OfferUp - Buy. Sell. Offer Up

Click response speed is pitifully slow. Picture loading is pitifully slow. And it is NOT rare. This is constant. As if it is a feature, not a bug. Maybe we have become spoiled by the pace at which devices have become faster and faster, but this problem makes this app unusually slow. Other than the speed of the app, no complaints. Good setup. Just need to follow through with the swing. Take a Mulligan, and try again. NO SLOW PLAY.

Been using this app for at least 5 years and at first, it ran smoothly and loaded fast. Now, the app loads and listings appear, but when I click on anything (even the bottom navigation buttons), I get an error message saying the page couldn't load. I can't even check my inbox which is definitely not a good thing when pl customers are trying to get in touch with you, especially when that's the only way to communicate with them. Please fix.

The concept behind the app is sound. Buyers and sellers can be verified and there is the ability to leave feedback about your transactions. However, the site is loaded with stale listings, some of which are years old. The listings should drop off after 30 days or so and/or require a seller to reconfirm if the item is still for sale. Secondly, there are way too many dealer listings when searching for autos. There should be an option to filter dealers out. Lastly, the app is now quite buggy.

Another disappointing app, full of promises but never delivers. Each time I click on my products it would tell me that it's unable to load due to network connection issues. I've logged in and out, uninstall and reinstall the app, powered off my phone and turning it back on, to no avail. I have the best internet connection and only OfferUp App has a problem. You keep telling me to login when I'm logged in. I can't even deactivate my account. So what's up? Goodbye! What a real waste of time.

Horribly slow app. Back when I started using it in 2018, it ran very well. Through the years, the app kept getting slower. I'm not sure if it's the developers getting lazy, or their UI backend library (I'm thinking Qt?) getting bloatier. Whatever it is, OfferUp is lagging behind it's competitors quickly, and nearing obsolescence.

I had good experiences and bad experiences as a buyer and seller. App keeps making errors and the last update ruined the messeging system completely. Now the keyboard box disappears while you're trying to type and its very annoying. In addition, at times the messeges you receive doesnt pop up on my screen when my notifications are even enabled with app. The app is also loading very slow (Not my phone). Please fix these error. You keep saying were taking care of the bugs but nothing is been done.

The last few days, I'm getting an error that says unable to load. I've uninstalled and re-installed the app, reset my internet connection, logged out and back in but nothing works. The only items I can view are car dealership listings which doesn't make sense. Currently waiting for a reply from OfferUp support via email. For now, the app is uninstalled and I'm looking for a new app to post my listings.

The app was great before but now I don't see the "newest" items. It keeps bringing older items ( I do not mean the promoted ones) posted 1-2 hour ago even when the filter is set up as the "newest". Besides, when typing, the phone keyboard box always covers what I am typing so I don't see what is going on. It has also become slower when loading and with the notifications.

Something is very wrong with OfferUp. I use to be able to message and use this app seamlessly. Now, no one seems to be reading my sent messages even though the app says it was delivered. I have talked to other people who have the same problem. One of the sellers I contacted has been on the app (per their profile) since I left the message and should have seen the notification for it. Please fix this huge problem!!

Technically speaking, the app works well enough (that's why I gave it 2 stars), but good luck getting a response from anyone. Some posts are older listings but the user status says they're active (e.g., "active within the last day/week", etc). Maybe this is inaccurate though because literally, NO ONE RESPONDS. I've made full price offers plus shipping yet they all expire. I had ONE successful local transaction as a seller but that's it. I give up. I'll stick with Ebay.

App has stopped working. Every time i click on an item it says it cant connect the the page because of the server. I unistalled and reinstalled and it still does it. Edit: did what they asked and it still didnt work. Conctacted who they said to and this was the response: "Thank you for reaching out and letting us know you're experiencing this issue. We're aware this is affecting some users and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible." Still waiting...

Used to be great, I've used this app for years. Recently the app has had horrible connection issues telling me that there's network problems when there is not, I could go on and on. I do I.T. for a living so all the normal troubleshooting steps have been done, trust me. ITS disappointing when no matter what device I use I have the same issues with this app & using the web as a workaround, isn't work around when I can't do most of the things I need to do anyways cuz they just don't work.

Ok at first I liked the format but was very slow and would freeze. I updated to latest version and it picked up speed but is still much slower then OU before they merged. Still hesitates and freezes at times and closes on it's own. Updated 5/19/22 & now the keyboard blocks the screen while posting ads. Can't see what I'm typing now. Can't scroll to top of ad while posting either plus can't look at my item from the notification window. Shows internet disconnect message.This update is HORRIBLE!

