Old Time Radio Player

Thank you for the "fix"! App is working again. Sadly this latest update is crashing with Android 12. Used to love this app! Hope it gets fixed soon.

Excellant f you love old time radio shows. Great selections by genre. Quality of audio is 5x5!

Switched phones. Had a wee problem locating the no ad version of this app. Found it.

This app used to play shows continuously until I shut it off. It seems that is no longer the case. I have set the app to play continuously but it shuts off as soon as my screen times out. Which means, I can't even get through an entire episode before I have to take action to continue listening. I have switched to listening to podcasts because they just keep going.

The shows are great when the app works. most of the time I get a "Connection Failed " error. and when it does work , it stops playing within 10 to 30 seconds. It worked great when I first downloaded it. So I downloaded it to 2 other devices hoping it would work on them, but nothing . the app loaded but will not play at all. Maybe the app needs updating. It seems to be incompatible with my newer devices, or when I do a system update on my older devices.

First, I've never seen an update for this app. Second, when I open the app, it automatically starts playing the last episode I listened to. Third, when I select an episode it will play for 5-30 seconds, at which point it either starts over or goes to the next episode. Then this pattern repeats. However, sometimes it seems to resolve itself and sometimes it doesn't, resulting in me having to force stop and/or reinstall. Fourth, sometimes the sound quality is awful...mind your volume!

I am very happy with this app. It provides a great selection of Old Time Radios shows! While it seems a little basic, it works great and is easy to use. The included ads are unobtrusive. My only recommendation is that a way to control playback speed be added. Overall, 5/5, it's a great app!

Used this app for many years. It's probably my favorite Android app ever. Recently, it began losing its place. Restarting playback from somewhere else than where it left off, at the beginning of the show or crashing altogether. Please fix my favorite app!

The classic programs from the seminal years of broadcasted entertainment is a wonderful source is now muddied with a despairing low audio quality. With all the cutting edge capabilities of tofay, I don't know why it sounds as if it were truly coming from a 1944 Victrola. It could be somewhat charming, yet On a smartphone, it's very distracting.

Bad programs skip, paid for no ads and still get ads! Pass on this app

I have loved Old Time Radio way before the days of the smart phone!! Good ol' a.m. dials! I love listening as I drift off to sleep and on road trips to the coast. I'm curious why there hasn't been an update for almost 3 years? The continuous play doesn't do it's thing.. I would really like to keep this as my staple... Help me keep it so! 💖

I cannot get into the gern my tapping the microphone anymore I clean the application cache stop the program and settings. Then I restarted my phone and tried it again. No luck. I've been deleted the application restarted my phone once again and then went to the App Store and reinstalled it. I still cannot get into the gern menu nor can I change the story by tapping the microphone.

I've used it for a for about 2 years. No problems with it, but now it won't go back to the menu selector. It's stuck on one episode. It needs an upgrade for bugs.. will happily edit my review if upgrade comes out. Has been a great up until now..

Great selection of shows and plenty of content. Android app crashes more often than it should, and unfortunately your place is lost when this happens so you have to attempt to find it again. Content has me coming back but crashes are frustrating.

This app I have found(in my opinion), to have a wide selection of fiction. I do like the clear audio quality in spite of the fact that it really quite old. It takes me back when when one relied on the radio for entertainment. I like this app so I've given it a 5 star rating. Thanks Team. ~ 🙏💕💖👍😁 NAMASTE!

Love the app, love the selection of episodes, and there are so many of each! My one complaint -- and it's fairly minor -- is that whenever I open the app, the last episode I listened to starts playing automatically. I wish it would wait for me to make a selection.

I like the variety of programs, but they always stop & you have to restart, it doesn't return to the same spot so you have to fast forward. I can't get it to continuously play show after show. Probably uninstall it & just use Tune In Radio.

it used to be a great app. I unloaded it after listening to all of the programs, about 4 yrs ago. I actually downloaded it again yesterday, hoping for new content. But unfortunately it was the exact same everything. No new shows, upgrades and tired look! Shame, they could have been a 5 star if more work was done on app!

I enjoy the shows but it doesn't play in background as it says it does. I have to keep it open on the screen so I can't do anything else while listening if anyone one calls or text me it closes and restarts show from beginning which is quite annoying
