No longer functional. Used to be a relaxing dive. Swim in the water in a number of settings and pick the creatures to swim with. That was nice. But now it's just the deep sea setting with no creatures. Developers may have abandoned this title.
Developers I think there is a glitch in your app when using on google Daydream with the Samsung S8, the frame rates are giving a strobing effect which is very uncomfortable viewing over 30 seconds, I would of given this 5 stars but as it stands the strobing effect of the lights in the water just gives me an instant headache. Would you please look into this then I will write an updated review when this glitch is sorted.
One of the best free app for Daydream. You can buy additional sea creatures, which seems fair even for free user, because free content is also very high quality
It's as close to scuba diving as you can virtually experience. I wish they had the California kelp forests.
THis was the first thing in daydream Ive tried. Dark blurry underwater scenes look great in cell phone vr.
The app has potential to be relaxing but on my samsung S8 galaxy with google daydream it has a strobbing effect, which gives me headaches If this can be rectified i will update my review
This is definitely in my top five Daydream apps. This is what I will show people to demonstrate how cool VR is from now on.
this app is terrifying! and I love it! such realism.
the best under water vr on daydream by far but almost £10 for the other animals is abit steep
Ocean Rift with Worldsense would be perfect! Developers, please fix some glitches. This app is so cool, almost scary! The movements and rendering of the animals are so realistic. Like the real ocean, it may take a few moments for the actual target animals to appear (whales, sharks, etc). Minus one star for the animals blending into each other (eg. manatees) when they get too close to each other instead of just touching like solid objects, destroying the effect. Developers should fix that glitch. They should also add Google Worldsense feature, that would be awesome in looking around the shark cage with 6DoF. And please increase the sound effect volume when the shark hits the cage.
A calm and passable imitation of an underwater environment. It would be nice to be able to swim with the shark, and to turn off the bubbles and breathing noises. The graphics are good but not outstanding. A fun way to relax and turn off your mind.
Great app, the creatures look and move so lifelike, purchased the full version right away. It's the best app I have to show off VR to friends.
Don't use on the S8 if you suffer with epilepsy, don't know if it's the refresh rate but it flickers like a strobe light!? Which is a real shame as I'd like to get the full version, but as it stands now it's unusable on my Samsung S8 using Daydream
Without any doubt, the best VR experience I have come across since I got the first Daydream. Amazing, incredible experience, I'm still saying WOW and I took the headset off ten minutes ago.
A pretty fun app with somewhat limited content, more can be accessed by a 10 dollar purchase.
Tried this on a Galaxy S8+ and the display suffers from seriously bad flickering and double image.
I swam around for 20 minutes and never saw anything other than my own air bubbles. Tried everything from a turtle to the great white shark.
Don't usually leave reviews but well done devs!! App looks and runs amazing on the Pixel XL..can't believe I'm viewing this on a phone! Really showcases what the VR can do!
Splendidly executed. Feels very smooth and looks great on Pixel XL with Daydream.
Beautiful experience. Seriously just an incredibly relaxing app
Beautiful! Immersive! Love it!
Forced Close
Looks fantastic, apart from the slightly expensive in-app purchases, however there is a constant flicker when using the Samsung Galaxy S8 unfortunately. Really excited to play this when this is patched!
Love the sea lions :)
The best underwater experience
Pros: Nice undersea CGI world. Free for the full version with all the creatures. Cons: Flickers on an S9+, which doesn't happen in the Samsung VR version, but they want money (not unreasonably) for access to all the creatures in the Samsung version. No collision detection for moving creatures and plants - you just go through them causing parts of the creatures to disappear.
