Pretty accurate at telling when a car is moving and starting the recording; way too sensitive though. Not sure how you're supposed to brake as softly as they want without getting rear ended or completely obstructing the flow of traffic behind you. Also mistakes turning onto a different road for hard braking sometimes. Since the distracted driving alerts don't count against your score I can't complain too much there, but I think it's odd that hands-free phone calls trigger an alert.
2/3rds of the time App doesn't acknowledge that I even drove. The sudden acceleration is also WAY over sensitive as even in a big slow truck keeping under 2500 rpm, App says I accelerated to fast. App also says that if you have hands free (I.e a headset) it won't mark you as distracted driving, however every time I have a call come in through my headset, it will mark the entire duration of the call as distracted driving even though I've not looked at or touched my phone.
Grossly inaccurate. Same problems as everyone else. Not recording trips at all, too insensitive to braking and acceleration, never receive any warnings when an event happens. I was testing my brakes as I was going to the shop for repairs so I could tell them what the brakes were doing. Slammed them on 3 times at 55mph. Not one violation recorded. They claim it can not hurt your rate but all these incorrect violations make it impossible to get the max discount
STAYS crashing. Had app 30 days & able to use maybe 6. Grange say it wont up price if ur score is not a great score, but app is always down so cant mark if u were driving or not or see how to improve so that ur cost could possibly get lowered. Always mark distractions. I use alexa, voice activated, but gets marked as distraction. I feel scammed. How they scoring & i cant check how im being graded so i CAN lower my cost. OOOR is app always down so i cant get cost lowered to pay less, so unfair!
Not very accurate! It calculates sudden braking when you slow down, at a stop at stop signs, and traffic lights😒 🙄. Acceleration/ speeding when on the highway.
Not a bad app, but way too sensitive with acceleration and braking. 2k rpm IS NOT a hard acceleration...
Very difficult to use and now has completely crashed and wont open. Very poor app and its costing me more money on my insurance than it could save me.
The last time I re-installed, I lost all of my trip data.
Really sucks! WAAAAAY to sensitive.
2-5 mph is not a "sudden acceleration." this app seems like its alerting at nothing so we end up getting no discount. Edit: the app has stopped working altogether after only having it for a week
Stupid
It's horrible. If my phone is in my purse and I'm driving then it dings stuff like distracted driving. A family of 4 in 1 car and everyone gets different scores! And if someone pulls out in front of you then you need to do a sudden stop. It's a horrible app. Can't wait to not have to use this anymore. Not to mention if you use navigation it dings for every minute you use it. I think navigation is better to use than concentrating on roads or signs than traffic!
