Looks like a great app, however... could you make it so that you can enter your insurance provider manually? It's a bit frustrating to not be able to add my info when not all insurance companies are listed. Also, I had a problem trying to select a certain one, as no matter what I did, it would only select the incorrect one above it. I would rate it 5 stars if it weren't for these issues. Thanks!
I’ve used MDLIVE many times and there’s many been glitches using the video chat. Dr near me was fantastic and had more features including the ability to send a picture while still in the app. It is also more comprehensive with collecting information without being confusing, overwhelming or time-consuming. Great app and service!
I was skeptical at first, but I’ve used the app twice and love it! You can search by male or female if you choose, and then you can either take the first available or read through the doctor’s short bio. I also like that it shows where they are so you can choose to have someone in your state or area. Super efficient! Definitely recommend.
Very impressed with this app. From using it for the first time, I can tell that it was created by a very knowledgeable group that had simplicity on top of their list to achieve the results. Easy setup, got to see a Dr in 2 minutes and had my meds in 30. I kind of want to give it a 1 star review so that it stays a hidden gem! Know your stats/vitals before doing this tho. Do not go in and not be able to describe what you are feeling!
Everyone needs to know about this app! I have had several medical issues that I’ve needed support with without having time to go to an office and this app helped me tremendously! I have used it several times and each doctor has been so amazing! The prices are affordable and the speed of the experience makes the world of difference. I felt so comfortable being able to get the support i needed without even having to leave the house. This app is the perfect example of how well technology has and can continue to impact the field of medicine.
Im a first time user of the app and everything went very smoothly. Very user friendly. It was super simple to make an appointment, and the app kept me updated on the short wait time. Dr. Barkley was awesome. Very professional and gave great explanations in regards to my symptoms and treatment. The visit was short and sweet without feeling rushed.
I’ve used this app twice and both times I was blown away by how quick and easy it was. Navigating the application is a snap and I was seen in under 5 min both times. The doctors were both extremely friendly, time efficient, knowledgeable and explanatory. Both times I hung up with a smile and thought, I wish I could see this doctor every time. COULD NOT MORE HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
This app is incredibly helpful and impressive. The app always works, great interface and easy to manage. Every doctor I’ve seen, whether for a cold/flu, therapy, are so kind and helpful. Any other review less than 5 stars is an anomaly or that person has impossible expectations.
Second time I have done this app and I could not be more pleased. Physicians are smart, knowledgeable, and more thorough than some on site docs. I believe this may be they have to pay more attention because they can not be with you in person. I wish I only had to use this app for all appointments. Definitely a yes for us. I am also adverse and not technology advanced - easy for a basic layperson like myself to load and figure out.
This app has been life changing for me. I have been struggling with mental health issues for years, between anxiety about going, having a toddler, and lack of providers I was unable to get the help I so desperately needed. With this app I can see my doctors at home while my son naps or plays. For the first time in years I am able to process normally. Thank you, seriously.
Honestly if it wasn’t for this app I would put my mental health on the back burner. Ima busy mom of three and constantly at the doctor for my kids, so I avoid unnecessary appointments whenever possible. It is the same cost or cheaper than going in person to get help for my depression, and there are no excuses with such an open on-the-go option. My only hope is that they get more specialist for Adolescent Mental Health. I have a child with ADHD and sensory issues. We’ve been trying for months to get into a child therapist and many are not taking new patients and it’s really hard on a child’s school schedule to constantly take them out for appointments. I recommend Dr OnDemand to find this niche need because honestly it would have such an impact on childhood mental health options. Kids need more and scheduling 6 months out for ages 8 and younger is devastating when you need help now. Just a suggestion. With all the new apps and options for mental health, I as a parent would be willing to pay upwards of $200+ monthly to have my child get help remotely, consistently and in hopes at times that don’t interfere with her school day. Thanks!
I’ve had great experiences every time I use this app. Doctors are friendly!! My daughter also loves it. I never have to stop what I’m doing to see a doctor, so convenient. There have been some software issues over the last week preventing me from seeing the doctor from my phone app. But it’s fine on my other devices.
Nothing beats the personal attention of a face to face but if that is not possible this is a great alternative! If not for this app and service I would probably still be dealing with the same issues that I have been for almost a year. As a busy mom of 4, who is always running to someone else’s appts, I didn’t have time for my own. Now I can fit my appts into my schedule and not spend valuable time in traffic or waiting rooms. Love it!
I am so glad I used this app! I was prepared to be frustrated or disappointed, but Im so grateful this app and service is available to us! The doctor was spectacular! Our hometown was struck by Hurricane Michael and my physicians office was included in the destruction, unfortunately. If this was not an option for us, I would have to hunt for a physicians office that open, functioning, and in-network with the added potential to drive like 50 miles away (which is a long trip when one is feeling well, none-the-less sick). I am so grateful I could see someone from home! I highly recommend this!!
I travel a lot and needed some help with shortness of breath, asthmatic symptoms. Given my schedule, I had a hard time making an appointment that I had confidence I could keep. After attempts to make appointments, I checked out this app and service and it was great.

