OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition which is a technology to convert image to text. This apps takes an image and converts it into digitized text which can then be shared to other applications such as Email and SMS, or simply copy paste the text to anywhere you like.

I purchased the text to speech upgrade and I'm so disappointed. The speech is unnatural, disjointed and hard to understand. It also mispronounced words which makes it even more difficult to understand. I requested a refund through Google Play and I was denied. Overall I do not recommend if you are looking for text to speech features.
It won't let me download any supported languages. My phone is Android, Samsung Galaxy SIII. I had the same problem on another phone - I don't remember what type of phone it was except Android. I have been using Ocr Instantly for more than a year, but I haven't been able to find another that's nearly as good as OCR Instantly was.
Very promising, has potential. The issue is, the last update was Sept 2019. Probably needs a maintenance update at least. It could be a sign this app has been abandoned, and not supported anymore. App Developer, are you there?
Excellent help for students, academics and anyone needing to convert text in a picture to editable text in Word etc. Results are not perfect, but the app saves so much time it is worth 5 stars ๐
maybe I had unrealistic expectations but frankly I think I could type the pages out faster than it would take me to use the app and then correct all the errors.
The best ocr. Only one problem. Other languages are not getting downloaded.

please add support for Marathi Language also. Both Hindi and Marathi languages uses same characters.
Kannada language is not recognised properly.lot of mistakes are there.

I wasted 2 hours trying other 'text scanner' apps before i found this app. I need it for my business. I have hundreds of photos of customers serial numbers names and addresses. Thanks. Can i pay you to create an apk so i can sell/teach my bzpartners.
Absolute garbage software. Tried using it on a picture of some very clear labels and got back gibberish. 3 other apps I tried got it right
Taking too much time.First I was thinking that it may be due to hindi language but after using english I found that the case is same.
I haven't tried many ocr apps BUT I have used this app since 2014 or 2015 and i am satisfied by the quality of the scans when I am trying to copy and paste from a book ๐
this app is simple to use...ocr works very well even when image is not flat or well captured...developers of this app are not itching to make it unnecessarily complex..good job.
Still has trouble scanning ids/hashes using computer font but like how you can scan images and correct any mistakes with the split view.
1- unlocked features are locked again anytime 2- battery usage alert 3- automatic enhancement of images always need adjustments for good ocr ==> waste of money
It's a great OCR app, it's fast as well. But if the developer can add more features like: 1. Option to save on the app whatever you've worked on 2. Saving your work as a pdf file 3. Option to choose more than one image from the gallery 4. Ability for OCR to detect numbers and emails... And lots more other cool features, then this app can be rated as one of the best.
