All in all, a really decent mobile browser I prefer to use over chrome on android. One thing is missing for me that can be solved in either of these ways : - In the settings, add a "Never store browsing data" option. Cookies, history, form data etc. are never stored even without private browsing. - Or in the settings, add a "Clean all browing data on app close" . Basically as you close the app, it deletes Cookies, history, form data etc. as if you would clean manually. With that I'd say 5stars.
This has to be the finest lightweight browser that I have used. I add my favourite sites to the Home Screen - nice and simple. I have cerebral palsy, and so using the Fast Action Button makes it so much easier for me to swap tabs as well as closing one (or all). I use Qwant as my default search engine because it delivers excellent search results.
Edit: After selecting BING as the default search it does open to bookmarks as preferred. As far as bookmarking, it would be nice if I could have folders as to not have too many bookmarks populating the real estate. I would really prefer the application open with "bookmarks" rather last site visited. Hugely inconvenient in it doing so. Fantastic otherwise.
Good browser. When choosing Duck duck go as the default search engine i am not able to copy the duck duck go search link. It only allows me to copy the search txt. Google and other searches I can. Still an issue The only issue is that every so often search will not look up anything when typing into the search bar. The only fix is to go into ph settings and remove app data and it works again.
Pretty smooth working app, however one of my biggest complaints is the fact that whenever I try to open an app through my opera browser (discord invites, verifying an account, etc) It takes me to the appstore to download an app that I already have installed. Therefore I can't accept discord invites, have to open apps manually and not automatically, and just feels super annoying and counterproductive. I have tried restarting my browser, going to the appstore and back, does nothing.
It's an excellent application, no ads everything is perfect, except the experience with YouTube especially while watching videos in landscape mode ,it needs to be improved.
been using this for 3+ years and will likely keep doing so! it's faster than most, more lightweight than the standard opera browser, and less chunky than opera mini. sometimes a minimal amount of features (in this case: opera flow, qr scan & ad blocker) are all you really need
Quite impressed for a lite browser. It works in landscape but switching tabs is only portrait? I want to be able to turn JavaScript off and 'find in page' needs to be on the bottom bar.
Somehow its unresponsive/not connecting when i use wifi. But if i change to mobile data, it works just fine. Idk what cause this but my wifi is working fine, i use opera as well and it doesnt have this issue.
It's a good browser but not any better than the regular Opera Android browser. I don't see any advantage to it and I can't find where to turn on the VPN that's supposed to be included.
It is the best browser I have ever used it is with no ads and free to browse saving website in page all the things are outstanding I am using it for 3 months now no lag and I will recommend you to just try it now. Thanks๐๐๐๐๐ And yes if u have an simple browser which is free and lag Less it is theeee best(also it is outstanding if u are using it on xioami)
Best browser this is what im finding. The size are small, had desktop mode, fast browser, ad blocking browser, private mode, etc. Thanks Opera for making this app its useful!
Beautiful, clean, simple, and fast... This is basically Chrome, but modernized, streamlined, and stripped of all the unnecessary garbage... The quick access button feature is absolutely SPECTACULAR! I had to deduct a star because as of this moment, (perhaps I haven't done enough exploring) auto-fill does not work in the browser... This is the best browser design I've experienced as of yet! Keep it up guys! ๐คโ๏ธ
Very good experience. I love the dark mode which helps alot when reading. It handles multiple tabs very well too. I usually have around 70 tabs open and it never sluggish like Chrome. The UI is sleek and pleasant and the adblock is powerful. Edit: If you open a tab in background it opens in between other tabs rather than at the very bottom. It then becomes difficult to find that tab, if you have like 40 other tabs. Please add background tabs to open at the bottom in next update.
Facebook was working fine and without problems, but after the last update, the opera became a very bad and bad thing for Facebook. Unfortunately, I'll dispense with it and replace it with another
No ads. Blocks ads, but not consistently. Loads pages usually faster than Chrome but opening Google site much slower these days. Switched to Vivaldi and noticed a big boost in page loading speed in that app. Please keep updating this app.
