Oh Hell! - Contract Whist
The aim of the game is to score points by winning tricks (each trick scores one point) and by correctly predicting how many tricks you will win each round (this scores 10 points per round). The winner of the game is the player with the most points after a fixed number of rounds.
The rules of play are those of standard trick-taking games. A card is beaten by a higher card of the same suit or any trump card. When a card is played, the other players must follow suit (play a card of the same suit) if possible. If they do not hold any cards of the leading suit, they may choose to trump by playing any trump card to win, or throw away by playing any non-trump card to lose.
Our version uses 'standard' rules, but a few are optional to appeal to everyone's preferred way of playing oh hell:
- You can set the 'screw the dealer' rule to be on or off
- You can set nil bids to only receive 5 and not 10 bonus points if the contract is met
- You can set the trump suit to be determined by the next card or to alternate
- You can set the number of players to between 3 and 7
- You can play 4 types of game; up, down, up and down or down and up
- You can set the AI level to be either easy, or hard for a bigger challenge

Definitely the best app for this card game. Please could you implement the following: 1) Please could you give the computer opponents fictional names, and display the names at the start of each round? Makes it more realistic and then you know who is in the lead or losing etc. 2) Please could you make the max number of rounds configurable? I like to play 'Up and Down' but only up to a max of 10 cards. Currently its fixed to 13.
I love the game! HOWEVER..... the ads at the bottom of the screen cover up the Continue button at the end of the round. PLEASE FIX THIS This problem has been FIXED! Thank you! I still love this game, and I still give it 5 stars!
I liked this game enough to go premium. It is well-implemented and plays smoothly. Plus, I love how you can totally customize your game and play variations of Oh Hell. It's really fun. The big thing keeping this from five stars is that the ads are totally inappropriate, linking to adult sites, dating apps and the like. Not what I wanted for my phone or for my kids. Give the user more control over the type of ads seen and you will have happier players.
Very good game. Not many, and like that you can custom the game in the settings. You can a and subtract players but I think they should add that we can play with other people with servers

Great game. I like that you can play more than 4 players. Would be GREAT of you could play against other people rather than just the computer.
Really enjoyable game similar but probably better than a game I used to play with my grandparents back in the 70's. Real cards then, of course.

Great game, really aesthetic and great smooth gameplay and with plenty of customisable settings so you can probably play with whatever 'house rules' that you're used to
I enjoy playing the game although I wish they had the option to change the scoring on a zero bid to 5+the number of cards dealt.
Slightly different rules than the way my family plays but still a lot of fun. User friendly and easy to play.
Very fun.... need a undo button...when you hit the wrong card with large fingers. ...also hard to see what others bid.... covered up by bit chart
Just like playing it at home. Only complaint is that no matter how few cards are dealt it seems like the top trump are always out.
Game was great til last update, now it freezes phone in middle of game and I have to reboot phone when i try to play.
