What a great game! Great graphics and animation, fun arcade action. No stupid ads. Highest accolades from me. I ended up buying the game for the additional levels, and it IS worth the $4.50 purchase price. However β and my reason for deducting 1 star β when you don't have wi-fi/internet access (which for me is often), you can no longer play the additional levels you paid for until you're back on Internet again. Hope the devs fix this bug. Otherwise fantastic game! π
Had to test a new smartphone and ended up installing this just to try it out. Awesome graphics (console quality) for a mobile game. Fun platformer and interesting story. I just played the first 5 areas in Midgard and enjoyed it though that Troll level was frustrating. This is one of the better free mobile games I've tried out so far. The gameplay reminded me of Little Big Planet. Nice kid-friendly intro to Viking mythology. And surprisingly there were no ads which was great.
This is an incredible game. From the music to the visuals, the smooth animations and the beautiful levels and gameplay. Everything here is crafted with a passion that you never see with mobile games anymore, and I respect it for that. The reason for the low review is that I wish to purchase the full game but no matter what I do it always prompts me to pay with one Google account instead of the one Google account I actually have funds on.
Two problems: 1. After paying to unlock all levels, an internet connection is needed for the game to remember that I have paid. Not good when I bought the upgrade so I could play on a long flight. 2. The email address on your app description is invalid, and just bounced back the email I sent you about the above issue. Other than these, the game is amazing, easily in the top 3 platformers for mobile.
It's been an incredibly long while since I thought a game like this could be achieved on mobile devices, I have been proven wrong by oddmar. It's a complete package, amazing and dynamic environment, engaging gameplay, modern graphics and excellent progression system. But the sound gets muffled atimes, I hope the developers fix it with an update. Goodwork guys.
I played the first five areas (Midgard) and what I love about the game is its visual graphics. This is one of the games that is really unique in terms of their artstyle. The gameplay is really easy at first, until you reach the 5th level (Troll Boss). Anyway, you need to unlock the full game after the that level, so I bought it and IT WAS WORTH IT!!! It is now really challenging, and I am now still at Jotunheim. Dont believe the other negative comments, they just can't afford the full game.
Congratulations to everybody involved in this game development. Everything is just amazing, controls, history, characters, graphics, gameplay, performance and everything else. There is too much effort in the art and details. This is the first game I buy for mobile (that does not mean nothing haha) and for sure it was worth it. Congratulations to all the team!
Best android game I have ever played: Oddmar joins the ranks of Cut the Rope and Mekorama as among the best android games I've played. Its protagonist is as lovable as those of these two, and the game design and animations are just beautiful. In terms of gameplay, so far this is a great platformer, which I'm always partial to, but there are no new gameplay elements - yet. However, the design and visuals make this a very enjoyable game.
One of those diamonds I've spent months searching for. Hours of searching for games, I can enjoy & understand is so frustrating. I do have Google's playpass. The game was free, and no ads. I've only started playing this game & I'm thrilled. I love the story of Norse mythology told & illustrated brilliantly, which transitions into game play w music, graphics, & the controls are simple even on my little phone. I'm really happy I found this game.
Amazing console platformer!!! Full 5 stars, would give 6 if available. I just bought the full game, and for 5 dollars or so, this is a complete steal. Its a big like the full console version of Rayman. Top quality cartoons and graphics, and a cool story line (that nobody cares about but its nice its there). The levels are good balanced, and i can go through without it beeing to hard or too easy. Its also not ones of those endless runner games, but it has got some wicked action. Thanks guys!!!
I have completed all the levels. It's super fun to play!!! And it's totally not easy at the last stage, it's getting harder and harder, and you have to quick respond so you can complete the level. The graphics and bgm also very nice, definitely worth money to purchase the full levels π
EDIT: My only issue with this game is that they encourage you to rate the game after you complete the first area but BEFORE they tell you it costs $5 to get the full game. Game is still worth the money, but it's deceitful. Absolutely awesome, beautifully made game! Great story so far, fantastic gameplay and controls (although I do recommend turning the visible controls on in the settings if you are having trouble). Overall, just a really amazing, smooth, polished game. Totally impressed.
