This app is garbage. I have downloaded the app and had to uninstall it FOUR times. I still can't sign up or login. Not a very good.start. To make matters worse, the salons won't answer the phone! I tried 2 different locations and the phone rang off the hook and nobody picked it up. Well someone picked it up and then hung up on me at one location. So we can't book online and we can't phone in for an appointment. Great business model🙄

Went to book an appointment using their website at a local salon. Not only did my appointment not get booked but the salon had never even heard of the site... Why are they trying to push bookings at salons they aren't even affiliated with... just a huge waste of time

I used to love this app. Now, it sucks. I have missed 3 different appointments that were made a week in advance because it never told the salon. Now, I've lost 20% off of highlights because my coupon won't be any good since they didn't get the notification for my appointment in time before it expires. In this technology age, I feel like this app should not have any issues. So, if you like to miss appointments and not save money, by all means get this app. As for me, I'm done with it!

Most stupid app I have ever seen. I was excited about it and got the number for the salon I wanted but all the app will allow you to do is call them..... forget it, I can book elsewhere instead of travelling all the way there and finding my favorite stylist is not working..... there are no videos or details on how to solve the issue. A complete failure.

This app has a ridiculously large number of bugs; so many, in fact, that the app is completely useless! When I try to log in (with a username and password that I'm 100% CERTAIN are correct), an error message pops up at the bottom of the screen, saying, "You have entered an invalid email address or password. Please check " - even the ERROR message has a bug in it (the second sentence is cut off, and only displays "Please check")! So, I tried clicking on "Forgot Password". A new page appears stating that my account needs to be verified, which is extremely confusing given that the previous page told me that either my email address or password was invalid. This page asks me to type in a 4 digit code sent to my email address. I check my email inbox, and there is no message from Opensalon. Back in the app, there's a message that states, "Haven't received verification code?", followed by a "Resend" link, which I touch. The page reloads. I check my email inbox again (and again, and again, for 10 minutes), but I never receive a message allowing me to "verify" my email address! The developers and testers of this app should all be fired; they're clearly incompetent! (I'm a software engineer myself).

The app does not sync with the actual availability of a stylist at the salon. I selected 1:15 for a haircut and when I arrived the stylist said it would not be until 2:30 before they could get me in. According to the stylist, the app is not to be used for making an appt. The app only gives approximate availability and she said it is always wrong!

App was unable to identify my location. After I entered my Zip, all that I got was a list of phone numbers. A simple Google search can do that, and location detection doesn't seem to be a problem. Save space on your phone and avoid this useless app.

As a hairstylist that has to deal with this at a corporate salon it is the worst. Its best for US stylist to book our own appointments. Yes it helps the clients but it makes it worse for us. Can't even get a lunch break due to an online ticket. Or scheduling a color at 5pm when we close at 7pm and turns out that client wants a color correction. Get rid of the app and stop being lazy. Stop in or call.

Easy to use, fast. Sometimes I have found out my stylist doe NOT show up on the lists when she is working and she doesn't know why. Update 3/3/21 Nothing showing up now, zero. Worthless app now. Update 4/19/21 deleted app for over a month, checked with stylist and she said they use it still. Reloaded app and nothing shows up. Worthless still.

Can't book for future except for same day. I downloaded it with the expectation that I could book an appointment with the stylist that I want but it only shows you who is currently there now. I want to be able to see when my stylist has availability and on what days in the future. I will probably uninstall if the app doesn't get fixed.

First I had to tell it my location, but it defaulted to Africa, even though on the map, it had my location correct. I put in the postal code where I was looking to get an appointment and it would hang for a long time then say I had a network error. Then it tried to tell me my phone had the wrong time and I should reset, suggesting I set to 24 hour time. Not changing just to use an app, especially when the time they give isn't even correct in 24 hour time. Waste of time, do not install.

Completely unreliable scheduling with my local salon in the Walmart in Cocoa, FL. The last several times I've made appointments and then called to verify (because the beautician said the app is unreliable!), the appointments should not have been allowed because in reality those timeslots were not available. Definitely uninstalling right now after completing this review.

I booked an appointment three days earlier but they never let the salon know and I never got an email for a cancellation. I was only notified when I showed up to my appointment and they said they were booked full and that they didn't have anything available. Had a lot of other things I could have been doing.

Very convenient. I don't even have to make a call. This app steps up the traditional "walk-in" allowing me to quickly see when my favorite stylist is available and making an appointment within minutes.

Easy to book appmnt, call 1st if you want a certain stylist then book your appointment. Their prices are right in line with other hair salons. In my opinion this is a very friendly place, everyone is so nice and helpful. I highly recommend installing the app.

Easy way to make an appt, which is honored at the destination. Easy to book, change, or cancel when life disrupts your day. On a recent visit, I walked in the door and the waiting area was full. I went up to the desk and went in right away. I'm impressed with Opensalon's all around simplicity. Many thanks as I just booked another haircut. Hey, I've got to go! My appt is in 20 minutes.

Would be nice to be able to book more than 1 person at a time. Or even have it where the back to back time I just saw available be there when I try and add another person less than a minute after booking original appointment. I would say maybe it filled up in the meantime, but I live in a very rural area and was trying to book after hours.

The app is pretty easy to use, and works well. Only thing that would be nice is if we could add things like a style after a cut as that adds time to the stylest and sometimes they don't allow enough between clients.

A very easy and convenient way to NOT get an appointment. You can find locations and who is working that day, but when you get there after making an appointment, you will be told that the app doesn't work for that.

The app is disappointing, it only showed 1 stylist name when there are 6 that work in hutchinson location. I had to call the salon to find out if the stylist was there and available. The app then does not help anything accept give salon address and phone and I can google that. I uninstalled this app it has no value.

With this app you are only "Checking in" not actually booking anything so you still have to come in and wait in line. Not to mention it doesn't have accurate info because it can't tell if someone called in sick or is out to lunch so you could have to wait a long time. Also it gives estimated time on hair cuts and let's you make a "Check in" every 15 min. Not enough time for a good haircut. And your handing info to telemarketers.

Hate to pack hair products and tools to do my hair while traveling. With this app, I can get to the closest salon quickly in any town and without checking multiple sites. THANK YOU!

Very easy & user friendly , and as a stylist it's great to get bookings without having to pause a current service to answer the phone !!! LOVE IT !!!

I absolutely love Leanne! She has always made sure we are happy with our hair before we leave!! She is very focused on doing it right! love love her and how she cuts mine and my girls hair!

Don't waste your time. Location service is bugged. Won't pull my location even if I enter my zip code. My location services are on and that's both on and off WiFi

Great app except it doesnt allow you to change or modify the appointment after you make it. You have to cancel one appointment and start over to book a new one.

Works ok but the app would be better if I could set a default salon location instead of having to pick one from the map each time I open it.

Love the ability to schedule myself for an appointment but wish there was an option for geting a perm. Would be nice for that to be added as an option. Would get a better rating from me if a perm would be added.

Easy to use. I'm not sure its always accurate with appointments being open but it's always had my appointment booked and only a few minutes of waiting.

It showed times and every time it wasn't avao. You do not know if it is available until after you try to book. It should remove unavailable time slots from the choice
