OCR - Text Scanner

Absolutely THEE BEST!!!!??? The only other scanner in all of G-Play to recognize/acquire/capture as accurately as this one and has been my fav up until this one is Doc Scanner create pdf's Made in India (Lufick). This one is a bit quicker and I have yet to find one mistake out of over 70+ captures and they both work well offline!!! XLNT, don't screw it u with an update, pls. Oh and it says there are ads, where are they, haven't seen one yet, sssshhhhh ....

Works smoothly, nice UI, but massively overpriced. To be worth this monthly sub, it would have to offer much more than batch processing and ad-free. It would have to include: share to txt/pdf/email etc, various sort options, search, tagging, basic text formatting, etc. I didn't look at where output is stored but it must allow saving to external SD. Other users (not I) will want more themes, too. Look at apps that are out there for this kind of price. I'd pay, say, £1.50 *one-off* for batch OCR.

When I downloaded this app half a year ago it worked great! It captured kyrillic letters from screenshots and turned them into a text file, which I could then copy and paste into a translation app. No longer works like this! It turns the kyrillic characters into gibberish of latin letters and numbers, thus impossible to translate. I have found no way of updating it, in fact I believe the updates have caused this. It worked great a few months ago! Why not now?

It is the most accurate OCR scanner I found for Hindi text. It is also good for English text also. The few drawbacks are that it doesn't work offline. You need to have an internet connection to use it. It doesn't maintain the format of the scanned text. It doesn't retain paragraphs. It doesn't extract all the text accurately from tables. Fix it.

It certainly extracts the text well. It dies not preserve the page formatting nor is it clear about how to save the text files generated. You can work around that, but you shouldn't have to.

Initially it used to work perfectly fine but now it always shows an error message that 'please check your internet connection/upgrade your app.' Now the connection is finea and i don't want to upgrade it to premium version, so why does the app doesn't work?? Please don't cheat people, tell them clearly that app is unusable in free version after whatever time you decide. Honesty is the best policy!

Very confused as why the developer provides two seemingly identical apps that are advertised as working differently but do the same (the Copy Text On Screen app and the OCR Text Scanner app). Not only that, but the prices for the pro versions differ, too. Oh, and where is the data sent for processing? These are questions I would like answered and I think all users deserve to know.

It do everything I want and is suitable. I agree itf's very accurate vs eng/afr.. I believe that anyone who wants to take a quick photo from a magazine (TYPING STUFF!) .. or any newspaper or take a snapshot or photo of any written stuff like books etc or screenshots of any info and want to put it together for analyses purposes in one single file or ledger will be absolutely satisfied with this product = enjoy this perfection as it is now! I dont want ads please.. especially while concentrating!

It's good but it has a problem in figuring out the letters of other languages (Chinese, Japanese, Arabic...) And they are printed so the letters are perfectly shown as like they are (in the keyboard and default system writing), if you can fix this problem I'll gladly give it 5 stars

No problem with this app. It's an excellent app for scanning. The only thing is it's too costly to buy . One has to pay 210 INR monthly for accessing unlimited non English scanning. One can't afford this in the age of inflation.

Excellent App best on Play store for converting images to text. Excellent job done but this developer. BUT the price is too high with no option to buy a PRO permanent version. I would pay the asking price for a permanent version. Also the developer stated. Says unlimited scans no ads. Next line down says 50 per day no ads. Too much confusion at this time for me.... PRO

Great app. They will not only show you advertisements but also you will have to pay a huge amount of money to use its features such as scanning multiple pages. You can either show advertisements and provide is full features or you can force the customers to subscribe ,you are doing both it's not fair

seems to work well but losses almost all formatting (and inserts unwanted newlines). It hung while sharing Google photos to it, had to kill the app for it to work again. Actually I'm taking an extra star off as there is no Pro version, a subscription removes ads.

When it works, it's fine, better than Google translation. The image automatically appears as landscape but translation can only be fone on landscape format. Do not understand this additional step. Did not warn about only 4 pages leaving me with predicament. I have emailed re charges. Bit OTT in GBP compared to other apps. Much prefer yearly or one-off payment.

This is an easy app to use and I would have graded it higher except I found out one day when I tried to scan more than four times they told me that there was a limit on the number of scans you could do and I needed to upgrade to premium! That's a no no and I'm uninstalling now.

This scanner doesn't work. You are allowed to make 4 scans per day, but none of them gave a readable text. The next day I tried again, with the same results, and today again still not working, so I deleted it again, and will look for an other text scanner

Still it is giving 4scans per day but your app is working online for basic paper scan like text book images and printed text iamges also But it has many languages that's good and the scans are excellent..I love it but it should be able to work offline and make unlimited scans .now can't use your app bécause of this.. Plz fix it. And the ads are killing after every scan..worse. so only 3 star for u

Toooooooooo many ads, and that too, to the point of distraction. One ad before doing the scanning, one ad immediately after converting the image into text, and one after you try to copy the converted text. IRRITATING up to the hilt.

Will not allow more than two scans. That's a paid feature. Ultimately used Google Lens to complete a big project, and guess what; without spending a single penny. Totally free.

it is the best app in its category , just download it and save your time of searching unnecessory similar apps. only thing is the Advertisement thats pop ups after each scan , but you have both the options either ignore those or upgrade to premium version. i love this app and believe me , i am genuinly writing this review

This is the one which I have been looking for ages. Indic language support! Lightweight. You are simply the leader amongst the crowd. I've tried a few for Hindi and Bengali, this one renders text with about 90-95% accuracy. Keep it up 👍 One suggestion.. please mention clearly in "read - more" section that other language support grabs text of that language, because there are some apps that ambiguously mention other language support for translation and not doing OCR. A user's comment was useful for me to know about Indic OCR feature of this app which is not translation. 👍

I have download many apps to convert malayalam text on photos, to text form and copy it then paste it into a document preparimg in WPS Office App. But those apps were utter failure. I am glad to use this app for the same purpose. Such a great app like this is an asset to playstore. Add new features.

What I looking for from more than two years ago, that’s it. There are lots of ocr apps that recognise correctly English word. But this is only one which can detect Bangla totally error free. Thanks to developers. Experience update: this apps is free for daily 4 scans.

All i have to say is orrible. Tried to make a perfect pic for my textbook cause i have to write and essay on the computer and it didnt scan the whole picture it only scanned 10 latters in a random way. I dont raccomand it. I will try again but im sure it wont work.

It's one of the best I've ever used for mobile OCR-capture purposes. Can you design it to OCR screen capture live content to clipboard like some desktop apps out there? That would be fabulous. I'd totally pay for that. Keep up the good work.

I don't know why these low ratings. Seems people don't want good things be spread. This is an awesome ocr app EXCEPT the interstitial ads. They irritate. Better use banner and other non-interrupting ads. Have stopped using it lately due to the same.

It does well with clearly printed Japanese text, but the moment the font isn't standard or if it's clearly handwritten, the results given are garbage. So far LINE has the best (for finding Japanese) OCR.

I had a issue with the app, and I emailed my issue to them and they got it resolved. I am really amazed with the prompt and efficient response of their team. Also the app is awesome and premium membership is worth the pricing.

Good app but needed to be fixed as Headings you in Urdu not read properly, there should be an option available to take all camera images in grey scale or monochrome, may be useful to fix the error, again congratulations to you and your team good work and keep it up👍
