The app is extremely frustrating. Trying to set the lights in the pool...things were working at first. When selecting certain colors it will actually turn on different colors then selected. When changing the pool light it changes the spa light; I cannot change the spa light because the app is forever loading that section of the page. It will not load! Reached out to customer support last week and although they claim to try and respond within 24 hours they have not (it has been about a week now).

App is just okay. Themes needs work. Should be able to pick equipment and settings and save it as a theme without them being running. To that end there is no way to edit a theme. You have to start up all the equipment and get it running in the format that you want the theme to be in and then save it again. Also, the app fails to function quite often due servers being down. Lastly, many times app shows equipment in one state and equipment is in fact in another state.

This app is isn't that great. You can control pumps and features and that's it. You can't view or modify any of the settings that you can access from the main control panel. Considering more modern apps like Rachio's or iComfort from Lennox completely replace or duplicate the main control panel, this app is pretty disappointing. It would also have been great if it had included some ability to set pool maintenance reminders and did some basic pool water quality check stuff like Leslie's Pool Care

4-17-22, app wont even load, I'm on S22 Ultra. Update 4-16-22, app won't control functions. It's like it's getting worse with time. Update 1-19-22, spotty app, no access again to any functions. Won't even log in. 9-21, Server access restored but still no function of some features, like features off button. Please fix.

It's good when it works but the app will not load most of the time. Try to set the lights and it is not the color it shows Lights shows are never what you select either. Very frustrating.

My entire experience with Hayward has been frustrating. The Hayward branded wireless connection is the most unreliable wireless setup iny home. The app functioning is a coin flip after opening. And sometimes it'll work great then 30 minutes later it doesn't work at all then 30 minutes after that it's functioning again. Presently I can't even log into the app to check status of my pool. Phone restart, pool restart, no help. Incredibly frustrating. Hayward customer is the only thing less reliable

After posting my original comment, the developers worked on this and they made this a lot more stable. Thank you for listening to the customer. My review is now adjusted. Here is my original review...The app opens up maybe 1 in 10 times. Otherwise it just spins forever.

Pool and weather air temperatures are reversed in the app!! Where the app is supposed to show air weather temperature, it shows my pool water temp...and where the app is supposed to show my pool water temp, it shows the air weather temp. The problem this causes is that my Hayward heater in remote operation (controlling the heater from the app) has the wrong pool water temp and thus the heater doesn't know when to properly heat and when to turn off. I'm not sure how to fix the temps in the app!

The GUI can definitely be improved but the app works which is most important. I live in California where a lot of energy companies now charge by Time Of Use (TOU). It would be great to have preset schedules based on California energy companies lowest kWh charges such as SDG&E.

Overall does what i need it to do. Easy to set up with the control panel and easy to use. Sometimes it is buggy and will have to uninstall and reinstall.

App only works occasionally. When it does work it's great but 75% OF the time I can't get it to turn anything on. Have to go to the panel and start up pumps, hearer and water features. Very frustrating.

Love hate this app If you lose connection, you need to upload the update into the wall unit, either via connected computer or stick. How about, instead of notifying of the update, via email, you auto send the update. Trying to search ur site/login/read 10 page schematic, get login issues, is annoying bar none. Or, quit doing updates every 3 weeks. When it works, the app is nice. When I need to use it, its offline. Its moderately reliable. Customer service assumes we are all tech junkies

Not working the best lately, the system doesn't work when you try to change settings or turn the spa on. You have to reset the system to get it to work and sometimes that still doesn't work

Horrible, never stays connected to router or issues with server. I even purcheaed a wifi extender (thats to the geek squad) to see if that fixes it. NOPE! Impossible to get it fixed. All repair techs keep telling me to contact hayward. Hayward does have decent customer service. They do send out troubleshooting steps for me to fix. Problem is I'm computer illiterate and have no clue what I'm doing. What's the sense in having this system if it never works.

There are no temp alerts that I'm aware of. Our heater stopped working the water temp dropped over 20 degrees and we had no idea. The heater was down the entire weekend and I didn't get 1 alert regarding the heater. Turning the lights on/off and changing the color takes a while.

This app, like most Hayward products, is pretty much junk. It has gotten worse over time instead of better. For example, the app used to be able to turn my pool lights on. Now it turns them on for 15 seconds and then they turn back off. If you retry multiple times, eventually they'll turn on. It helps to try turning them on with multiple copies of the app. My app can no longer control the heater. It still works with the controls on the heater, but not the app.

It is nice to be able to connect anywhere that there is an internet connection to my pool system. The reason it doesn't get five stars is, that on the computer there are plus and minus buttons to change temperature and pump speed on the computer web browser interface, on the phone app there is only a sliding scale, so it is harder to make only minor adjustments to the settings with the phone app.

Poorly Conceived and Horribly Executed I have had the OmniLogic system for 2 years. It is a disaster. The interface at the panel looks like a 7th grade computer science project. It will not stay on-line. I've replace the main board, installed a separate router, and had Hayward tech to my house twice. The recent update to the app makes the interface better, but if you can't connect to the system, it is worthless. I have been in commercial automation for 20+ years and they should be embarrassed.

The app works well for what it is designed to do, but is fairly basic. It provides access to the critical items in the pool that most users will want to see. There are 2 changes I would like to see: 1) I would like to be able to add the pool light to the initial My Pool screen. Most pools have a light, and I shouldn't have to go to separate screen just to turn on the light. 2) I should be able to test and set the minimum speed my VSP pump has to run at for the heater to operate. (This should really be in the OmniLogic). Once set, if I schedule the heater to run for 4 hours, it should automatically ensure the pump is running at this speed. It makes no sense to have the heater scheduled to run, but can't because the pump is not providing enough flow.

This app actually works well as far as it goes. Certain things that should be there are missing and others would be on my wish list. Missing: Temp reading for solar sensor, ability to set date and time. Wish list: Ability to capture and download data like date, time, solar temp, water temp saved on an hourly basis. This would help me understand the Dynamics of my particular setup. I recommend this app but would appreciate some additional functionality.

Worked fine 80% of the time until yesterday, when the app on both my Android phone and tablet stopped connecting. This is the 3rd time this has happened in the last year. Signal is strong with the wifi bridge and on the right network. Two uninstall, reboot and reinstall have not solved. Why have an app and pay the extra for this function if it can only reliably be controlled at the pool panel?

Good app for general controls. The software is missing a key component, sunset and sunrise times for the lighting automation. Instead you need to program fixed times, but since sunset is hours different summer to winter, you need to create several different schedules and switch through the year. In this connected age, that's really inexcusable. I'd also like to have this system integrate with SmartThings so I can get alerts in a central place, it would also allow me to coordinate all lighting.

The new organization is better, more user friendly but I can't get the favorites to save, there is a long lag between using the app and it updating on the equipment and vice versa. I often have to manually direct the settings at the equipment and even then the app will reflect different settings and reading. For example the spillover is "on" but the app says it is off ... No a huge fan.
