Edit: Latest update corrected my problem. Really excellent turn-around! The app is back to being really awesome. Today's update broke all capability to connect to my open sprinkler. I can use a browser with the IP just fine. The app consistently fails to connect.
was great until update this morning deleted all of my existing sites and will not connect. I tried scanning and manually setting them up and get the same error to check ip/port. Yet I can log on in a browser with the same ip/port no problem.
everything works great until you install the zone expander. can I communicate with the unit. if I reset it to factory default works great right up until I add in the zone expander. product is pretty much worthless with Zone expander
Lots of problems with this app since I bought it. Been notifying developer of problems on his forums for over a year and now all of the posts are gone. Unit will not allow me to update firmware and continues to disconnect from my WIFI even though access point is a few feet away. unit will not work or water lawn when it is disconnected. This product is half baked in my opinion. I recommend you look elsewhere for a dependable product.
An app that requires Device ID and Call Information to manage a sprinkler system? Complete invasion of privacy and this should have been rectified weeks ago. Uninstalled application and will check again next month if those permissions are still required. In the meantime I have to give an unacceptable rating and will be using the OpenSprinkler direct web interface instead.
latest update ruined it now it doesn't work at all. cannot water my yard help! this is summer!! used to be great, total 5 star product, not anymore until this is fixed.
Keeps data linked to device - after full uninstall previous connection info filled in again. issues repprted with "unable to connect" still there in v 2.0.0
Great app to go with excellent hardware. Without a doubt the best irrigation controller I have ever had.
After trying many different sprinkler systems, finally found one that just works. I've had Open Sprinkler for 3 years now and I love it.
Constantly crashes. It takes it minutes sometimes to recognize that I submitted a manual request to turn on a zone.
Constantly will tell me my login and password are invalid. But no issues with the web browser.
Works great for last 5 years with raspberry pi 2. What a great combo. Super happy with results.
Easy to set up. No problems after a few months of use.

The app is no longer able to open Dan SIP program. Please fix it.

I use to use a controller that was for our computerized Christmas display for our sprinklers. We have a large lot with a lot of zones. This system is great. A major help when I am out in the yard and need to test a zone. Just pull out the phone and tell it to run for a few seconds. Plus it keeps that short time in for the next time I have to do it without messing up my normal run schedule and times.
This device and app saved me about 30 percent on my water bill, and the lawn looked better. I have also converted 2 of my family members to it and they have similar results. Nothing flashy, but highly recommend.
great app! I bought an 8 channel relay and set GPIO pins on RPi, installed OSPi on my Raspberry Pi 2 and was up and running!
Pretty good when it works, but when I get it set up and everything seems okay, a few days later it doesn't work. Also, I can't find a way to have it shut down when below a certain temp (like freezing).
