One of my favorite mobile games and one of the best I've played. It's got the classic retro art style, music, sound effects, etc. Gameplay is simple. It arguably doesn't take much skill to play, but the fact that you can constantly improve and beat your highscore keeps you coming back. Ads aren't bad on this one, either. It's easy to earn coins, no in-game purchases necessary, but I actually wanted to spend money in support of a game this cool.
Very nice animations, lots of fun to play and kill some time. There are however a lot of problems. My biggest concern is the quest system, which is probably the easiest way to collect income. In short, the "(finish) " Aspect is horrible, and it makes doing quests much less fun. I needed 30 tries to figure out why my quests weren't getting completed and I couldn't find a single source to help me on the matter, not even the official game page. (Edit: top is better, thx for fixing it)
This is a great mini game. Really gets intense once those combos start piling up. It's a 'just one more try' that usually ends up being 10 more tries kind of game. It's nice to play for 5 mins casually, or really get into it and push to your new high score! No one likes ads, but the game is free, you can play as long as you want, and you can pay $1 or something to get rid of the ads. Would def recommend One Punch!
Very entertaining and slightly addicting if you like this format, ads are minimal, cause they're all pretty much chosen. If you got far in a mode and want to keep going through that turn, then you have a choice to watch an ad. It's not like others where ads are unavoidable and annoying. The game is so enjoyable and is really worth the little amount of space it needs to download.
I love this game, I really do. It rewards your patience with quick combos and it punishes you for your simple mistakes that you can only blame yourself for; this makes you want to play more just to improve. However, the fact that all the characters need diamonds to buy is not so great, and one character and about two other items need "controls" to unlock is downright confusing. How is anyone supposed to find the secret input? Overall, great game!
I play mostly on pc so don't take my opinion to hell and back. The graphics are pretty smooth and retro like. Gives a bit of an vibe. This game is decent (for an mobile game), but! The controls are wonky with only two controls: "move closer to bag" and "punch bag" with mostly results in an game over so you will mostly play other game modes like a pro cause of the controls. Otherwise, great game. Keep doing what you do.
This game is amazing! It's creative, fun, and addictive. The controls feel great, the art is stunningly good, and there are plenty of different game modes to play! There's also a huge roster of characters, maps, ect. I do wish though that you could unlock characters and cosmetics by reaching high score in other modes than One Punch. It can get tiring playing the same mode over and over, and I wish you could unlock cosmetics by playing any of the modes. Other than that though, this is awesome👍
It's really good fun. Simple mechanics, easy to learn, cool characters, the ads can be a bit intrusive but it doesn't distract you that much (unless you're in the zone thrn the ad just takes that away). The only thing that I would complain about is during PVP. I hope there's a way to disable you seeing and hearing the enemy as it gets really distracting. But overall nice game.
It's a game with potential, but gets repetitive quickly and ads are around every corner. First of all, I have to say that the spritework is pretty good, the game looks great, animations are very well made and things are mostly consistent (some text stands out with non-pixel font). The music is awesome but it sounds terribly compressed and "crunchy". The gameplay is nice and simple but there are ads every few clicks and even some daily login rewards force you to sit through them. Overall it's Ok
I'm hooked. This is a great game. Good pacing, great art and animations-- good incentive to keep playing and unlock tons of stuff. Only thing I dont like is the music. It's a little grating on the ears after 10-15 minutes and wish it would change up once in awhile. Consider maybe.. different music for collection screen? Or different music for stages or modes? That aside.. this is clearly a passionate project and I very much enjoy playing :)
I admit I was really wrong about this game in my initial review. it's really fun and challenging, you can collect everything in the game without paying any money through the in game currency if you don't mind a bit of a grind and all the art is done really well and the characters are all very neat and varied. the multiplayer ranking system is really fun, and it's obvious the developer works really hard on this game! this is overall one of the best games on the play store!
