Works perfectly with Baikal Server (both carddav and caldav). I just had to add two accounts because the url is different in my server for caldav and carddav. Before I used CalDav Sync and Carddav Sync which were unsupported without notice for paid users. OpenSync is a great improvement and is free of charge. I cannot understand why Google does not support dav protocols out of the box (like Apple). I think that they want to stuck people with their gmail apps and pump all the private datas.
It never asks for permission to access contacts and calendar. So if you don't change the settings manually nothing happens. Frustrating. But it's free and works so whatever.
Good app, but when I have a new shared calendar, the app does not see the calendar, even when I refresh the open sync app, the calendar won't show up. But when I remove my account and login to my same account, the new calendar is there. So this is a feature that needs attention.
Yes, it does sync. The bad, the sync at least on my phone fails about 9/10 times for the calendar. Contacts seem to sync, despite set to 15 minutes. Then the sync needs to be run manually :(
Worked always great, but since Android 11 update, the carddav accounts and entries are not visible in the stock contacts app. Calendar is still fine. Had to install another carddav sync app. PLEASE FIX!
Installed in a Xiaomi 11T, and tried to sync with a Communigate CalDAV server. It authenticates successfully and recognizes Tasks, and Calendar. But they never appear on Google Calendar app, or Business Calendar widget.
5/31/20 I used to use carddav-sync directly but, as of 2020, it's not working on my fone anymore. My contacts remain empty. I tried Open Sync and now I see my iCloud contacts in my phone's Contacts. I can't find anything in the settings though that will allow me to do just one-way syncing
Sometimes looses configuration and has to be set up again. Also doesn't trim url/user/pass when these parameters are pasted at configuration which can lead to a lot of unnecessary debugging on server side.
Opensync does not work with Synology Calendar while the very same setting works with the old and free davdroid (not davx5). Please fix the regression.
I have used this app for years. It allows you to view and use your cardav accounts. Fantastic and no annoying ads or messages.
Not working with xiaomi MIUI's calendar... I can connect to my account inside Open sync but the calendar app can't find the open sync account.
Works well on my S10, except demands OpenTask permissions. I'd gladly grant them, alas such permission does not exist on my system. And I do have OpenTasks installed.
Cannot make my caldav show up on my S10 calendar through this app. Tried looking up a solution, haven't found any. App is not working for me.
Does not work. Android does not see opensync accounts...
Worked instantly and synced with the phone's built-in Calendar app.
The only one which worked instantly with fastmail out of 4 tested inlcuding their recommended paid option.
UNMAINTAINED AND OUTDATED RIPOFF OF DAVDROID which is now DAVx5. Hey dev, ripping off an open source project and giving it a different name does not make it a fork. COMPLETELY DISHONEST. You're even too lazy to keep your copy updated with the real app. SAD.
Did not want any caldav details, just email and password. So I wrote this and uninstalled
The app is great, free, open-source and does the job perfectly. Thank you so much !
Works perfectly. Thanks for providing this app for free!
Very easy to set up with my home caldav/carddav. Didn't swear once.
Cannot add Open Sync account to the calendar app
I'm sorry but after successful syncing I can't view my GMX calendars.
Couldn't even log in so failed from beginning. Pw was correct
it works for me to sync Yahoo calendar with my android phone. perpect solution for me.
works a like a charm with nextcloud, thank you !
Setup with a nextcloud instance and works great
It works, just works... I love that
Does not work. Same account works ok on DAVx5.
This app is almost perfect. It works seamlessly with Nextcloud, and I can sync contacts, calendar entries and can also sync tasks with the help of Open Task (separate app). So why do I give it only three stars? It saps your battery dry in a few hours if left unchecked, even with the conservative-looking default 240 minute sync settings. My Moto G4 normally lasts almost 36 hours on a charge, with this app that goes down to 4 hours max. Fix the power drain, and this app deserves 5 stars. As it is, I sadly find it unusable.
