Amazing app, have nothing negative to say. Have you ever thought of adding a feature where you can create and save chord progressions, I'm aware of the ability to save chords I'm more so thinking progressions as a whole. I often use Oolimo to create different chords/inversions and I would love to be able to create unique progressions on the go.
This app should be a tool for any musician. I'm studying chord theory and am a new music writer. This app is worth every penny. The only two additions I hope for in the future for this app is a more direct way of seeing the inversions of each type of chord and a feature where you're able to punch in a chord progression...for the writer side of things . Besides that this app seriously delivers invaluable immediate information on chords, its all there. There's a site you can try this out for free.
As a guitar player of 30+ years there's always something new to learn and improve. This is the app that helps me to understand chord progressions and theory even better and on another level. I've tried most of the apps with guitar chords here on the Play Store but this is the one that's the most complete. Be patient when learning how to use this app and use Help section, it will pay off. Big thanks to developer and creator of Oolimo Guitar Chords.
Great app. Bug free and the chords actually make sense unlike some apps that will, for example, give you 57 different versions of C Major, most unplayable. This one gives you the usable patterns.
Good app, lightweight and very useful. Would be great if you could add a 5th section like on your website (which should advertise the app FYI!) For the basics and theory so that people like me with a swiss cheese knowledge of music can brush up when chord structures (especially extensions) gets confusing. Good job overall though!
Love this app. One of the few I've paid for and well worth many times what it cost. I use it every day. I had some issues and the response from the creator was immediate. (The issue was with my phone - not the app) I originally wrote a negative review after it stopped working because I was heartbroken I could no longer use it! All is well, now.
I've used the website for years, finally got the app and it's perfect. Super intuitive and very visually pleasing. It's awesome to just be able to tap out the notes into the chord analyzer on my phone now instead of messing with the mouse.
This is absolutely the best chord reference tool. The ability to plug in notes on the fretboard and know what the chord name is is worth the price of the app alone and there's so much more. Kudos to the dev for making such a genuinely useful app!
Great app. As a beginner it's nice to be able to look up chords quickly. My only wish is it had a feature in the analyzer / finder to capo easier than each string individually. This would make transposing chords easier.
Fresh layout and features not found in similar apps. Contains quizzes and exercises that help the beginner and intermediate guitarist. App also explains theory of chords and how they are most likely used. Great App!
Super useful app for learning and exploring the fretboard. I'm using it to learn intervals, playing in the Chord Analyzer is too much fun!
Lots to like and good potential, but some poor decisions with the UI (clicking on the menu loses you your current screen), and omissions (inversions on the chord finder screen).
I've used the browser version for a while and just had to get the app to support the developer, it's so incredibly useful. No single app has been better for developing my music theory knowledge.
The Oolimo website has been super useful to me for quite a while. I didn't know about the app till now. I purchased it right away. I have no doubt this will be great, that's why I already gave it 5 stars. Cheers! (request : Full scales? And prevent screen sleep?) Thanks a ton.
This app is great, I've been using the website version for years and it's really helped me! The app also comes with music theory quizzes which are great for testing your knowledge!
Incredible app for chord finding and analysis. It even contains written out descriptions of the chords with recommendations on common use! Has Light and Dark mode and a fantastic UI.
This is really a must-have app for guitar players. It's so incredibly useful for practicing and for songwriting. I find myself using it constantly.
I am extremely happy to have found out that there's an app version of this website I've been using for free for months now. Bought it right away and have been blown away by the quality of the app as well! Thank you Oliver, please keep updating the app and the website 🤘
Their website is one of my favorite guitar resources on the internet. I reference it a lot. Now i have it on my phone. Oolimo has earned my my trust and support.
Was looking for something exactly like this for a while! Perfect for finding and figuring out new chords along the neck
A potentially good app spoiled by a poor user interface. What's worse, there are quiz questions that are incomprehensible because little effort was put into what seems to be a translation. This is not rocket science.
Great app, great and easy user interface with a multitude of functions. A must have for every serious guitarist
One star off for the awful "abbreviated" vs "in detail" option, which has it showing you the wrong names for several nuanced chords by default. Who asked for this? Also, missing normal diminished chords. Otherwise perfect in every way
Invaluable app for guitarists. Very straightforward and the interface is really clean.
Best app out there. Worth it. Updating. So many awesome features and updates added it has been one of the most useful apps ive ever owned.
I couldn't be happier with the app. I can never really write songs using just music theory and whatnot so I end up using my ear and not knowing what key i'm in or what mode i'm using or what the chords are a lot of the time, because they're chord variations or weird extensions. This app allows me to know exactly what chords i'm playing and allows me to move the root around to give me options when creating progressions. The only problem is they don't have a scales app as well.
