Nice game with beautiful artworks and great soundtrack. The story is well implemented, but a little to predictable. The riddles are good, but a little to easy, especially towards the end of the game. The gameplay is a beautiful example of what can be arcieved with a touchscreen. However, it also gets a little repetitive after a while.

Relaxing game with a nice story and no ads. Not very challenging and not very long. It is innovative though, and there are enough new mechanics to keep it from feeling repetitive or grindy. It feels like a lot of care was put into the game as there were no technical issues. Took me an hour and a half of leisurely play to complete the game. So if that feels like a reasonable amount of time for the price (or if you have the play pass), and you enjoy adventure puzzle games, then I recommend it!

Visually, this game is stunning with careful attention to detail and vibrant colouring. The soundtrack is subtle and pairs well with the tone of the game. The narrative, while basic, packs an emotional punch, though there's no surprises - it's quite obvious early on in the game what's happening. This is a slow game though, much like the old man, and is to be played leisurely; there's no point in trying to rush it. It's short so probably worth a few pounds at most, or as part of the 'play pass.'

A very beautiful and moving visual novel. If you go in with that expectation, it'll be worth your time, and you'll have some landscape /sheep moving puzzles to go with it. But if you expect a traditional game, you should pass on this one. And... While it moved me, I have to admit the story was rather predictable. Plus... It might be seen as a minor nitpick, but the game play had no real connection/symbology to the story. Still... A game worth its price. It delivers where it matters.

Such a beautiful game. Every scene is basically an interactive storybook illustration where you manipulate the environment in simple puzzles to progress. It's charming and heartwarming and I recommend it to anyone looking for a non violent gameplay experience. Edit: I just finished this game and it had a phenomenal ending. I hope this team makes many more gems like this!

A game best discribed as a life evaluation, Old Man's Journey is an unforgettable experience with no dialogue, beautiful imagery, pleasing music, and easy to understand control scheme. The shifting of landscapes to progress can be a little finicky at times, and the game can be very short just under three hours at best. Regardless, if you don't mind a brisk stroll of an adventure where the scenery and story guides you along, then you'll enjoy and think kindly about this game till the end!

I played this for free with my Google play pass. $5 seems steep for the gameplay, which was unique and interesting but a bit repetitive. There's some variation to the gamrplay and I think those elements could have been built on further to keep things interesting and engaging. But the story was so sad and sweet that I cried. The art is supurb and the way the landscape moves is satisfying and dynamic. You can't get stuck, you just need to think creatively when you're in a weird spot.

An emotional journey. With a simple but entertaining gameplay based on terrain modifications and small minipuzzles, the fantastic graphics, music and ambience make this game a really enjoyable experience. The story is little by little unfolded as you manage to complete the levels. The difficulty is well adjusted, inviting you to continue this journey overcoming the obstacles you will find. All these ingredients make "Old man's journey" one of the most memorable games I have played recently :)

A really beautifully made game, good graphics, and the music score is truly exceptional. A nice touching storyline as well. The only reason I'm giving this game 4 stars is because it's an extremely short game. I completed it in less than an hour. Ok, like 55 minutes. It also, wasn't challenging at all. All the puzzles were ridiculously easy. It's almost as though the game was really made for toddlers, it was that easy lol. Still though, despite that, it's a great game.

Waaw, just waaw. A simple, but intelligent design of puzzles. The story just pulls you in and touches the heart. Beautiful artwork, that has you staring and looking for all the details. The music that accompanies it makes the game even more immersive. This game is one of the best Indies I've played in a while. Hope the team creates others like this. Amazing job.

It ain't a game. It's an experience. It's beautiful, yet somewhere it touched the heart with a sad note. More than worthy of every penny it cost me. Lovin' it! UPDATE: Lowering 1 star because the controls and gameplay has started to feel laggy. Also the phone has started to heat up. I have played heavier games, but this doesn't happen. Please fix it.

Beautiful, striking and whimsical, this is one of the most unique abstract artwork I have had the pleasure to view through a highly immersive puzzle-adventure game: it is challenging enough without being unnecessarily frustrating (if you want something leisurely). Storytelling is effectively straightforward and intuitive that it is clear how the player needs to proceed without instructions. Music score was apt and not intrusive. Great work, team!

The story is short, but it far from boring! Beautiful scenery and a charming soundtrack go hand in hand as they help to tell the story of an old man's life. There is a little puzzle work involved, but if you move around the landscape you'll find the answer. I wish the best to the developers and hope they create more amazing games!

The art was gorgeous. It's the main reason to buy the game so I wasn't disappointed. The gameplay itself is tedious and repetitive with very little feeling of reward. The only thing that kept me going is that I wanted to see the remaining cutscene animations. So 5 out of 5 stars on art... 2 out of 5 on gameplay.

I can not describe how much I'm in love with this game. Animations are beautiful, music is fantastic, but story is absolutely best part. I got lost in Old Man's story, feeling immense life experience older people have. Many movies failed to capture such a beautiful, heartwarming story, but this one, pocket-size game nailed it.

Story wise it was predictable (that something happened in the past - it was a family thing - it's one of the family) it's still great tho. But animated wise i love it very very much, I like the style, I love everything about the animation, the color, I can literally screenshot every frame of the game if i want to. it was a really worth it experience. It was more or less an amusing terrain, not spectacular but not ordinary too that's all. all and all it was a great game! love it.

Unique little game with a heart-warming story of love, loss, and a life's "ups and downs". The gameplay itself is excellent, due to the unusual manner in which you are required to traverse the scenery. The only letdown for me was that it became progressively less interactive in the background and more focused on the journey by the end. Add a few more things to do in between and it's perfect!!

Wonderfully drawn art and an style that makes this game stand out. The actual game play loop (raising and lowering hills) gets a little tiresome. There are some odd design decisions, like falling down waterfalls being what you are supposed to do, but as an overall experience its good. I quite enjoyed the man revisiting his past as he travelled.

I'm enjoying it so far even though I'm only halfway through. It is very engaging because of the storyline I love the fact that there are no words just a visual storyline to follow, and just wanting to go on to see what happens. The gameplay is minimal, and so some would say that it is boring but in my opinion the storyline, hand painted graphics, and music make up for that and I'm enjoying it.

Beautiful game. Although it's more like an interactive story, it's a wonderful experience. Tears were in my eyes in some moments. Music, art style, the story - without a single spoken word - 5 stars. This is an artistic experience, if you want to waste time while on toilet go play angry birds or something. 🙂

Echoing what many others have already said, this is quite a short game but a brilliant one. The narrative is excellent with never a word spoken, yet the story is well portrayed and will pull at your heart strings. Beautiful graphics, soundtrack and gameplay. It's definitely worth playing.

Ive only played 3 levels but had to review and say how engaging and stunning the game is. The music, the artwork, the little touches that make it magical like being able to interact with many elements of the game. Very emotive and immersive. Exactly the type of game ive been looking for.

And. B. Mar 31, 2022

The design is nice and the story concept is good but I found the puzzles to be repetitive - there is only one type in this game, there was no tension and the plot was wafer thin with no arc at all. It's also quite short. Nice animation but only skin deep for me.

Agi. Aug 5, 2020

A fair warning for anyone who's expecting this for a heavy puzzle game: it's not. But that being said the game itself is pretty great. The story is touching and the visual is gorgeous. The control is a bit wonky, especially when adjusting lanes.

It is a visually and audibly a very nice game. But for me, the manually walk from one cut scene to the next one, is just boring. Nothing extraordenary happens. You walk the life remembering of an old man and that is about it. Nothing fancy. If you want a calm well made comic movie, with some interactions in between, download this one.
