Crashes every time I try to search for an audiobook As an update to my initial above comment. After the response from the developer, I re-opened the app to try and capture the result in order to send to customer support. However, for a reason I cannot work out (had not even re-started phone), the app now opens fine and I have been able to browse and download an audiobook. Seems to work fine now.

Used to be a great app. As others have said, magazines no longer download, in my case on an android tablet. You can read them but not download. This was a great feature, it remembered where you were in the magazine, could be read when there was no signal, etc. Recent updates were terrible! Please advise if there is a way to work around these problems. Thanks

It works great. I use the back-30-seconds all the time, sometimes the chapter markers (when I fall asleep while listening). Also nice is the playback speed setting and, most importantly, the ease with which it interfaces with my library. Update: I'm dropping a star because of the frequent need to reload the book I am reading under some conditions I don't understand. Maybe if I change networks or overnight ? I have to force a re-sync to resume reading. My other audio book app doesn't do it.

For the most part this app works great. I have used it on 3 phones. However, on my new Galaxy 10Se, it does start back at the beginning of the chapter every time it restarts when I start my car. If fixed, would rate 5 stars. The bookmarks are helpful and I like that it plays offline instead of streaming. Great for travel. Update. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still going back to the beginning of the chapter when it restarts. The previous versions didn't do this.

Generally good, but can be a bit glitchy. It seems that "returning" a downloaded magazine does not remove the files, so the app becomes a memory hog. I have to "clear data" to remove old files which is a pain. Also, since the files are so large, it would be lovely to have the option of storing downloaded magazines on a memory card or external drive.

I like the option to read magazines in PDF or text format. But like others, I would prefer if the app retained my place in magazine articles when switching to another app or closing the tablet for a while. In addition, I'm now having the issue of not being able to see the text of the various buttons. This is relatively new and hopefully will be fixed soon, as the app is very hard to use in this state.

I like the content but there are a few things I would change for ease of use. Such as, allowing my phone's current brightness setting to stay when I open an ebook to read. Instead of only having one setting and I have to go to the app settings to adjust to what I need it. Also, allowing to search without choosing format first would make it easier to see the wide variety of your content.

Out of the blue, the app shows up "blank" on my tablet, phone, or ipad. When I opne the app, the download and read options disappear completely. I have to then uninstall and reinstall the app and re-download all my magazines. This happens to me at least twice a week. Also, I use to be able to take screen shots of certain articles and I am no longer to do that as well.

So far works perfectly for audio books. The app has a 30-second rewind in case you missed something. 30 seconds feels like a long time, but it does help catch back up to regain your entire train of thought. the app can play audio books at up to 2x speed. My downside is that I'm on hold for a book but I don't know when that book is due back from the other user.

The apps purpose is great and when you have a book that works it's perfect but I find 1 out of every 10 ebook hasn't been entered into their system properly. For example: 1.) Chapters will cut off abruptly and you'll have to change the font size to see the end. 2.) The above problem but to the extent that no text is viewable. 3.) You can't even open the book. On top of this the only way to notify them is to write an email - why not an easier in app method?

Love this app. Working well on my device with the latest update. The default font for text view has changed though. It doesn't seem to be as heavy a weight as before making it not as good for reading long articles. Update: Removing a star because the text on buttons keeps disappearing. Makes it hard to navigate and not ideal to have to keep uninstalling/reinstalling to fix.

I'm really grateful for this app but the experience is clouded by the fact that there's no automatic bookmark. I'm reading some really thick books right now and every time I close the app, my page gets lost and I struggle to find it again because the chapters aren't numbered and have repetitive names. The first few books I read worked fine- I'd be able to open the app again after closing it and the book would open up right where I left it but something has changed and I've been unable to fix it.

When it works it's pretty good, but "Pending", when it comes to downloads, is my least favourite word, and not at all helpful when you're keen to read a magazine! UPDATE - now settings won't let me turn off wi-fi only download restriction. I have plenty of mobile data but can't use it. I can't even get as far as seeing that it's constantly pending. This is a total waste of time and complete chocolate teapot territory.

I've not found a less pleasant app to read ebooks, and I've used many. The smallest font is huge, as in my toddler's story books have more text per page than one screen on my mobile, and I can't even see the text of my borrowed library book anymore, though I've tried changing the settings. The app hangs a lot trying to process anything you do in it. There are very minimal settings options available, though that doesn't matter when you can't even see the text in your book. Highly perplexing.

Edit - I have removed 2 of my stars because now there are MANY, MANY books missing. NOT a fan of the latest update. Woke up this morning to read my book and my bookmarks aren't working right and I have to have it in scroll mode to be able to see everything on the page. I like being able to see him many pages in the chapter I am on and swiping to turn the page. Please fix it or put it back. There was ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the way it was yesterday.

Fantastic! This app lets me enjoy books when my typical library app has them listed as "checked out". You can loan a single eBook to multiple lenders, people! Anyways. The only complaint I have is that I sometimes can and sometimes can't pause/play from the drop-down preview of the app. I have to open the full app back up to pause or play or rewind. That can get annoying fast.

My local library service has forced us to move from one useless app to yet another one. This is a great app to explore the catalogue, but useless if I can't download my book or I get told it isn't available, despite it being booked out to me. When I do eventually manage to view a book, the functionality is very limited. I want to view one whole page in landscape. Not two pages. I'd also like to use my volume buttons to move through the pages. Not impressed.

The app quits often. If I have a book playing and I use something that interrupts the sound or if I pause it and look and another app, the RB app forgets what I was listening to and I have to find my book and start it up again. I could just check a message and it quits. I had 5 stars but since this started happening, I took away a star. I am listening to books 5-7 days a week, 6-12 hours a day. So I end up reloading my book many times a day, just because I paused it. It doesn't do it every time.

Trying to return old issues is a nightmare! If you have a lot of magazines and return one by tapping the X in the upper right corner, the program returns you to the first page of your list, regardless of what page that magazine issue was on. You can use the slower method of selecting the magazine, selecting delete, and clicking yes, and then clicking Back after deleting, but that is very slow.

2nd UPDATE: when listening to articles using text to speech, it stops after each article and forces you to close that article, move to next one, and then choose text to speech again. Is there a way to automatically go to the next article? Great app. I would have given give stars if there was a feature to read the text. Update: July 10, 2020: I'm changing my rating to five stars, because the version I just installed on my tablet has text to speech as part of the app features. Great job!

I like this app. It is easy to use. I only have a few issues with it. One, I feel like there is a limited amount of newer books. Second, the app is so sensitive. I am constantly brushing my finger across the screen of my tablet and the book I am reading will jump to a completely different chapter. Also, it does not always save my place. If I exit out in the middle of a chapter and come back later, the book will open to somewhere totally random in the book. Other that, the app is great.

Horrible functionality. Crashes multiple times each session. sometimes I have to open the app 6-7 times to use it. it also randomly times out when I am trying to hold or check out a book, regardless of my internet connection speed, which prevents me from checking out books. The app is great in theory and the interface is pretty good, but it is almost unusable with such glitches.
