OHD Anywhere

Always disconnecting. Update: On numerous occasions the app does not work. It freezes up and does not work. Thank God for the key part otherwise you can ne locked out of your garage.

OKay, just okay. Like most technology it works for the most part, but when you absolutely need it to work, it will let you down. I really liked it but the latest update really hosed it. Maybe it will work out on its own. but I'm not holding my breath. At the most I have to give it 3 stars. I really want to give it one but that wouldn't be fair, because it has worked pretty well up until the latest update. if you need this to work 100% of the time, you'd best look for other options.

So, what's the point of having this app. I go to use it and it just hangs and tells me service is unavailable. I'm outside my house trying to get in using the app and I can't. Been down for over an hour Seems pretty useless to me.

The app worked great for about a month, but now it just freezes up and gives various messages. What a shame.

Like it when it works. Seems to fail too often. Still waiting for call back after several days. Can't log on right now.

The app is great, but could be so much more. I would love the ability to get notifications if the door has been left open for x amount of time or after a certain point in time.

I recently moved into a house that had the OHDAnywhere available on the garage door opener. It was easy to find the directions on the internet and set up took no more than 15 minutes. Great product.

The app hardly ever works anymore and I have been locked out of my house because of the poor service. Would not recommend to anyone.

it's one of the best thing that ever happen!!! I had a delivery and was able to open the garage and close it.... so convenient

Very slow to start up. Adding someone for access doesn't work so they are in a never ending "pending" status which errors out when trying to delete them. Tried to add someone several times with no success. Refresh notice pops up everytime you move to a different area in the app which takes an unneccessary amount of time - example, "home" to "rules". Hopefully an update will come soon. Other than that, the app has potential and it works for simple open, close and notifications. Seems like the notifications are all or nothing. I don't need to know everytime the door is opened and closed but i need sound alert for my rules.

Just had my new door and opener installed yesterday. Could not get the OHD Anywhere app to work while installers were here. Today I spent some time with support and the problem seemed to be needing to know the proper wi-fi setup in my home to get the app to work. My IT and computer experience came in handy. People with "smart home" devices likely can get this system up and running quickly. The app seems only as complex as it needs to be but is full featured. My biggest concern is security.

Quit working when I upgraded my wifi. Was not able to get the controller to talk to the app. My network equipment is complex, but very versatile...connected via 2.4Ghz band. Reached out to tech support, and they were no help. Said it was a firewall issue, it wasn't(I'm a network administrator). Setup a myQ garage hub with no issues. Recommend not using the Aladdin Connect retrofit kit.

Dissapointed. It was working fine until the last 2 Samsung S9+ upgrades. The app notification feature stopped working. I used to get notifed when my door went up or down. Now it seems that the app is in sleep mode all the time. Only when the app is actually open on my screen do the notifications chime in to notify me. Something is definately wrong and needs fixed. I have to pull up app history to see if my door is open or closed. Time to update your app so the notifications work again.

This app is horrible. I have connected 1 of my door openers, the other will not connect. When you click on "tap for more info" there is NO WAY to return unless you close the app and reopen it. The one opener that is "connected" is not showing connected in the app. At this point I am ready to spend extra money to get a BETTER opener with a BETTER app. This is freaking ridiculous!!!

The app isn't working. Useless until you fix the bugs.

works, but when the garage controller is turned off (light on my legacy is off and no buttons, wireless controls, etc will work) the app still says the signal is received when requesting an open/close signal. maybe have the app report when the opener is turned off/disabled so you arent wondering why the app is not opening or closing the door? other than that, seems to work just fine.

Every time app has issues. Works only once in Blue moon.

Overall it's functional but a lot to be desired: 1. Commands are very laggy with up to a minute to respond to open/close and longer for notifications popup 2. Not sure what the "disable notification sounds" option do as the app still sends notifications with sound. 3. Sorely needs better Google home integration. Right now you can't just say "open garage door" or something similar but have to go tell Google to open the app then open the door. 4. Should have auto open via Geofencing or Wi-Fi.

This app walked me through setting up the system with no problem at all. Once I got it connected to my WiFi, I was able to easily open and close the garage door. This app even has a history tab, which shows you when the door has been open. If you're looking at all the bad reviews, my guess is that they couldn't figure out how to set it up. This works great for me. This even has notifications when it is opened and closed.

best route to go to by pass LED frequency interference. the app will walk you throught it step by step with pictures as well. and the customer service is highly knowledgeable. I love the door report senser for the kits. just wish the motors with it built in came with the sensor. self updates. keep up the good work.

Update: A year later and the app still does not work for android phones. Works fine on Apple. Can't even log in on android. Yes I've updated to the current version. Does not connect to an Android. Works fine with Apple. Spent $300 extra for wifi on two openers and it will not connect to My Note 9. Will probably ask for them to be returned. horrible

I installed this over the weekend in less than 3 hours, from loading the app and registering software to configuring the devices, mounting the hardware and pinning down the wiring. The app loaded quickly, and during several tests the door movement was reported to the app in under a minute. I would suggest OHD include a roll of wire in the 2nd sensor kit, which required a quick trip to the hardware store for some, I mounted my WiFi box near the garage door entrance so that I could reach in and close the door from outside. So, i used the whole first roll getting to the switches by the door. If you choose not to use the buttons and mount it up by the opener, there should be plenty of wire to make it to most 2 door openers. Kudos OHD, this is going to provide me with great peace of mind, knowing I will be alerted if anyone opens my garage during the day.

Works occasionally. Get super late notifications. Can't trust it. Coming up on a year. No response from them for a fix. Many other wifi garage openers without so many issues.. look elsewhere.

Love this app it works good. But I am missing one feature and that is a door open reminder. My previous garage manufacturer would send a reminder at a set interval ie 15, 30, 45 or 60 min after opening the garage. It is really good when the garage didn't close or something happened.

The update fixed the latest notification problem.

Getting really annoying how this app logs out frequently, often with updates. I want tobe able to control my garage without constantly having to sign in. This last update also cleared out the doors I have permission to access. So now not only did I have to log in again, I need to set up the garage door again! Very frustrating!