This app gets getting worse every time. A lot of items i click on to view wont open up because of "network issues". This has been going on for months now. Either fix it or shut down the app permanently. Liked it better when it was Letgo. I really hate the fact that people dont delete their ads once their item has been sold or an item that has been up for months and people no longer respond to messages. ALL LISTINGS SHOULD HAVE AN EXPIRATION TIME unless the user extends it.

I received notifications that certain things that I've accidentally clicked on maybe in my area. why don't receive notifications from people on buying or selling? I've had three people contact me about a item and I didn't realize until months later when I was checking messages randomly. also, I've noticed that there are bots on this app. not 10 seconds after I post something and I receive more than four messages if it's still available. I say yes, and then receive no replies.

Used this App for years, worked great. Now-and for the last few weeks apparently-it's full of listing/posting issues. Spent hours trying to figure what's "wrong" with listings and detailing issues. Then composed lengthy, sustinct email detailing problems. Reply was clear cache, log out/back in, verify latest ver. I did that, helped a bit. Now get listings posted in right categories BUT ARE NOT VIEWABLE BY USERS. Now you want ME to debug more? I'm out of time and not on your payroll. U FIX THIS!

this app for years was excellent pretty much seamless. then a while back I started experiencing all of the same problems everyone else posted in the last 100 reviews for this app. listings don't load. error messages constantly. pages load so slowly. The app crashes. Everything lags sooooookk much!! today frustrated for many months now decided to come write a review only to be surprised that there was an update. Didn't fix anything.

initially worked well and then stops communication with potential buyers. I'm under the impression that the app wants you to pay money to upgrade... so not really free. Exchanging phone numbers so that you can get more commitment from buyers to show up is not allowed on this app. It should be a user choice if they want to share their phone number.

Update: Nearly perfect! Wish there was a way to batch list and batch edit! Also a way to relist items so they show up as newly listed... It's extremely tedious to delete and repost 30 plus items. Also add the ability to verify that you bought something from a person even though they didn't mark the item as sold... This would prevent fraudulent sellers from selling bad items and not being rated for it.

Not only does the app hardly work, they've made it impossible to delete your account! I dug down six pages of "support", had to log in 3 different places, just to get to a broken url. All this while trying to use an app that feels like it wasn't designed for touch screens.

They have actually managed to make this app worse. You cannot scroll one single page without a stupid ad. Also we're back to manually turning off shipping through a drop-down menu. Seems pretty simple to remember my preference of no shipping. Just because I click on an item does not mean I need to see 500 of them the next 10 times I open the app. If that were the case I would do a keyword search, duh. Your sellers are irritating enough when you're trying to buy, don't be like them, fix the app!

This application is really buggy. I cannot add my phone number. It crashes when I'm trying to edit. when I open OfferUp it always go into post a item mode. I updated my app and still keep getting the error message. when I use certain functions. I contacted OfferUp via email. Their response time is very slow and all the solutions have not work. This app and their customer service have not exceeded my expectations. In my opinion letgo was a totally better app.👎👎👎

ever since they took over let go, they have been super super slow in posting, reading the mail recieved on offers, this whole system on offer up is beyond slow and they have not bothered to fix it going on 2 years now...that's why I haven't been on it...it takes a while for the app to even boot up...it used to be with a click, open up your servers or buy some more if that's the problem? Update 5-2-22 Still super slow!! No one helped me from offer up!!! Smh..

Issues with this app are getting more frustrating. The automated responses I get from Offer Up when I report a problem only makes me feel like they have no interest in fixing the issues. It used to be a good app but it has gone from selling, to wasting your time reporting issues that aren't going to be fixed. Going to find a better app.

Years ago when I first started using this app I gave a 5-star rating. Since then my rating has definitely change no longer a five-star. Everything takes entirely too long to load even messages. I have reached out to offer up several times explaining the issue, and nothing is fixed. I don't know what they do to work on the problem but nothing's changed.

This app has an absolutely dreadful messaging system that constantly freezes. It can lead to a lot of miscommunication. Even after updating the app, it still has the same bugginess. For instance, trying to set up an item to sell often leads to the app freezing or crashing, having you start all over again. I thought it was my phone or a lack of update, but no, just another disappointing and frustrating app. Hopefully, in the future, it can return to its former glory.

I like that it is easier to post than Market place, like uploading multiple photos at once. Market place takes too long with all of the details. But, I can't send videos to the people interested like I do on Messenger, or we can't send a voice text. It could use a little improvement or update. Kind of like get the best of both OfferUp and Marketplace.
