I'm fairly certain this app has been abandoned. While the OMG! Ubuntu website is great and has great new stories every day, this app has not been updates since 2014 (according to Google Play) and now only gives a network error. Articles aren't even being fetched from the site by the app.
Like the UI and content is nice. One thing though is an annoying bug causing a blank notification that I can't get rid of without opening and closing the app a few times. Also some unexplainable battery drain.
Love this app but it is broken. Fails to refresh stories with error "Ruh roh! There's a network issue. Try again in a few minutes." Failing since Feb 16 on both my tablet and phone. No network issues with other apps.
Last night this application has used up all my battery suddenly. I mean I woke up to find my battery discharged( was full ) and this app on top of consumption list with 40%
The app used to be great but now fails to update, reporting a network issue. Same on phone and tablet. Just recently failing.
Great Application, Provide news about Ubuntu release, software n all other information. Great thing is it does not contain ads.
No longer updates articles, no app updates for almost 4 years, appears abandoned. Uninstalled and go to website instead.
Keep getting a network error, which results in not being able use the app. I have had this issue for a few weeks. So i'm guessing the app isn't getting fixed or maintained. #DontDownload

The app is awesome.. Great for news not only about Ubuntu but for most of Tech.. The UI is awesome. Keep up the good work
Could be made to take better advantage of Android. You cant zoom in on pictures in articles and the app doesn't take advantage of certain features within android e.g the status bar at the top of the screens colour.
Used to work fine, now not updating anymore. App is actually not updated anymore since 2014. Avoid the app and just go to the website instead.
The sites is awesome but the app has a app as many users have report.it says that have a network problem.The rate is just for now to let you now about the bug ,when the bug will be fixed my rate will change as well.Thanks for making the news a bit more interesting
The app didn't work when I installed it on my LG G6. It was the was a network connection problem.. I hope this gets fixed so I can use this app.
I have network issues.. My internet is working fine but the app does not load news updates when connected to internet.. Throws network error
Great app! You only forgot to update the app because the website uses https only. Since then I haven't been able to update articles...
The App was great but stopped working in February : Network error - Currently BROKEN. I will update the review when it working again. December 2018 update : STILL BROKEN
Just getting into linux and Ubuntu, this app has a wealth of helpful information, it's basically the website in an app but it works quickly and very well. Easy to navigate. Well done.
Loved the app (previously) but unfortunately as another reviewer had said your not able to refresh stories anymore as it pops up saying network issues

Used to love this app, but I keep getting network errors since February 2018. Sadly, I have to delete it since it seems that nobody is tending to it.
Since start of Feb I just get a blank screen followed by uh oh there has been a network issue. No option to update and a clean and reinstall made no difference. Was good when it used to work.
The interface pops up but the news stories don't.
Used to work up until they changed the way they aggregate their news on the site, the app fails to pull data. Not sure if the developer knows?

Same network issue started happening as others have mentioned, says Ruh roh there's a network issue. I have cleared cache, data, and even uninstalled and reinstalled. No change.
Doesn't update articles since the start of February 2018...have been checking for a month until now, it's March now but still there is no fix. Doesn't seem like the developers will fix this issue.
Was good now not no connection. Emailed them and no reply or fix EDIT... Nearly a year later and still the same. Shame about this forgotten app. Not had an uodate since 2014
Theirr website is excellent. This App is absolute rubbish however gives you a network error. Complaints have been since February its nearing end of march. SOMEONE FIX IT. Wont change the score until then. All other apps on my LGG4 work without issue.
