I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It's got a nice layout that's easy to navigate. One thing that is a plus if the ability to download and read the news offline which I find especially helpful as sometimes I am in areas that has a week internet connection so this is helpful as I can download and read the news when I am in these areas. Thank you to the developers... It's above average in performance and definitely worth downloading.

I like the content but the way it's layed out on the screen I find to be rather messy and confusing.A bit generic. It would be nice if you had a dark mode theme for people like me who feel eye strain. Also for some odd reason at random times the app won't let me close it. It's really strange actually but just now I had it happen again, kept clicking every which way and finally I got it after I backed space a dozen times or something. Overall it needs some tweeking and maybe I'll come back.

Very fast in bringing out news. But most of the time the English grammar is bad . Work seriously on that . The grammar is still very bad in most of the story lines. As if there are no knowledgeable proof readers. Sometimes you don't understand the sentence they're trying to construct. Thanks. As at today 19/04/22 there is a little improvement in the grammar and the presentation of the news. I still believe you need good proof readers. Thanks.

As far as being an informative local news source, I really like this app and frequently use it all throughout the day. However, there are a couple of rather annoying issues that apparently either cannot be resolved or that I've simply been unable to resolve: the first being that there is no available dark theme (which can be very important issue for some) and secondly, the comments section appears to be an unfixable mess (cannot remove, delete or even so much as alter anything)

I came from Google News and found this to be much better as it's similarly laid out, but the paywalls made me leave. So I came to this and started using this for a couple days and yes it's very very good. BUT you have so many damn popups after reading an article forcing me and others to watch a video advert. Additionally you have several adverts in articles which is highly frustrating. I'd be happy to pay for a pro version and bypass this, but you don't. I shall be uninstalling this. Thanks.

I'm always up to date about things that happen in my country, the notifications don't display on screen when you're busy with something and disturb you, it provides reliable news, never false and inaccurate. I love using it, you could also be loving it... Why don't you download now?

Opera News is super convenient. It is a gateway to a variety of news media, providing you links and in some cases summaries of different articles. It also provides you the opportunity to comment and rate articles. It is this not only convenient but also fun. I personally find it more user friendly on my phone than Yahoo.

Generally, I dont get any issues on this app , but just recently had the same intermittent problems for the last few days and hard to report it. my message board freezes intermittantly My replies disappear have forget what I have said when sometone replies to my comment. pictures posted sometimes vaninish too. would be a lot better if there was a block feature for rude people who insist on trolling. I hope Opera will improve their app. too much news on the priveleged need more world news

I've been having a problem with getting my messages it's been going on for three weeks now. It says empty after I click on the messages when it said I have message's. If it's not fixed by next week I will be taking BOTH apps off my phone..

I caved and clicked on an ad and installed this. The ad was an interesting sounding news story. Surprise surprise, I can't find the same one from the ad. I even went back to the ad once this was installed. Straight to the homepage I went. As soon as I see this in my notifications, it's getting uninstalled.

I hate to give a low review, but the amount of bugs are insane. When typing a comment, 9/10 times the text dissappears and I have to retype it. The bookmark option glitches and often won't work. The share option lags or doesn't work. Replying to comments result in comments failing to show as a reply and as a seperate comment. I love the potential, but please consider fixing the bugs, the app is almost unusable.

Gonna have to delete this app again I opted out of push notifications, and they still happen, and you can't swipe them away, you have to push the X to get rid of them. And why do you get push notifications when you open the app? Maybe I will reinstall the app after it gets fixed again.

This is great app! But i rated one star because i am unable to post content on the platform. Under the "become a creator" option, when filling your details the app will keep on telling you no internet connection when uploading a profile picture. I will understand if there should be a reasonable feedback like you're no more accepting new creators. If it's a bug, try to fix it.

There is a great improvement in the updated version of this app than the previous versions. The newer version comes with more features. But the problem is that some of the news content are not properly written. This app also consumes a lot of mobile data.

Too many adds and bugs and also with the app u turn off the settings for notifications and it turns itself on by its self and also one more thing is when u open the articles to read them there's so many adds when u click on it it gets annoying sometimes when u want to read it

I use to love this app until the x rated ads began popping up while i am reading. Mostly the story of the day articles. I checked for viruses on my phone and there is none. This is the only app the ads show up in. I even removed the app and installed it again and still the same problem. Since i do not want to see butts and penises and people that want to met me for sex in my news, i will be removing this app once again.

I have sent several emails to every email associated with this company. Nobody will respond to a single email. Where is the customer service with this company? Why are they completely unreachable by the public? They have a phone number, but when you call you only get a recording that they don't have phone support. I have sent several very specific emails to your feedback email...still nothing. Just looking for someone to get back to me.

It's really helpful for all form of students who want to speak and write good English and so I recommend it for every English language learner. It's self explanatory and contains thousands of words. This app is very frustrating, it only opens content when it feels like, 95% of the time its not working, i thought its my browser or wi-fi, but I tried it on 4 different devices with different network services, still crashes, very useless.

Worst app! I am from Bangladesh. Opera News is available in my country. But, when I open the app, it keeps loading for few minutes even on high-speed WiFi internet. Then, it tells me check my internet connection. Please help!!!

This is a good news app, good article's, good variety of information. But it need two things.., a dark mode for EZ reading, and to stop deleting comments they don't agree with. This app has a free speech platform problem. If you make a comment, someone doesn't agree with, it will be deleted.

I love this app at initial stage, but discovered that there are some stubborn adverts coasing me to download. I am not against ad, but a situation where you are not allowed to skip unless you download is disheartening.

Buggy, Ads are deceptive and sneaky, "Your Device is low on Memory! Click Here to repair" is a common one. Going back to Smartnews. This Opera tryout was a dismal failure. The layout and article choices are really bad.

I love the app my problem is, I can read the headlines but unable to get to the story itself. Is there something that I do wrong please advise as I am not prepared to change to another app. This is very informative & up to date for me. Please help me.

Great for local news. There are a few things that I don't like. If you try and share the article or link, it doesn't share the source. It forces you to view only inide the app. In addition, if you try to share by email, it opens gmail automatically, even if you use another email account. Another big irritation is many articles are missing the assiciated photos. For example today, an article was missing a dozen photos which the article was about. There was no way to view them.

Needs an update, can't maintain connection. Have to force close the app and reopen it every time I try to look at an article. Almost 6 months since last update.

Far too many adverts, especially when they appear in the middle of a story you are trying to read. Impossible to read some stories for ads getting in the way, time to leave this app and try elsewhere.

There's a bunch of clickbait articles which opera news seems to vacuum up along with real news stories. This wastes my time. Also, opera news is the only app in the app store which does not have a dark mode. And this means the blinding white background burns my corneas.

This is one app that does mot allow me to enlarge the screen. For a visual disabled person this makes it difficult to read articles. The font enlarge is not good enough.

A great source of news from different perspectives. It would be great to introduce a dark theme. The white background drains a lot of battery.
