OpenScape Mobile enhances your communications experience with rich Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video capabilities from your Android device.
Plus it allows you to seamlessly move calls between desk phone, Wi-Fi and cellular. OpenScape Mobile reduces cellular charges through lower air-time minutes and roaming charges by making and receiving calls over Wi-Fi from your home, a Wi-Fi hotspot or on the corporate Wi-Fi.
With a simple finger gesture, OpenScape Mobile’s call swipe lets you seamlessly move calls from your mobile device to a desktop device, and vice-versa, and from cellular network or the Wi-Fi.
What you can do
OpenScape Mobile works in three modes (depending on the license you purchased):
UC-only mode:Gives you access to OpenScape Unified Communications features (also see OpenScape UC)
● Set your user presence status and preferred device or device list● Be reached on a single published phone number● See your OpenScape contacts and their presence status● Manage your OpenScape contacts and place calls to your contacts through your corporate network● Initiate ad-hoc conferences and join a conference, plus see the conference status● Activate rules and set time zone, location and status note● View missed calls in the Journal ● Automatically import credentials from the OpenScape mobile client, if installed and configured
Voice/Video-only mode: Gives you access to VoIP and Video, plus call transfer, call forwarding and call swipe.
Combined mode:Gives you both UC and VoIP/Video functionality in a single mobile application.

Needs lot of improvement
Most unstable app. Keeps switching off automatically.
Mostly works well but the Widget wastes far too much space which prevents other icons being placed to the side or immediately above/below.
Initially crashed on attemping to connect. Had to work over Wi-Fi first. Not sure if due to not being updated for new Android OS?
Why does the app, upon starting, need access to camera, record audio, send sms? Every time
"No response for the request. Please try again later"
Voice over 3G works fine with good signal. 4G still not tested.
Cool really cool
Native dialpad no longer works on Nexus 5. Openscape Dialpad does work, but you cannot access contacts
very useful tool when travelling and you are not in the office. I used it all the time when I was abroad.
The last update is fantastic!! Now it can be used as real professional app as soon as it allows to chose between own keypad and mobile one. Congratulations Unify for recognizing this drawback in previous version and accepting users' remarks. Initiation conf session is easier that ever, too!! best regards, Nenad
Great tool
1. 4x3 large widget occupying space without customization. 2. no "on off" switch in the app! I need to find that switch in the widget
BYOD is the hottest topic in today's UC environment. Unify's OpenScape Mobile Client allows the user community to use their own devices or company issued devices to access a very feature rich UC solution.
Could not live without it. Would like an easier means to search the directory
Easy to use and reliable
This app is great. Saves me and the company so much money as I no longer need to use the mobile. Call quality is great. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because if you get a weak signal message you can no longer swap devices during the call.

Really good to reduce costs on cell phone calls. Now I am able to call company colleagues at no cost when I am at a Wi-Fi hotspot or at home. If you travel frequently this is a must-have app.
This app is fantastic for the mobile business user. You can make or receive your OpenScape voice calls over WiFi with your Android!

The SIP client in OpenScape Mobile supports HD (high definition) voice between my Samsung Galaxy S2 and our office OpenStage phones. Speech is crystal clear. The app pops up when a call arrives I can flick the call to my desk with one swipe or click. It takes over my dial pad and places the call over wifi. If there is no wifi it asks if I want to use 3G. Very easy.
Works great using a swipe motion to transfer calls from cell to telephone is too cool
Keeps going into call back mode, have tried Wifi and cell data separately but every 10 to 15 mins auto goes into call back mode :(
