OpenClimb RockClimb Bouldering

I really like this for my home wall setup. Here are some small suggestions: 1) It would be nice if you could do multiple problems on one image, so you can just swipe right to see the next problem on the same wall, kind of like how the Stokt app works. 2) One annoying issue is that while looking at a problem I can't zoom all the way out to see the whole thing at once. 3) Adding a symbol for dynos would be a nice addition.

I normally don't write reviews, but here I am. I love the idea and the app is easy to use. However, there isn't a way to delete climbs (there is a button but it doesn't work) so things can get cluttered fast. Also it would be nice to add other makings and/or change the color of the marking for holds. The circle covers most things but it would be nice to have an arrow, or maybe different color options for the circles. Overall, I would recommend if you have a home-wall.

Basic functionality is OK: you can take a picture of a spray wall, label the holds and create a problem. Training-wise a lot is missing: it's impossible to log climbs (your own or other people's). It's also impossible to grade or give feedback on other people's boulders. Under the hood there are improvements to be made (the app crashes when I try to take a picture inside the app, boulders seem to be loaded from the server every time they are viewed which is slow).

Great idea, could use some tweaks, such as fixing the ability to delete, which doesn't seem to work. It would be great of you could up load one picture and then reuse it for multiple routes instead of having to upload or take a new photo each time. Also would be nice if you could do a offline version where you could upload your home board but not have to have it accessible to the whole world, avoid clutter on the server too.

So, if you consider this app on it's merits - free, no adds, no in-app, purchases - I think it's a 5 star. Yes, some things could be enhanced and I sincerely hope the developers continue to improve it. But if you have a home gym, like me, that doesn't take in any money, you probably don't want to be paying for Stokd or other apps. This is a solid alternative. I agree with the other reviewers' suggestions, so wont' repeat them here. One tip: If your problem requires a landscape picture to get it all in, change it to portrait before you load it up to OC. Otherwise, you won't be able to see the whole problem at one time. Thank you OC developers for your contribution to the climbing community!

good idea but poor execution. you cant delete problems on old hold sets making the entire thing cluttered and chaotic. as soon as there is a reset there shoild be a way to clear the old problems but there isnt

Insecure. Does not protect account details (username & password not encrypted). Emailed the development team about this and have had no response. There are other security related issues. Pretty poor security all round. Would not use this app

Cool idea. Map is very laggy for me. I think you need to have less items visible simultaneously (use clustering).

very nice! would like to be able to differentiate between starter holds, feet only, and hands/feet.

It works but if your wall has no reception, it does not. Please could you add an offline mode to allow saving of user selected walls?

Great potential. Think it would be good if you could favourite problems you wanted to try and had an option to tick them off as you did them. Me and a few friends at my local wall started using this recently and we've already added nearly 20 climbs so it could get a bit confusing trying to work out which ones I've done and want to try next. Still a great app and idea though with bags of potential.

Like the idea of this mainly as a tool to help read routes for competitions. Would be good to be able to save personal routes and annotate. Marking sequences and body movement and angle etc. Definitely going in the right direction.

Very nice app for creating variations in your gym and create new routes. I really recommend it

Looks promising. However, despite having a 4g connection (the list of gyms shows up on search, as do the ads), when I try to add a gym via Can't find gym, it tells me to enable internet.

Great app! Perfect for smaller gyms where you run out of routes before re-sets. Hopefully will add a route rating feature along with a feature allowing you to check off on routes you've topped? Anyways, i'm happy!

Need to add a section so people can review the route and give their input on what they think climb is rated etc

The idea is great, but couldn't find any gym that has routes set. It would be cool if you could see recently set routes by other users so you don't have to search through the map

You should add a feature to be able to share routes youve set or done with specific users who also use the app. So that when i finish a climb i can share it with a friend rather than him having to find it himself.
