The app itself isn't too bad (no frills) but when using DTS or Chromecast to an Onkyo TX-NR676E E7196E home theatre amp, audio continually drops out then stops and the app is no longer able to discover the Onkyo amp again! Very shoddy! A shame because Bluetooth connection to the amp works perfectly. Guess Onkyo should spend more time fixing these basic flaws and updating firmware...
It works, but as app/hardwarehas not updated to latest dts playfi version, is somewhat lacking. Also terrible that onkyo cheaped out and does not support critical listening mode. App suffers because once great onkyo...has abandoned the music.
Cant open app. Buttons stacked. When the app tries to run if tries to force user to check two boxes to accept policy and conditions. The second box triggers a decline message. Accepting is not possible on my Android phone.
The music station preset feature is very useful. Every AVR should have this feature on the front panel. App is the second best way to do it.
Won't connect to my new TX-RZ 830. Im also on Telus Optik 5G with their highest bandwidth for internet. I can use the Onkyo Controller App no problem but its a bit laggy.
This app COLLECTS ALL OFF YOUR INFORMATION. Just read the "privacy policy". Holy shiz. I've loved onkyo for almost 20 years which is why I bought my latest receiver...but they need to get a handle on the information stealing app developers they've contracted.
It worked well for a week. Now it won't connect to any music service. Like the app a lot when it worked.
Cannot get past the T&Cs as the word 'Decline' stops you pressing the agree button! !! This should have been fixed by now.
When I try to use tidal, after login the app jump back to start page and only thing available is add new zone again.
does not connect to cs575d with latest firmware = useless. Amazon music and others work no problem

actually I love very much onkyo product,that's why everytime i need some application I search first Onkyo if there is kind of apps that needed to smartphone

Regret buying Onkyo products because of this app. Will never buy again. One of worst apps available! Works 1 out of 10 times. Add zone 2 support - ridiculous it's not supported! Very rarely works with SiriusXM - "network connection problem", yet SiriusXM standalone app works perfectly. I would give zero stars if I could.
Can't stream a full song from Tidal without random disconnections (not stuttering) just disconnects and thinks it's still playing then tries to reconnect if you pause. And no it's not my home network or other wifi issue. Its an app issue. Sack the developers, DTS Play-Fi is effectively an unusable feature using this app. Thankfully there's chromecast
Works pretty well for me using Amazon Music, but very disappointed it cannot cast to zone 2. I have an Onkyo TX-RZ820 with latest firmware. Only way it works is if receiver is in whole house mode. Otherwise I have to use bluetooth to play to zone 2 speakers on the deck, and connection isn't as good as wifi casting. Wish i could add Google mini speaker too, but can't fault it for that. Had a time where this wasn't working and i had to hold power down on receiver to reboot instead of going to standby, that fixed it.
Dissapointed as I'm still waiting for Alexa support with my Onkyo 676. It was promised for q1 of 2018..
It seems to work quite well with Music, Media Server and TuneIn, but it doesn't allow me to log in on TuneIn, so I can't get to my Favorites list! What is with that? Every other service I tried went right to a log in, yet there is no way to log in to TuneIn? Please fix this.

I spent a lot of money on my Onkyo CR-N775D. Which is great if you use it as as a stand alone device. This app, however is not fit for purpose. Integration with third party streaming services was the man reason I purchased the unit. I may as well stayed with my 20 yo system. I get a better result from a 3rd party app, which alas is no longer updated, or even available on the app store.
