OnTheSnow Ski & Snow Report

I can't even use the app because the data privacy pop-up doesn't have a "close" or "accept" button. Just a pop-up where I can choose to enable or disable stats collecting and personalized ads, and no way to save the settings or move past the pop-up.

Worked fine for a week or 2 then it stopped giving forecast for any of the resorts. Is it a bug or a bigger problem. Was a lot easier to use than signing up to a ton of emailed snow reports

"Something went wrong" message coming up nonstop. App is currently rendered useless but was pretty helpful prior to this. I updated, restarted the app and still the same message appears.

It's bad. Didn't realize it was possible to ruin a simple app that was popular with the targeted audience. Bring the old app back!!! I used this app for years and it was perfect...not overly designed. New format has way too much bloat, too many ads, difficult to navigate, buggy...appears as if it was taken over by someone who is clueless about software design. Too bad...

I can only imagine they designed a new UI to try and generate more ad revenue or something, but as many have said, the new UI is complete junk. If they don't fix it soon. I'll surely Uninstall. Too bad as the last design worked fine for what it was. Edit: this new version is much like the older one but smoother. Good job listening to feedback OTS

I used the app all of last season. It had all of your mountains saved in one place and all the information was easily accessible and readable. Unfortunately major changes were made and the app is now buggy & unusable. Ads all over, slow to load info, incorrect info, terrible color scheme, and trying to force me to make an account. I'll make an account when your app isn't terrible.

The older version of the app was great. Easy to use platform that delivered the resort info well. The new version is loaded with ads, takes a long time to load, doesn't deliver basic snow report info in an easy to find format and is pretty glitchy. Sad for the update that ruined it. Might as well just Google the info you're looking for.

I don't normally review apps. But as a long time user of this app, i must comment on my disappointment with the latest update. The app used to be very straight forward and simple, with quick and easy information at the tip of your fingers. But after this new update, the app has become bloated and cluttered with advertisements and non essential information. The user interface is the biggest set back, although you are provided more information it is no longer intuitive or quick and easy.

New layout is absolutely horrible. Just to find how many trails are open takes more time than it should. Navigation is not well thought out at all. Honestly feels as if someone tried to ruin the app intentionally. Not one thing is an improvement. After about 5 minutes trying to navigate the app, I realized it's faster to just look up the resort conditions via their webpage. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of the app.

Please roll it back the new version and bring back the old simple release. Not sure what you have done with this app but it USED to be great but alas... no longer. I don't know where to start, navigation is terrible, the ads are extremely intrusive and the UX suffers all around. I don't know if there there is an option to buy and remove ads or at least not an apparent on?

HORRIBLE! Difficult to navigate, I realize the need to learn the new layout, but this is ridiculous. I really don't want to have to sign in with another account. And if I can't change the information to American standard units, as in "inches, feet, degrees fahrenheit, and so on, this app is absolutely useless to me. And where is all of my previously saved information from before the update?

Since the full update the app doesn't save any of your information (including login, favorites mountains, etc). The data is also inaccurate. It shows resorts closed that have been open for weeks, no recent snow accumulation when the lastest storm dropped 46 inches according to the resort website. It used to be helpful, but so bad now I uninstalled.

Unfortunately the last update took this app back a few steps. The layout is dreadful, it takes more clicks to find what you want. Sometimes the webcam pages work (if you're lucky). I'd recommend anyone looking for snow and resort info to just download the official resort apps. Until this improves...I'm afraid I'm deleting it for the first time in years. Good intentions implemented poorly.

I preferred the older app. This new one has less functionality compared to the old one. Feels like a step back and that it's just a wrapper for the website. The old one allowed you to download trail maps, sort by opening date, etc. If the functionality of the old app is added back in that would be great. It was the best skiing app. Update: Yeah I can't do this app anymore, since the major update it's been slow, it feels cheap, it doesn't keep me logged in. Uninstalled, bring back the old app.

Oh dear what a disappointment. I have used this app for years and told so many people how fantastic it was. The new update has transformed an easy to use fast informative and reliable app into a slow complicated tool that usually means I've shut it down before I get to what I want to know. I have tried to persevere with it but sorry I'm going to uninstall and find something less time consuming

Won't even open. Keeps saying something went wrong. It worked for about a week. I cleared cache and restarted app, still nothing. Disappointing.

Update ruined the app. Uninstalled. Which genius decided to make an update where the UI is much worse and takes more clicks to get info. You can now access via guest or use a social media account to log-in. It's an extra step. Also, your favorites from the previous version are lost. Ads now in the app. I wouldn't mind it if the UI wasn't an absolute disaster. Overall very disappointing as the app was my go to every season and now I have to find a new app. This one died. Great job devs...

Worst snow app ever! It literally snowed 4inches today with another foot expected tonight. On the Snow is still showing no snow in the forecast or in the last 24 hours, lmao! OpenSnow is the way to go. It costs money, but it's highly reliable.

Used to be good...not anymore I used to love this app and use it all the time. It was the best and easy to use. Update is slow, glitchy, filled with ads everywhere, incredibly difficult to navigate around. Whatever change in development they did, they really Fu#xed it all up! Update also wants you to create ANOTHER account, entering email or linking your Facebook or Google account info to it just to store favorite slopes in app. Sorry, not giving email or personal info just so you can sell it

I do not like the updated version of this app. It is NOT user friendly. Some of the functionality is lost i.e dont see dates of resort opening & closing. Also tried adding some reports and it states 'undefined'. Lastly, do not like the dark background color, looks very dark & sad, depressing. Please go back to previous version!

The information this app provides for snowfall, resort status, weather is good. 5 stars for that. Unfortunately this app is an explosion of advertisements. -3. If you want to get a powder notification, you will also receive all of the advertising notifications. You cannot taylor this. The app comes with an inbox which is used 100% for sending you advertisements. You cannot disable it. The app is also rife with ads within the app itself. So ... yea, have fun with all the ads.

I've used the old version of the app for many years, but just uninstalled because they completely gutted the app and replaced it with a clunky, difficult to navigate 'update' that is painfully slow to load content. The most bizarre part is that the 'updated' app's esthetic/UI feels like they're iframing a GeoCities site from the 90s.

Loved the old version. This new version is barely useable. I can't save any resorts, after login still says I'm not logged in, not sure if there is an ad free version, but that would be nice. I do like the amount of information available, but the interface is sloppy.

"Something went wrong" is all i get when trying to view saved resorts, or add new ones. Deleted and retried, no use. Useless app

This app is always showing incorrect weather and snow reports. We have been on the mountain witnessing 10" of snowfall and this app shows nothing.

I'm having same problems as Janelle. Cant get past the data permissions screen. 1/7 update: Seems to be working now

The interface is bad, the login options are restrictive, and the alerts don't work after updating to v7.0. Every screen reloads slowly regardless of network speed. It appears to be a web wrapper or some cross-platform codebase. There are multiple ads throughout the app. Login requires a social network account. You should allow email login if you require an account. I set a powder alert days ago, one of my favorited resorts got more than the alert amount, and I didn't receive an alert.
