Open Fit: Open Source Gear Fit

When Samsung abandoned support for Gear Fit watches, I was disappointed. When I found this application I was elated. I am currently searching for a new phone. Given Samsung's abandonment of the hardware I paid good money for, I doubt I'll be buying from them. The 2 features not here vs the Gear Fit Manager are the ability to reorder the application icons and the ability to use a picture as wallpaper. Otherwise, I expect to happily use this app on my next phone. THANKS OPEN FIT!!!

absolutely hate this app. I had gear fit manager which allowed way more customizing option. My step counter stopped working so I reset it....and now all that is available is open fit. utter garbage. can't customize, can't read messages or emails...and also the step counter worked again for a few minutes then stopped.

Worked great for an extended period on a phone that didnt support the original Samsung manager. After the 2.0 update it suddenly drains more battery than anything else on the phone, even while in the background and not connected to the device.

At first I couldnt link my gear fit to my phone but later on it did only that there are some points that don't work like 1. Unable to control the play and pause the music 2. No notification of missed calls and unread messages 3. Unable to dismiss alarm through the gear fit . I suppose the old one i.e. gear fit manager is far better than this new app...im very much disappointed why is there a need to replace something that is working seamlessly with something worse?

It keeps disconnecting and if I put it on charge then forget to put it on again I have to re install the whole pp again and I'm not very technically minded so I get frustrated. It's happened again so I'm going through the whole process of reinstalling the app. Wish me luck.

It worked for me on my pixel 3. Would like to see a revamp on the app though, a little more user friendly or understandable in the help section. And some more premium feattures if possible. Otherwise good app and it gets the job done.

if there were an option for 0 stars I would choose 0. it connects for an hr or so and then it disconnects and doesnt connect until I open the app n click connect. the last app had so many features that this one doesn't have. like style, u cant change the background of the watch at all now

Absolutely waste of time paid for premium thinking it could be that waste of money. Connects for an hour then I have to re install the app to get it to work again ussless waste of time and money. Wouldn't mind but my phones brand new and so is the fit..

For those who updated to Android 9, if you go to the Samsung Galaxy App Store, they still have the original Gear Fit Manager, which I went back to, but this is a decent way to bridge the gap. Only real problem I have with this app is that it does not communicate with Samsung Health to tally foot steps.

Old version was better. Can Not even open the app. Reinstalled twice, but still crashes. I have upgraded my watch three times. I think I may have to switch to a different platform.

This isn't a very good app, when I select the apps that I want notifications for, and get out of the app it doesn't show notifications for the apps that I select and it says "no apps selected" and it even shows the apps, besides that it has a lot of bugs, not a very good app but the only one I can use since I don't have a samsung phone and need to connect my phone to my watch

What the heck is this?! It worked for what? A day? Now all this damn app does is drain my battery like crazy and my watch keeps showing the same notification over and over again?? Is there any way to fix this?? Repair your damn app Samsung :/

works well, I use this one instead of the official app because with this app I can disable the permanent notification. one downside is that the weather on the clock doesn't seem to work after it has been disconnected for a while. otherwise I would rate 5

What happened??? Used to work really well, and loved all the features. Now it keeps disconnecting from device!!! Is there a way to roll back to a previous version?

This is awful 😞 😢 Samsung really messed up this time change back to the old app so I can us my gear fit, what 😳 in the heck was y'all thinking change it back ,my kids gave me this gear fit for Christmas now it does not work, I love everything about it and now it doesn't work..I have high blood pressure I am a diabetic and it was helping me with my daily steps calorie count,even the simplest things so far as finding my phone when i lay it down in the house somewhere and forgot where its at.

When I first downloaded this app it would not work with my Samsung A11 watch. Thank you for the update, I can now use my watch again. The applies to be working reasonably well. Parts of the display are in Korean, Chinese or Japanese but I can live with that :-)

with latest android 9 on Nokia 6.1 plus, whenever there is incoming call, app got disconnected from gearfit. looking for your support on this. otherwise app works perfectly fine below android version.

Since the last update my watch disconnects within an hour. Very disappointing As I've used this app for around 3 years and never had an issue. 😭😭😭😭

Does not work with my 9 note. It was fine 2 weeks ago and then the update changed everything. Now my watch just keeps saying, rebooting and never does.

It will not allow me to connect. Making the samsung fitbit that connects via this app an overpriced useless purchase. Very clumsy and problematic.

Works really well, the best third party GearFit app in Play Store, but i had to download another app in order to change the wallpaper, adding that in would be nice.

This app really helped me in my day to day life but there is two things missing : the option to change languages and wallpapers from your gallery but otherwise it's amazing

Really good app. Helped me connect to my galaxy fit (1st gen). I had given up hope on that watch and was thinking that i can't use it any more. But this app helped me connect it with non samsung phone. A big thanks to the developers

What have you done?? Ever since the last update this has been completely useless. My gear fit will not stay connected. It's now hardly more than a watch. Please fix it!

good. very few issues. only one so far after 3 months is that the screen spazzes out when water touches it.

App is now not syncing heart rate and sleep data. This may be a Google fit issue since it's been working fine untill now.
