I'm unable to sync my fitness tracker to this app. In the group message and the lesson mentions the "activity" section should have an option to "connect activity tracker", but I don't see that option at all. My phone is updated and so is the app.
I really enjoy Omada. They made it easier to be aware of the wasted calories that I consume ( usually without thinking). I am much more conscious of this. Weighing in daily has become a habit right up there with brushing my teeth!! I am never surprised when I gain weight after indulging ( over eating) but I feel confident that I will lose our after returning to the good habits that I have learned. It's been a wonderful, life changing experience!
this was offered through Cigna and I signed up at a time when I was ready to make a positive change. the app is fine, but the Omada process of creating new habits over time is effective and sustainable. so glad I gave this a try... better than any other diet plan, because I feel like I want to keep it up. totally recommend.
Strongly suggest setting up a separate email address only for the app, particularly if you receive email on your phone otherwise your phone wil be alerting you almost NON-STOP, of course with the disclaimer "You received this email because you signed up for Omada." Every time someone leaves a comment, replies to a comment, reminding you to get weighed, attaboys for getting weighed , and on and on and on and on.. Even reminds me to do stuff I have already done.
Used it for a while. I liked it initially but had major issues with their scales not working. I was sent 3 of them and they are very unreliable. My biggest issue was the lack of involvement of the coaches and other team members. I was pretty much the only one doing anything and the coach was just putting cut and paste conversation starters out there from time to time and not even really responding. Pretty much getting paid to do nothing. The potential is there, but more of a hassle then anything
The food tracker does not count calories/macros. Myfitnesspal is a much better tracker. I'm also not sure of the accuracy of the scale. It will show I'm up a pound or 2, yet, my other scale, which has always been consistent, will show different. I cannot get my steps to sync. This is a great program for beginners who have not met with a dietitian in the past. Otherwise, I'm not learning anything I don't already know.
Long term healthy habits! If you are looking for quick weight loss program this is not it. If you are looking for long term changes that will teach you healthy options and how to make better choices this is it. The lessons remind you of things you probably already know but haven't applied consistently. The individual coach support is supportive without being overbearing or intrusive and the group message boards are a great place to find support when you need it.
This app and program was just what I needed. Using the wireless scale with it provides superfast upload of your daily weight, I'd say under two minutes. Then it displays your weight in a chart where you can easily see your progress in numbers and as a percentage of your goal weight. When you enter a meal, it stays in your history, so the next time you start typing 2 or 3 letters, it pops up in the drop down list so you can just select it then, and not have to keep typing. Awesome app!
Clean app, easy to use, works well for the most part with the exception that it is difficult to click on the heart to like messages, and sometimes it's confusing to see all the chats...it would be nice to see the blogs as topics to click on instead of having all conversation lists open, that's alot of scrolling, or even being able to have the option to archive the conversation would be nice also. I still give it 5 stars, because nothing is perfect.
This app Is user friendly the biggest downside is the messaging functionality. When you're typing a response you can't really scroll up or down to edit your typing. It would also be helpful if you could attach screenshots or images. While it does sync step information from a few applications it doesn't sync food or water. I also noticed when you get a notification if you click on it it doesn't always take you back to that specific comment.
This is a basic piece of software that is similar to MyFitnessPal without all the bells and whistles. What frustrated me was that you lose all access to the app as soon as your subscription is ended. There is no free version of this app and the "free" smart scale that they send you collects your weight information without your permission even after your subscription has ended. This is pay for play software and is not really supportive in the long run.
This has been a wonderful program in which to participate. Regarding the app itself, it works well and covers everything one needs. I found it to be a little buggy, especially trying to go to the Group page. Often it appears blank unless I go to the Home page first, then Group. It would be cool if the app also had options that encouraged more commenting in the groups.
The Omada app is easy to use and has an intuitive user interface. When you use it in conjunction with the smart scale, you can instantly record your progress and check your progress over time. If you turn on notifications, you will be prompted to enter your meals and be reminded to weigh in. Along with the coach and lessons online, the program and the app all work together to ensure a smooth experience. I have not had any bugs, problems loading, or issues with the app in my year on the program.
