Offline Diary

Fishy ad behavior. All of a sudden there are annoying and distracting ads. Just not feeling good about this app anymore. Questionable reply from the maker of this app on my first review saying I was accusing them of "terrible lies". Overreactor. Your username tells it all. Going to find a truly ad free offline diary and transfer my notes there. Any reply will not be read by me.

The app is fine up to you. Then, please tell me how to check in a note that has the word in multiple times. For your information, this app does not highlight or display the count of the searched word, even if that word appears multiple times within the note. Do you agree?

Just an amazing straightforward offline diary-writing app with all the features the average user would want to have. Really love the apps that do exactly what the user needs or is looking for. No overengineering or missing features

It's a super solid journal app. Maybe the only change I would make would be some way to categorise for different entry types like to do lists and thoughts but that's very minor. At the end of the day this is a fantastic, ad free, offline journal which is surprisingly difficult to come by on the Google Play Store. If you wanna journal app this is the one.

I really love this app. First, it's offline. Thus, you won't spend any internet data. Again, it automatically saves itself even when you don't save. Easy to use as well.I really like the app. I therefore recommend this app for anyone who wants an Offline Diary.

Great app for keeping personal stuff personal. Has support for both local and remote backup, but I will probably only use local for security reasons. The dev's original reply was in response to an earlier misunderstanding for whether backup was online or not and the frequency of self-advertising for purchasing said backup features.

The interface is simple and works. No fancy un-needed bells and whistles to complicate things. Less is more...and it can be bought for a reasonable one-time fee. Thanks.

I have been using this app since 3 months and I have a doubt that someday If I got my phone for repair ..can I be able get the data in another mobile with the same account ??is there any backup?

I've used a few online diaries up until now and this one is by far the best. I love the free version and just upgraded so I can backup and export my diary. I also like that by paying a little extra you can get exactly what you want but can still have it function perfectly without paying a thing, very clever. I've had zero problems with this app so far, just love it.

I have been using this application for more than 4 years now. It has become my first choice for a personal journal. Easy to use and small in size so it just fits in even when you have little space left in your phone. I love the app ....just one request to the developers that if they can come up with some option to create a backup of entries... not each time but atleast once when we need to switch our phone after a year or two.

Finally a decent Journal App that is actually private! I was searching far and wide for secure, encrypted journal apps and I just couldn't trust many of them. Then this app hit me with the word OFFLINE! No need to be linked to the internet 24/7! One thing I wish could be done on this app is adding pictures but other than that Brilliant App! Update 3/6/2019 Had a issue when transferring entries but the developers were super responsive and helpful! I managed to get all my entries back.

I use this diary to keep progress notes at work. I was looking for something simple, with a header/title feature on the entries so I can browse previous notes easily. This works well for my needs. My only complaint is that auto-correct does not work (but that might be an issue with my phone). That is not a big issue for me, since I am the only one who will ever see my notes. I appreciate the hard work that went into making this app. Thanks.

Turning on the mentioned option "solves" the problem, as in the list appears blank, but it's not a true fix: the lock screen should load before my list when I first open the app, even with the option disabled... See the video I sent by mail: my complaint is the entries list shows INSIDE the app, when I first open the app. Im ok with the list showing in the "Recent Apps" screen. (Could we move the converdation to mail?I think it'd be a lot more comfortable without the text length limit)

Excellent app for keeping a journal. I love the fact that it is not online, let's me feel my rants and raves are more secure. It has a wonderful security password feature too. App even better now that it has a back up feature as well. That will let me transfer my journal to a new device if need to. It's simple and easy to use. Thanks, I love it.

I'm really enjoying how organized and simple this app is. It has everything you need without the bells and whistles. I appreciate the different levels of privacy available (like setting a pin, being able to see a preview of the entries or not, etc). It's straightforward and intuitive.

I've been using this app for quite a while now and I love it. The (I think)$.99 I paid for the ad free version was totally worth it. Plus they just introduced themes! Yay! My only complaint is that the home screen shows the first line of the journal entry under the title line. Otherwise: A-ok, #1!!!

Originally pleased and paid for the backup option. Had it since March and did a Covid19 diary. But when I had to return my phone for repair 10 days ago, I had to reset it. I couldn't get the backup to work. I managed to export as a txt file but don't know how to restore it. Haven't used it since because I can't trust it at the moment. Hi thanks for reply, got a Java error when trying to backup tried loads of times using every possible option and got same error. It's a pixel 3a and I'm in the UK.

I don't mind paying for even simple apps, OR supporting devs through ads. I don't like apps listed as "free" supported by ads but which require payment for basic functions. This app is upfront about being offline (which I was looking for) &that you'll need to export to retain your entries if you decide to uninstall/change phones. But it doesn't make clear you'll have to pay &it will still have ads! Downloader beware! Don't commit all your entries to this app & be blackmailed to pay! Use notes!

DO NOT USE THIS APP! Spent 3 hours copying text from emails to save to this trash software. Came back and hour later, opened the thing, and no files!! Too bad, it was very simple and seemed to work. If searching for a journal app, keep looking. If installed, terminate at once with extreme prejudice! I only gave it one star to post this review. Zero stars. Worst fail ever.

Easy to use, we can make backup. Searching is good, editing it is easy and practical.

Simple to use. Perfectly offline. Passwords work for phone, but not currently for exports. Awesome for taking notes on the go (just make sure you save). Auto save function would be helpful in case you get interrupted, other than that, exactly as advertised.

Easy to use. Gives a place to put your journal and save it without being online. I also also use it to compose posts, share or copy and paste them online if I want to. Posts can be full of errors, so Offline Diary gives me a chance to edit. I can put in what I want and not what I don't. I repeat this as the problem with online posting is they tend to be lousy unless you can compose. OD let's your post sound great and look great.

A good simple note-taking app that works like a physical journal / note book. It has a backup and sync functions so you don't loose data. What it lacks is.. • Font size & bold for Titles • Category functions - eg by colour or Tabs. Overall a good simple diary worth daily use.

Great app simple one no full screen ads not need of external application to put password and overall nice if you need everything proper and sorted👍 recommended if you hate annoying advertisements
