Omni-Crypt
* UPDATED SUPPORT FOR CRYPT9-12 BACKUP FILES *****
Omni-Crypt runs as a background service and will monitor and convert WhatsApp .crypt5-12 files to .crypt legacy encryption. This means that apps which have not been updated to support these additional encryption formats will continue to function correctly. Integrated support for legacy versions of SMS Backup+ is included. The app may also be used as a stand-alone .crypt5-12 decrypter / recrypter.
Technical Specifications:
* Manual decrypt / recrypt runs as a background task and displays a progress bar so as not to clutter or freeze the UI thread when dealing with large databases.
* Screen orientation is locked whilst manually decrypting or recrypting so that this important process is not interrupted or terminated prematurely.
* Will check the backup file every 15 minutes. Not all backups occur at 4am because WhatsApp is process and memory aware. Then of course there are manual backups.
* Supports devices which saves the latest backup file in the msgstore-YYY-MM-DD-N format. Most tablets do not save the backup file in the usual format.
* The background service is extremely lightweight and has minimal impact on battery life. It can also be paused so you don't have to remove the app to stop it.
* If you have SMS Backup + installed then Omni-Crypt will send an intent to trigger the backup process. No intent will be sent if it's not installed.
* The background service will publish both an alert and a notification upon each recryption (usually once per day). Please purchase a pro key to disable this.
* Incremental mode for creating .db and .crypt files that only contain new messages that were not backed up during the previous cycle. (pro feature).
Limitations:
* There are no magic cipher keys for CRYPT6-12. The key file is only available to users on rooted devices or users with Android 4.0+ installed (additional setup required). You will therefore REQUIRE a rooted device for CRYPT6-12 or Android 4.0+ (see troubleshooting section).

* How do I enable Crypt 6-12 on a non-rooted device with Android 4.0+*
* 1.) Download: https://github.com/EliteAndroidApps/WhatsApp-Key-DB-Extractor/archive/master.zip
* 2.) Run the bat or ps1 file on Windows or the sh file on Linux (see the README.md file for help).
* 3.) Enable Crypt 6-12 Backups in Omni-Crypt.

* How do I root my device?
* You should visit XDA Developers Forums and lookup your device to find a relevant rooting guide.
* What happens if the background daemon stops working?
* Simply go into Settings > Apps > Omni-Crypt and tap both "Clear data" and "Clear cache". Then open Omni-Crypt again. This will reset the app and clear any potential corruption with the recrypt scheduler.
* What if Omni-Crypt is not triggering SMS Backup+?
* Open Auto backup settings in SMS Backup+ and tick 3rd party integration.

I downgrade my phone, and reinstall everything from scratch again, including Whatsapp and Omnicrypt. I have root access, but Omnicrypt not working, it says "Crypt key is corrupt or non-existent". Still doesn't work after update, now it's forced close.
Unable to get Root despite phone is rooted and all other applications requiring root are working nicely. I believe that it doesn't check root status and simply pops up a message.
Hii I did what u tell in the description.. but I did not find folder where messages were stored... U told u can get messages from extracted.. w But I did not find anything Please reply me as early as possible
Nothing work, if making any app for particular use, it must be easy and simple to use. To run this we need to download 2-3 other Apps, but still ot is not working.. Worst App on Play store.
the app is great good work!!.. but i have a problem, When running WhatsAppKeyDBExtract.bat i got the following message: " Unable to locate the bin directory Did you extract all the files from the archives (maintaining structure) and are you running from that directory? " Existing... Why i'm getting this message?
I got my phone root, its tell me that doesnt work with phone non root
Great idea but doesnt work for me. Tried to extract the key using the non rooted method but step 3 keeps showing the same "not rooted" error message.
Great app, but unfortunately whenever i press enable crypt6 option it says that it cant find roit. Although my phine is rooted.

Nice idea but doesnt work with even rooted phone. Tried the non rooted option even worse..program closes down on its own. Supersu has granted permission but not working. Extracted the key myself through es filemanaget and says key different for the database....again..nice idea but very very very buggy..sure it works for some but most of use wont be able to use it...
