This used to be my go-to player for hi-res files, but upon upgrading to Android 12 I have constant problems with my Samsung USB-C DAC dongle. When I plug it in the app confirms it's using it, but when I turn up the volume it will start glitching and going up and down rapidly. The app is constantly crashing too. Please fix so I can go back to using this app that used to be a daily driver!!!
It's a great app and I hope to upgrade soon to get more out of the headphones and dac I use. However, it does make it challenging that I cannot control the music from the lock screen and some crashes when the widget does not update what song is playing. Good app, just needs some changes to make it more user friendly and possibly updates to work better.
This app has become so incredibly disappointing. This was once my go-to music player. So much so that I purchased the unlocked version even though there are other apps that provide the same functionality for free. It has literally become unusable at this point. When it's not constantly crashing, it will fail to read my DAC (all of them), read my music files but not play them, etc. The worst part is that these issues have been going on for months and are actually getting worse with each update.
Several provlems with the latest update for 2.9.0. The equalizer no longer works. None of the presets or custom EQ settings work. There is no change in sound when EQ is activated. App attempts to synch library on exit when no change made to library. The update lost my library of music. Had to re-sync each individual folder. The update lost custom EQ settings. Didn't matter since EQ no longer works. This used to be a good app with good updates. What happened?
Finally a player that plays directly from my usb stick so I don't have to copy my entire music library to my phone. Also looks like a pretty decent player and has a good sound quality. I recommend it 100%!!!!
After searching for a very long time, i finally found this and it's freaking dope. Not too many ads and simple to use.
Very slow loading folders. That said, it does provide noticably better sound.
Ever since the latest update it takes 5+ minutes to load the list of songs in a playlist or folder. It used to take about 2s for this to happen. Uninstalling and re-installing does not help. Onkyo: fix this!
Please I don't know what happened but my Onkyo HF player cannot pick all my songs anymore. I uninstalled the app and installed again but I found out I have lost about 90% of my songs. Please I need your help. When I check "My Files" all the songs are there but the player has refused to pick them.
App constantly crashing and missing song artwork and time in playlists. Using on a z fold 3 and when in full screen if you rotate the display app crashes every time. This was not the case before the last update
Can not get the output above 48khz when I know my phone is capable of 192. Going back to Foobar.
Ive had thus app for afew months and paid for the upgrade. Have had nothing but problems with it. My DAC that i plug in is not supoorted but SOMETIMES seems to work. Out the blue it pops up a message saying connecting to the USB device and wont let me access anything else. Then it stops playing all together. Adjusted various settings but doesnt get better. I also use the app with just wireless head sets but still have issues.
THE BEST you cannot get anything better than this app. Pure sound it's just amazing. Keep it up 😉
UI is a bit dated, but great functionality.
App constantly crashes after i unlock phone. So the option to listening music in backround is gone. Navigating in folders is a joke. I wish i did not installed last two updates.
Delivers by far the best audio quality I found so far, beating quite some other players at it. Too bad it has such a poor UI. I have one problem though. Every once in a while the player loses its connection to the dac (chord mojo), I'm not sure if this is caused by the cable or the phone interfering, or if it is the app itself. I did not experience this with other players though. If the UI was more in line with other players, I would definitely give this a five star rating.
Very pleasant sound quality. It's all just sounds so neat. Very enjoyable indeed. Been trying several apps but this is the best one so far in terms of sounds quality. Thank you for making this app. The UI might need some improvement though, and there is no offer to disable the ads. I mean, if there is a version without the ads I would definitely purchase it.
Love this app. The sound quality, especially from lossless file types such as WAV files is fantastic. And the scope for adjusting the EQ is nothing short of infinite, due to the super fine adjustment capability. I also like the fact that the app gives a visual representation of when the output signal is overloading, allowing you to make fine adjustments to reign it in to prevent sound being distorted. All in all, a very useful app that plays many file types with great quality.
I have been a complete audio snob my entire life, thanks to what my brother taught me about sound reproduction, and being an electrical engineer myself. That said, this app is the best music player you're going to find to taylor the sound of your music, anywhere! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the navigation within the app isn't quite as intuitive as I'd like it to be, but as far as sound reproduction, I challenge anyone to come up with something to surpass this.
Overall great, I just wish it had more in-between steps for the volume control bar. Depending on the headphones I use, it's either too loud or too low. Also, whenever I connect my DAC, the volume is set to maximum. If you forget that the app does that, have fun blasting your ears away... EDIT: Wow, volume controls have gotten even worse. Now 3/4 of the volume bar DOES NOT CHANGE volume at all on my setup (Moto Z2 Force and Dodocool DAC). I give this app 1 star until the volume issue is fixed
I have tried many music players over the years. This app, hands down, is the best sounding, most musical of them all. Some things like playlist creation/management is a little non-standard, and no Android Auto support; but would give 10 stars if I could for the nuanced, beautiful sound this app produces which makes the little niggles I might have quickly fade. Great job.
My experience is so amazing, I can't believe that a music player like this exist. From its appearance, settings and equalizer are the best that I found that works on any android phones. One thing that I really loved on this music player is its parametric equalizer. As for a person like me who is an audio tech, you will really love how accurate this app's Parametric EQ, and I use this for my events to play music when we need a fast response from the client. This music player is the best.❤️🤘👍
The playback sound of this player is truly amazing. I use this as a flac file player on my Samsung Note8 bluetooth to my Kenwood hi-res car stereo and it sounds truly amazing. But it has some annoying flaws. Firstly, there is NO stop button, only the pause button. Secondly, when you close this app, it has the annoying habit of keeping on playing although the app has closed. Thirdly, every time I start the car and the Bluetooth syncs it starts playing at max volume. Had to uninstall.
This may have already been mentioned. But just the thought that I no longer have to convert my mp4's to MP3 s is such a time and space saver. This app will play my mp4's as Audio Only which makes a whole lot of sense. That way I don't have to have a bunch of duplicates in two different formats. Not to mention it's actually a pretty solid and nice audio player. Easy to use and understand.
By far the best Android music player, has always consistently played every file I throw at it, even dsd. Easy to use and navigate UI. Has a free version that offers features that most people would use and a paid version that is very affordable for those that want a bit more or just to simply support the devs.
