a simple premise, a great time-passer. there's no need to be online to play this game, the mechanics are straightforward and require little to no tutorials at all. simple graphics mean the game focuses more on strategic positioning and luck with the enemy AI. the shop system is unnecessary, but it gives those who invest enough time (or money) something that feels substantial game-wise. the things you can buy in the shop aren't entirely game-breaking though, so that's a plus. a great game.
This game is awesome! I played this as a kid and had memories of it and decided to come back to it. Its very good and i like how the enemies get stronger and there are more of them as you progress. Its very difficult and for some that is great (such as myself). The bosses are a cracked out version of a regular enemy and that is great because you will already be familiar with the regular enemy. 10/10 You can also connect controller to play (xbox)
Fantastic game, I loved everything about it except for two things • Half of the abilities are locked behind a paywall • As it goes on it can become insanely difficult, not impossible, but just very difficult, also the boundaries can be a little inconsistent, so some sort of sign that you are near the edge would be great, I still absolutely recommend this to anyone
An excellent game! It slowly gets more difficult, and actually requires skill, unlike a lot of mobile games. It doesn't get boring, due to slowly becoming more powerful, gaining new abilities and progressing further on the 'campaign'. This is one of those games I keep coming back to again and again.
If you are deciding on if you should buy the no ads it's worth it. It unlocks all the abilities and gives some points to spend. I was able to beat the game and I can say that it is extremely fun to play despite how difficult it is. I loved the 10 bit graphics which gave me old arcade game type vibes.
Unbelievably great, nostalgic, balanced, and cool story Shouts out for the devs ✌ and those lines (when you level-up or die..) are pretty nice I only wish for better control (the joystick gets stuck sometimes and I lose because of it) Other than the joystick: this one of the best simple games I've seen in a while.. (though I'm a really picky gamer 😅)
The game is simple enough to understand. Control the wee dude with the sword, and kill or push off the men and monsters who aren't you. It gets progressively harder, has skills and passive abilities to unlock, and despite all this, isn't a grind. It's not often that I have a game on my phone for more than a month, but I'm being genuine when I say that I have been playing this game infrequently since 2016 or so, and still come back for more. I can only think of a handful of games I keep.
This is an awesome game! Simple, easy, and addicting! The music and sound efficts are just completely awesome as well! Another really awesome feature is when the god started shaking and his eyes were glowing! That put me right into the game and I felt I was actually trying to be THE ONE to impress the god. A nice addition though would be allowing players to customize their character and add more weopons! It would be nice to shoot arrows!
Its a fun game you should download to pass the time, it really gives you something to do while your waiting in line, on a car trip etc. It's not really something you could play all day, but If you've got a few minutes check it out. It has pretty good gameplay for a mobile game. It doesn't give you a lot of ads either. The stupidest thing about this game though is that when you die in a boss fight it respawns you 19 levels earlier, which is just plain stupid
Brilliant game. I mean, it's really good with some pretty unique ideas. Personally though, I think it could do with a tiny bit of teeny tiny bit of tweaking on the menu side of things. I have no idea how but I got lost in the weird sea of menus. Anyway it's brilliant game, and this coming from a person who's only got to the third boss!
An otherwise great game, if you enjoy action and skilled gameplay, its for you. The high prices for upgrades make the game a bit grind-y, and half of the later upgrades are limited by the ultimate power purchase, but i think it's an even trade for having no ads. Gotta make money somehow. Oh! It also gives you currency for writing a reveiw, so now you onow why this is here😁
Only One is by far the best game I have ever played on mobile, it's addictive, challenging (on the later levels), and extremely well made, so it's no wonder I've been playing it for years. I love pretty much everything about it, the gameplay, the bosses, pushing people off the pillar... It's an amazing game and I recommend it to pretty much anyone that likes retro looking stuff like this. Also, ads are actually fairly rare, something you rarely see in other games on mobile. Now if only there was a sequel to Only One... Now THAT would be awesome.
This is a great game, well it was originally when it came out on iOS. When the Android version came out I was excited but quickly realized it's a broken version with pay to win features, also the thumbstick controls are complete trash for directional control when attacking and defending. The dev has basically ditched this game and doesn't care for it besides the money that it brings them.
The game is good but I don't like how expensive these power ups are. And I can't get anymore ,what you call it ultimate.. power😑 and when I try to connect to the store when my wifi is strong it didn't work.the most annoying thing that happened to me is when the ground start shaking and my character fall off and die.So if you are reading this fix all these problems and add more levels
i absolutely love the pick up and play, very old school and accessible in the blink of an eye gameplay. feels like it (on a very streamlined, as was the way) embodies the best miniature action goals and excitement on a very resource efficient but "in the year 20XX"" Genesis age storytelling way and instantly refines the experience too what seek when we pick up a mobile, to quell idle time better spending it challenging and rewarding yourself, great game, thanks for it. Violent but not gorey
Charming on the surface, once you dive deep into the game you'll realize there isn't enough points to upgrade or customize anything. Most option are locked behind pay wall. Not to mention, that annoying ad play before starting a new game. But it does have a fun gameplay and occasional memes here and there, and that's what good about this game.
I love the game been playing it for years and still haven't gotten bored of it. I think the game is definitely worth a play and most sertianly worth a good rating. The only thing I do not enjoy is the inability to buy hero's with power and the sort of useless upgrades, like there is no point leveling up speed at level 95.
It would be better if everything wasn't behind a paywall. The game progressively gets harder and harder, until it literally becomes way too hard unless you buy ultimate power, a character or if you buy power. I understand that you want people to support you for the hard work put into this game, but you shouldn't have basic stuff like powerups and characters locked behind micro transactions. Overall, a good base game, but ruined because it's pay to win.
Eh, I mean it's good? The game is good and all, but there's annoying bosses mid-game. For example, Longshot, always runs and shoots 3 arrows at once. Could you just balance it a little bit? Like lower the range of the arrows, please.
This is the BEST GAME on android that I have ever played. This is NOT an easy game. This isn't a game that holds your hand. It takes skill, practice, patience and determination. It took me about 1 month of playing about half hour every day. But the reward of working so hard for every win feels SOOOOOOO good! Finally having beat the game I can say you DO NOT NEED TO PAY A CENT to win this game. I paid to unlock ads just because it's a great game, but that's it.
Great, Simple and Addicting Game. My only complaint is I made some purchases awhile back and I have just reinstalled Only One recently, the only purchase that was restored was a character purchase and not the "Ad Free" purchase as well as the experience purchase I made. Definitely a little disappointing considering I supported the Developer by doing so. I hope this can be fixed as soon as possible. Thanks for the hours of entertainment!
My only concern are upgrades. It feels like some of them are way too weak, for example the speed up. It doesn't help me escape enemies, particularly when I'm attacking somebody, and the yellow knights are behind me. I have them! They are everywhere, and are very fast at attacking you. I feel like they are a bit overpowered at that.
Very nice and simple game, with a balanced difficulty. The music is good enough, and the graphics are good as well. One thing I would like, is to have a sort of "free-for-all" mode, where everyone just fight each other and you're not the "only one" (lol) against everyone teaming up.
