Off-grid Solar Station Monitor

The app allows you to connect your mobile phone to a Photonic Universe solar charge controller or inverter via a special WiFi module (WiFi eBox - purchased separately) or communication cable. You will be able to access advances charging parameters and performance data for your solar system, as well as amend various changing settings of your solar charge controller.

Overall easy to use but room for much improvement. It would be really helpful if you could store more data and record solar harvest over the last 12 months. Living if grid is all about using your resources and spotting downturn in winter would greatly help. Surely it cannot be hard for the developers to add the ability to see weekly and monthly data from the last 12 months and display it maybe as a grath.

This app would detect my BLE adapter where other epever versions of the app could not detect it. But the UI was unstable, displaying "Operation Successful" on top of all windows which prevents you from using the app. It also constantly refreshes a page preventing you from making any configuration changes that aren't default, rendering the app useless.

why can't i connect to my Tracer charge controller via the RJ45 port? I'm using an RJ45 / RS485 to USB adapter, and connecting Tracer to my Samsung phone using an OTG cable. Still every time the app tells me i need to pick either BLE or WiFi to connect! ignores the wired connection.. any ideas?

The app uses a hard-coded IP address for the serial port which happens to be long to the Department of Defense. If the app could be adjusted for any address the serial Port could be on a WiFi network and you wouldn't have to disable your WiFi and everything else that alone spells poor design if they can't even figure out how to do a different IP address to get to something

Some features missing from pc application like graphs of energy produced and ability to state battery capacity, what would be better is to have 3 decimal places on the kwh readings so we can see down to singular watts and if we had ability to state battery capacity we could then see roughly how much of our battery we recharged during the day and obviously that would be another thing to add. Other than that cool and a very good bit of kit
