Disconnect Pro, Knox, Bixby, DeX and now this is why I can't see myself going back to Apple. it offers the same, even better security and privacy, while offering way more functionality and customization. Keep up the great work. Also, please do a better job teaching people how to use the Bixby button. So many people don't realize you press speak then release like a walkie talkie and get frustrated presuming it's just another voice assistant versus a privacy centric secure voice control platform.
The new version is utter garbage. It doesn't work on my mobile connection at all. The only thing I get are errors about DNS. I don't know if Verizon may be blocking this for some reason, but it is frustration. It works when connected to wifi, but the problem then is that I can't receive SMS/MMS While connected to the VPN. Once I disconnect from the VPN, everything comes through all at once. To make matters worse, when I disconnect via the app by toggling protection off, my phone still shows the VPN "key" icon up in the status bar. Going into the phone's VPN settings still shows it connected. I have to disconnect it there as well. On top of all that, now in addition to having a Samsung Max ad-containing lock screen over top of my regular lock screen, which doesn't support fingerprint or face unlock, now I'm also forced to watch an ad before I am connected to the VPN. It needs to be one or the other, not both. This app used to work great but it has so many issues now that I can't recommend it at all.
I used to like this app, but the functionality has gotten so bad that I stopped using it. When you activate it, most common apps won't work even when manually initiated, such as downloading an app from the Play store, or using music streaming apps. Using the VPN mode slows it down to a crawl. I used to like power saving mode, but like I mentioned, it interferes with apps I'm trying to use. Hopefully they fix it, I used it for nearly two years without a hitch until several months ago.
This app works perfectly but, I don't understand why you would add a free plan when you made the premium free. Why not set the premium plan as default and ask the user if they would like to upgrade to deluxe. You have two free plans when one is not needed. It just makes the app look more cluttered and complicated. Keep a free plan (default) and a paid plan but you all need to get rid of the third plan because it is unnecessary.
Internet speed drops significantly, most apps refuse to work with it, even when the VPN part is turned off. So many apps stop working, google apps especially. Ads ads ads ads ads ads ads ads. Can't touch any area of the app without being asked to upgrade or buy something. I've never seen an app pester a person so much to buy things. Try to disable the VPN, you're presented with several upgrade offers that back you out of what you're attempting to do. Turn off the VPN, it turns back on by itself.
A nice app but with too many issues. Firstly, the VPN routed my home country to The Netherlands. All my Google services turned to Dutch language, which I don't understand. Secondly, I couldn't upgrade to the Deluxe or the plus aspect of it. I used it some years ago my Note 4, with no issues. The situation has changed for the worse. Pls fix these.
App works great, but looking at the compliments I understand there frustration. On data saver it blocks a lot of things like simple things like downloading apps from the play store lol. I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't do anything but when I took the time too understand and how to use the app, it is a great piece of software except for the adds. I would of paid for the app to remove the adds but I think it was subscription based so I removed it. Otherwise it does what it says .
Love this app so far. It's fully featured, it's not missing anything the paid version has other than it has ads whilst your phone is on charge which I think is very reasonable! It has quite a few features to get through before I can give a fully educated opinion but on the face of it, it appears like the perfect app for MY Samsung. Give it a look as I'm almost sure you will as happy as I am with it.
Could be as good as it was Opera Max. Difficult to use compared to its parent app. It should show apps with savings on top instead than at the bottom of the long list of the rest of your apps. Some menus such as the "background usage" settings are confusing and you end up not knowing if on means that you allow or disallow background savings. At this stage 3 stars is very optimistic knowing that they only have to copy their parent app to be better. If it were for me I'd give it 1 or 2 stars.
I thought this was a great initiative from Samsung to make the phone even more useful for privacy. This slows down the network performnace significantly, more than one tenth of normal speed with out Samsung Max. Also I get messages from other apps that "We have detected unusual traffic..". In addition I get a message frkm Device care that the app is consuming too much power. Any advice?