It's a step above the average casual game, in both its aesthetics and its polished handling, as they both uplift the other, acting in a complimentary manner that's hard to find in an app. The simple mechanics and the simple visuals are both understated, but they end up making more with less. The polish these areas make up for the small tics in gameplay. The small downtime becomes abysmal, more of a turnoff than a cooldown, and it really chops up the fun of experiencing the visuals. Overall 9/10
Very fun game with a slick style and simple yet addictive gameplay. My only gripe is that when purchasing the coin doubler, the "get rewards without having to watch ads" perk doesn't seem to be working.. or maybe it's just misleading. Sure, the free non-video reward boxes are doubled but you still have to watch an ad to get the 60 coin boxes. So what did the ad removal perk do? Clearer wording would be much appreciated.
Game is awesome! I really love how fast paced it is, how fun it is! Not too much ads (in about 20 matches I got only one ad), a lot of collectibles, and a very eye-catching art style! As I read on other reviews, you're not English speaker, and that's okay. I have suggestion for translation : when you ask if person is enjoying game, it's perfect translation, but after it (could you rate it then) answers should be simply yes or no :)
Great game, definitely worth the download. I only have one critique, and that's about unlocking things in each stage. The criteria isn't very clear, as it appears to just expect you to know how many you did last time and then add the number they give you. If you guys are reading this, please just make how high your score has to be to unlock things clearer. Like, just show it to us. Other than that, great graphics, fluid controls. High recommendation.
The combo metre idea is a great addition to what is a fairly simple idea, it makes you think quite fast if you want to keep a combo going. Quite challenging despite only having two buttons. There are a few minor bugs like some Japanese text still appearing on the English setting (Mission rewards, gift opening), but so far it seems to be only text related.
The game is pretty fun and the addition of a competitive mode makes it far more interesting and fun in the long run, I still found many glitches, like for example whenever you have a quest, you can only get the reward for that, even if you also do a fame quest a the same time, the game gives you the aesthetic reward from the fame quest, but you still have to do it again to "clear it" and get the gold reward.
It started off as a "huh.. its i teresting looking looks like a fun time sink" ended up playing a solid 10 minutes cus of the mindless button mashing. And the absolute best part, the ad breaks aren't that bad, usually 5 seconds, so you can skip them amd get back to the game sooner. So far, of the 5 ads i got, two were intentional, and only one i skipped (30 second ads). 10/10 recommend this game if you just want to mindlessly button mash!
Fun if somewhat repetitive, it's an extremely simplistic game but in this case that's actually a strength. Its the perfect game to play when your bored and have a few minutes to kill which is exactly what I'm looking for in a game to play on my phone. It's not comparable to something you'd find on PC, Console, or even a dedicated handheld but phone games rarely reach that level of complexity and still manage to be good. As far as I'm concerned this simplicity is exactly what phone games need.
I've put a little more time into this game since my original review and have decided to revisit. I'm still enjoying one punch, the core gameplay loop is tight and very satisfying when you pull off a long string or combo. There's a large roster of characters, stages, effects, and targets to unlock and the design, art style, and animations are almost universally fun and pleasing to look at. Fame goals could be clearer imo, but a minor quibble. Original review: Fun little timewaster, if repetitive.
Simple fun. Some items dont populate after I select them; and it's reoccurring. So I won't risk spending money on the game until that bug is fixed. But for a free game it's very fun, and versus is nice touch. Sound design is excellent, cool pixel art, and the gameplay is easy to learn yet tries your reflexes.
Very fun game. Downloaded on a whim and it quickly turned into just the game I was looking for. Challenging mini games, great pick up and play, rewards/unlocks are steady throughout the collections. Minimal ads but I prefer to spend a few bucks on games I enjoy to support the team and just get rid of the ads; took advantage of the shop sale, money well spent. Fun game, look forward to more.
I love the app, gameplay is tight, responsive, and simple- but there are also enough game modes that you can play for a long time without getting bored. However, it does come across a bit disappointing that all of the stage challenges are only in "One Punch" mode, not giving much incentive to try the other game modes, and I also came across a bug when acquiring Nero from my daily rewards that caused the energy rewards not to reset like they normally should.
Very fun game, in my opinion. It has a few fun and challenging game modes. Loads of collectibles to get. Although I have a few complaints, and that is the Champion mode. It only gives you 3 Champion coins. I think it should have more. Prob 5. And winning a match is not really good, since it doesn't reward you anything other than fame (or atleast the first 30 monutes I played into this game.) Overall though, fun game. I recommend it for anyone who wants a Challenge
