Overall it does what it is supposed to do. I would like a device button that changes between onkyo devices. I the current button does not work with gesture type devices.
Stopped working at one point. Hardware was not detected anymore. After some thought, I found out this happened after I installed a wireless router at home. My phone had a new IP address in a different network: It now had 192.168.0.x instead of 192.168.1.x. So I reconfigured my network so my phone had a 192.168.1.x IP address again, in the same range as my Onkyo amplifier. Bingo, the app detected my Onkyo amplifier again, as both devices are on the same network again.
App no longer works. Must not be compatable with latest Android version. Needs an update.
Worked for about 3 weeks. Now refuses to find Onkyo receiver (does however find the Yamaha receiver and Sonos on my network.)
Onkyo doesn't stand behind their products. The Onkyo Remote apps don't support new hardware. I regret buying Onkyo AV Gear.
Doesnt work useless app it's designed for older phones and no update available.
App is outdated for my Samsung phone software updates and doesn't appear to be updateable!

App used to work like a champ could float around in my pool and control zone 2 on my patio like a pimp. Now it's a embarrassing POS. Will never buy Onkyo again.

Easy to use
Forget the updated Onkyo app! This is the one you want if your receiver is between 8 and 12 years old. The new app absolutely would not stream music from my phone. This original app is more user-friendly and just works with my receiver. Thank you for making it available! Works perfectly on my phone with Android 10.