The game supports controller which I love. The gameplay is awesome, the movements is smooth, the storyline is enough and the dubbing is great. I tried my best to attain each achievements which is pretty challenging. Speaking of achievements, there are only two of it that I do not accomplished. The one with gathering all the shields (which is nowhere to be found). I wish more games like this caliber will be available here at Google play store. To the developers, thank you for this. Cheers!π»
Gorgeous little platform adventure. Graphics are bright, well detailed, and the world is beautifully realised. The whole thing has a quality that is usually missing from mobile games. This is up there with the best. A small issue is the controls aren't perfect. So use the options to make controls appear on screen and it's 10Γ better. P.S It should be more clearly labelled as a demo, and not a full game. I wasn't aware at first, and I'm sure plenty won't realise either.
From the start, it deserves more stars but only 6 levels are available, the next are at cost. The graphics are stunning, sound effects beautiful, storyline is cool and engaging, the main character is funny and lovable. The game is a side scroler which becomes gradually more chalenging. Controls are easy to handle and the learning curve is short. Over all it is a great game. I enjoyed it and do recommend it.
An actual game. Not some mobile platformer wannabe that tries to charge you for something every two seconds. Reminds me a lot of Rayman Legends, which is a testament of how well crafted its visuals, sound and overall experience are. Controls are kinda the weak spot, but it's the best it can be for a touch based interface. Highly recommended.
After the devs told me we could change the controls to buttons, there really isn't anything negative to say about the game. Graphics are vibrant, music is exceptionally good and now the controls are flawless. Level design is varied and imaginative. There is also a lot of humour in the game. No hassle. No ingame purchases save for the primary level set. This is how mobile gaming should be. Thank you!
Oddmar is a good platformer. The tutorial should include the ability to push items, as I was frustrated to the point of almost quitting early on until I noticed the object and realized I could move it. The controls aren't perfect, but they're adequate. $4.99 to play the second world? i only paid 2.99 each for the three oddworld inhabitants games on android, and they are by far the most enjoyable platformers of all time. i'll wait until lower your price before I continue.
The game is absolutely perfect. The artstyle and graphics are stunning, the animations are smooth, the simple controls keep the screen clean and provide immersive gameplay, the music is amazing, the voice acting is incredible and the story is really good. // Keep in mind, though, that, after completing Midgard (World 1) you need to purchase the full game.
There are so many great free games available, I rarely buy the full version of anything. This was totally worth it. Props to the art team especially, because it is beautiful. The levels are challenging but manageable, and even towards the end when it got difficult I had to keep trying so I could see the rest of the story. I'll be looking for more games from this developer in the future. Super well done. π (Psst. πIf you have trouble with the swipe controls, on screen controls are available. )
The good: great visuals, a fun story, solid platforming. The bad: pay-to-play beyond 1st section (come on, just charge us up front), sluggish controls. This is a pretty fun game, but the poor jump controls hold it back. The developers don't do a good enough job of making it clear you've got to pay to reach higher levels (it's mentioned in the game description, but not clear). Decent game, but flawed in its execution.
Only loses a star because once you've beaten it all you will never be able to start a new game again, which seems like a big oversight to me. Most games like this have at least 3 save slots. Now I'm having to delete it off my phone because while you can replay levels it's not the same without collectibles. I keep holding onto it with hope that an update will fix this. Love the game but I remember it less and less vs a game like Rayman origins that I can replay every year or so.
This is basically Rayman Legends on mobile. That being said, the game is beautiful, controls perfectly and feels like you're playing through an animated film. Levels are varied, the game isn't too challenging but isn't a pushover either. It is just a great, triple A looking platformer on mobile. If you liked Leo's Adventure you'll probably like this one too. I personally have a soft spot for Leo but this one wasn't bad either!
