate" pop up. Wasn't expecting it. Kinda wish i knew how to trigger it. Deff would recomend.
A cute app that brings nostalgia and lets you play songs from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. it does its job well :)

I remember playing this awhile back on a different device. It crashes as soon as I open the app please fix this.
Definitely fun to mess around with and play tunes. I was messing around with the notes to the inverted song of time when I realised playing a certain string of notes would make the text "you've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" Show up. A little creepy but happy it was included in this little app.
