This app is immensely helpful, especially for guitar, but also for ukulele, I have a premium subscription for the guitar. It has so many different helpful features. From video and lessons to songs, all the video lessons are extremely easy to comprehend and the layout makes it extremely easy to navigate. It is super addictive!! I promise you the money is beyond worth it! You cannot beat the convenience of going at your pace practicing at any time for as long as you like! This app is my blessing!
This is the app I have been looking for. Also, helped me work in developing my speed, timing and love the gaming aspect as well. I feel that as OKMusician grows and the fact that the intermediate was just added, people will discover how awesome this app is. But as much as I love it, I give a 4 because the company still has yet to get the advanced level up and running. Another major plus is the collaboration with Enya, so people who purchase Enya ukulele can get access to OKMusician which is a major plus. I will definitely update this review as OKMusician adds more to it but from what I experienced so far, I really like it! Keep up the great work!
I got a full subscription last year April(2020) because they said they updated/add songs regularly. It didn't even take month to finish everything available in the app and it's been empty since! Only just added lessons(1/2 minute videos) but still no new songs, no challenges, no anything. Wish I hadn't wasted my money on it. If you're reading this and really want to learn to play, get Yousician. Updated regularly (really), guided lessons, more songs/content, weekly challenges etc.
My first rating was 1 star, because there was only the beginner course, and they did make you pay for a subscription without telling you that the other courses were simply not ready yet. But I support tech start ups (I mentor tech founders in London), so I stayed. Definitely better with the intermediate course, but the pace of this second course is waaaay faster than the beginner course. There's a considerable technical gap, which makes the educational model different from the beginner course's
Don't even bother. Lessons basically useless beyond the first few basic notes. It won't connect with my phone unless hooked up to wifi. And even the editing is poor. I don't need a library of "chrods". It just took up memory space. You're better off to just stick to youtube.
Okmusician is my favourite app. I love this app and Im definitely happy I paid for the premium. Id recommend it to everyone especially beginners! I was an absolute baby beginner guitar player when I first got this app. It teaches you step by steps different chords, notes, picking techniques, etc. The lessons are short and addictive. There are a wide variety of songs to play on your own. Thank you so much for creating this app! I will be thankful to you.
No longer in service, permanently closed is what it says but only on it's Facebook page which is ridiculously sneaky and shouldn't be allowed. My daughter was trying to pick up where she left off with her Ukulele learning and now she can't get access to anything. Awesome! No warnings no signs even had an update in September of this year. Thanks a lot!!
Very well done music app. I’ve always wanted to learn guitar on my own and OKMusician makes it engaging and fun. I like how interactive it is and rewarding too! Keep it up! I can’t wait each day to play.
Amazing. I use this App every single day. It has a comprehensive database of songs and I learn much faster using this App. I know I am heaping effusively, but this App is the cat’s meow! I would recommend all levels using it. It’s also inexpensive. Keep up the great work.
It was great for a beginner until you pass the beginner level and realize there is no intermediate level as promised. You pay for nothing, basically you pay for 5 youtube videos and nothing else.
I am just starting guitar and this app really helps me it’s great because it doesn’t only help me tune my guitar but it has lessons and tools to help you learn more about how to play the guitar and so far I have not had any glitches or adds and that is a really great thing!
Compared to yousician it's poor. It's hard for begginers, I had difficulty to understand the first song for ukulele. It could be easier to read the chords than just regular black and white.
I hate this app. It goes to quickly through the songs and does not let you search to see if they have a song you like or that ARE NOT OUTDATED
Very good beginners course, but can't access intermediate Ukelele course despite being a premium member, very disappointing!
I am really pissed. I have not even started playing the app amd it is already showing, unfortunately, OKMusician has stopped. That one star, is actually a zero star.
This APP is amazing and the new feature are very useful when its comes to the hand to hand chords and lession.I still have a great time!
I got my guitar two years ago and didn’t know what to do with it. I’d always wanted to play an instrument, but didn’t know how. My brother found this app and showed it to me, the next day I got our my guitar and finally learned what to do!! This is amazing!!
Great app i love this app For a beginner that’s just learning for fun this app has really helped point me in the right direction No words to say but thank you for sharing this app to all us who love to play music Thank you
OKMusician Best app I have never played guitar before and this app has helped me a lot, super easy and fun working towards a country singing career.??
Really a no star but can't seem to post without. Not very promising. Condescending teacher on the ukulele!!! First two free lessons tell you the parts of the ukulele and how to tune it. The third he shows tab of Twinkle twinkle little star and you are supposed to follow at full speed. You cannot proceed without accepting a "free one week trial" and submitt to pay annual fee after it. With the quality of the first three lessons I will stick to the free teachers on you tube.
Everything about this app is phenomenal! As a novice guitarist, this by far is the best resource I have in my toolbox.
Will not pair instrument with many phones running latest Android OS. Developer solution is for you to side-load another app instead.
I like the app I really do cuz I didnt know the first thing about ukulele (I chose ukulele for my instrument) and it really helps the first time I tried it I already knew fret numbers and chords now.
I have a life time membership that came with my enya uke however, the app won't open the keyboard to allow me to sign in...
Everything always downloads quickly but downloading the lessons... Might as well forget it.
When you first learn to play you have to think about which note it is you can't get 3 stars right away. Do not recommend!
Very inconsistent, some levels are virtually impossible to get a 4 star on
I've been using this app to learn Guitar for over a week, and I've already learned so much. I haven't done the learning course, but I've been learning some songs on the app. It's a good app for beginners, because it teaches you the basics. When learning how to play on the app, it will help tune your Guitar, help you learn the chords, and more. While it's a good app to learn Guitar, I wouldn't rely on it for things like reading actual sheet music. I do wish they would add more songs though.