I love tele-health. This app is so convenient and user friendly. My Dr is always on time, professional and helpful. The one time I was having a user error with my appointment/communication the customer service was very prompt and helpful.
The doctors they provided are the most helpful and compassionate I’ve been treated by. This is my second experience using this app and had an awesome experience with both. I was able to get the care I needed without even leaving my home and the wait time? Less then 5 minutes with both. Amazing! Couldn’t recommend this app and their doctors more!!! 10 stars if I could give it!

Ive used this app twice now, and I cant praise it enough. Both times, I spoke to a doctor who was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to listen to/answer my questions. Bonus: my insurance/employer cover the cost 100%. Even if they didnt, its so much more convenient, easy, and affordable than any nearby urgent care clinic Ive ever been to.
I’ve known about this app for a while but never actually gave it a try until recently. I lost my health insurance and needed access to a doctor to get my medications. I didn’t just get medications I got a warm, compassionate, and experienced professional to work with me. The app is easy to use, book, and manage appointments. You can read profiles on doctors and choose one or select first available. I really enjoy the convenience of having a personalized video call from my own home. Saves me on cost of transportation and my time. If you are looking for something convenient, fast (no need to wait weeks for an appointment), or you don’t have health coverage and need something within budget, give this a try. You will be glad you did.
I never review apps however, my jobs as a flight attendant and traveling consultant has me traveling all the time and this app has truly been a LIFE SAVER for me. There are times I am expected to be on a plane all day several days in a row without being home or being away during business hours. Without this app there are many times I would have had to been forced to call in sick, but I am always able to get the care I need no matter where I am. It’s quick, efficient, affordable, and overall awesome.
Possibly one of the best technology advances in modern medicine - keeping patients out of waiting rooms, allowing them to remain in the comfort of their home while still getting the medical attention they require. I was thoroughly impressed with my Dr. near me’s review of systems, staying within the line of my symptoms and timely recommendation of treatment. Sometimes (often!) ailments strike outside of office/urgent care hours, and this app is an incredible solution to the subsequent backlog in ERs for less urgent matters. I will definitely be a recurring customer (although hopefully not often)!
If you’re a night time worrier like me get this app! There’s no need to wait to get advice and simple tips to feel lots better quickly and save yourself a needless trip to urgent care. The docs are so patient, friendly and reassuring - you’ll wonder why you hadn’t used this sooner and will definitely plan to use it again. The app surprised me because I use so few apps, preferring in person over phone contact. This is the exception- a must-have!

I have a busy schedule with irregular hours. Dr’s visits have always been problematic. This makes a quick check about the things I’d normally let slide easy and efficient. Better still I’m not in an office with a bunch of sick people when I feel sick myself. EVERYONE should use this!!!! I’ve used it 4 times now and have been impressed each time. I have colleagues who use it with themselves and families and feel the same way. Fabulous advance for this industry.
My daughter is sick with a fever and didn’t want to get up to go to a quick care or wait in the doctors office for a few hours total. Poor girl wasn’t feeling well and I didn’t want to have to make her get up and leave. This service is so easy, very quick and convenient it’s ridiculous lol. Also, Dr. Schmidt was so sincere and very thorough! Asking a lot of questions, showing me how to do certain exams on her so we could conclude what her illness was. He was very informative and made sure if I had any other questions to please feel free and call the customer service number provided in the App. And last but definitely very important, he gave us a doctors note to excuse her absences and mine from work! Which I definitely needed. Overall experience was wonderful! I will definitely be using this service again!
Gotta admit my wife and I were skeptical, but our 8 yr old was not feeling well for 3 days. Rather than wait for urgent care to open we opted to try this service. Turns out this was a great decision. Pediatrician that treated daughter was very accommodating, personable, and thoughtful. Overall experience was very simple and efficient. Start to finish less than 15 minutes. Less time than it would take to drive someplace. Highly recommend and will definitely use again in the future.
My first time using Doctor near me and it was so easy! Start to finish was a great experience!! The only minor issue I had was that my phone battery was dying and whenever a “low battery” alert popped up it we would lose audio for a little bit. Also, don’t click off to web search whatever medical term as that seemed to cause a loss of connection which returned once I came back to the app.