Seamless and smooth, though filled with bloatware. The application is easy to use and comes with all the features you would expect from a VPN service that is made and run by Samsung. Based on Opera's Max (bought by Samsung), I feel the privacy aspect could be enhanced and the menus could be less cluttered.
Wanted this just so I can stop apps from using wifi and mobile data. The problem is that I have to keep the vpn connected to make it work. My old phone could block wifi and mobile data without installing any app, it was a backed in feature, as it should be on Samsung phones!!! Since this is the only useful feature the app provides for me, I installed another one that does the same thing (still uses vpn). At least that app doesn't show lockscreen ads when phones is charging!!!
Finally found Adguard VPN and Adguard (anti-track) that works works similar like this app . But I even stop using this app before my Paid time was up. A reason can't be paying for a subscription and customer service is non-existent. That is scant regard and no respect for paying customers.Foolishness and ridiculous!!! No support??? I have never seen a paid service and no support even if they can't answer right away. I have never seen this before for a paid subscription
I needed the feature of preventing foreground data access for social apps which this app did well. The problem came when I was on WiFi and nothing would load, even with all WiFi savings modes deactivated. Quite disappointing.
Installed it, seems good. The app drains a lot of battery very quickly. The connection with the app activated is slow. Please fix it. Also if you uninstall the app and install it again, it doesn't have a history log. You can't login with an account and set preferences.
Better than every free VPN It doesn't reduce the speed of internet too much, and helps keeping your privacy secret. If you are not planning of buying VPNs then this is better choice among free VPNs. It is light in weight and fast in connecting. And also out of securing privacy it has other features like Data Saving and Wi-Fi saving and reporting all your saved data to you. It also has premium mode that I didn't try but I think it will be nice.
I really like the extra layer of protection offered for Samsung but it blocks too many apps and is too slow. Focus on just the VPN for cellular data and get it to turbocharged speeds. Wifi Savings is unnecessary since most people have modern router with security keys and unlimited data from primary service providers like Spectrum. EVEN CELLULAR DATA is unlimited for the most part.
Great app for saving data when you're on mobile and good privacy protection. The new feature to allow you to choose an alternate DNS service is also a great addition. I just wish the privacy protection feature allowed whitelisting of apps. When it's turned on, it drops my YouTube videos to 480p.
This app keeps going backwards. The first time i upgrade, it forces me to watch an ad for 4hours, no problem. After the latest upgrade, its no longer free, now i have to upgrade my account before i use it? You have to be kidding me!
Could you imagine that I have 2 paid subscriptions of VPN, one that is offered with anti-virus(AV) ends 2023 and 1 with an independent VPN (ends 22 Sept) I'd bought before my AV. And yet, I leave both VPNs and work with the free version of this app, which slows up my Whatsapp messages and buffer my YouTube videos. Well, one of the reasons, is that I trust Samsung VPN than the others. And if it was more efficient, I'd have bought a subscription. Samsung, please fix the VPN...
Can be useful for saving on mobile data & setting up secure VPN connections. I found it to be a service I just don't need so I'm removing it. If you want an easy way to save data browsing the web and, or securing your connections on public access than use it...
Anytime I turn on the VPN this thing continues to use background data for what I don't know till is wipes my whole Data balance. What could it have done with 3GB in a night? Are you kidding me???? And I wasn't even using my phone I just woke up to find out Samsung Max has used up all my data. This is the 2nd time stuff like this has happened. ⚠️Do not download if you don't want your data to continue to mysteriously deplete. So many alternatives that don't steal your data. #Uninstalled.
Its such an amazing app. You can watch ads to enjoy everything that you get in premium, for 4 hours. You get VPN, block ads other places, protect app requests, and more for free if you watch an ad. 1 thing I'd recommend for that feature is having an option for ads on or off, because I would have them on so I can support the developer.