I only use this as my "open link in..." browser, rarely clear old tabs, and it still performs very well. I haven't had any issues with any sites opening or operating. I like the design and layout, though I wish it integrated my opera-account favorites and/or that "flow" worked between android devices as opposed between device and PC - it's nearly 2022, I can't be the only person that doesn't use a PC anymore.
The search option should open a new tab rather than overwriting the current tab. New background tabs often open in the middle of older tabs instead of at the end of the stack for some reason, there is no undo popup when you close a tab like in other browsers, that's very useful when you accidentally close a tab. Some king of tab grouping like chrome browser would a very useful feature to add.
The good: it's fast, has an appealing esthetic, and easy to navigate options within the browser settings. The con: there's no "back" button. When on a website and following a link within the site, one must reload the page to get back to main page or close the tab and start again. The Moto G doesn't have a back navigation button. Also, there's no means to add a favorites speed dial site. Only recently used are in the browser body. Overall I'd still recommend.
It is great. But for changing tabs it's a hassle. Can you just make a gesture based option. Regarding the app, it's good. When I tried downloading from my seedr account, it failed. By the video was streaming without any problems. I would also like to add my webpages to home and save my passwords. It's a hassle to fill the forms again and again. Ads are blocked but what you see is webpage not available. it isn't an ad but it's still annoying. Just make them disappear.
Excellent choice for a lightweight, fast browser. I like the shortcut button to get to the various tabs, search options. The tab feature should be restricted to the tabs that are opened in the current session only. However, I find the tab feature shows every page you've visited (at least from the last time you've cleared the settings). If this feature is for searching your browsing history, it should be renamed as such. The Flow option is also a great feature.
This is a pretty good browser, I won't lie! The ability to sync up with Opera on desktop is a big plus. It does have a few drawbacks to Chrome which can be annoying once you've gotten used to it. For one, links like YouTube not opening in the official app and the inability to search for apps from the widget like Google's are probably the main ones from my end. Not entirely sure what can be done about either of them though. Overall a great browser with a lot to offer.
Really smooth, fast and easy to use. The Fast Action Button is a smart and unique feature. It makes one handed browsing a lot easier since you don't need to reach the top of the page to switch tabs, start a new search, or share the page you're currently on. The one feature I'd like to see is the ability to add your own search engine. I'd like to use Ecosia, but can only choose between the search engines already chosen for me. If this ever gets fixed, I'd definetly give 5 stars.
It's a wonderful browser, the ad-blocking is useful, the interface is nice and clean, and the F.A.B. makes navigation more intuitive than other mobile browsers. So all in all, there isn't anything wrong with it. Although an addition of a tab on the home screen for news with a "Your Sources" section would be great. Having that integrated into the desktop browser so I could get articles from sites that actually interested me personally was a huge draw for me to switch to Opera.
Really good browser. Set it as my default browser. fast, easy to use, feature rich. But it needs a 'home' button in the navigation panel, an 'Offline pages' feature and a 'list view' in tabs would make it easier to manage with one hand (at least for me). All the best to the team who put their efforts in making this browser. And seriously, add those three features I mentioned as soon as possible. ๐ #OperaTouch
I was looking for a stylish yet functional browser. It turned out not as easy as it sounds, so when I found OT I was very impressed. The design is superb! There would be firm 5 stars, but the app lacks a very substantial feature: ability to sort the bookmarks into the folders. I have many of them, and they pile up and up - not too tidy! It would be also good to have a real night mode (with dimming of all the white elements including pop-up menus) and ability to view the source code of the pages.
I really like the user interface of this app. But there's so many things that can be improved. For example, there's no button to stop the browser from loading the page, this is really useful if the device has very slow connection but the desired content is already loaded, user can stop it whenever they want. And one thing that makes this browser far below any other Opera browsers is lack of built-in VPN. If it's get added, this is will be my MAIN browser.
First of all, this app is avant garde. It is so easy to use and it gives quick access to whatever you need. Although as every innovation, you have to get used to it, get rid of your old browser using habits, and then you can feel free as a bird. One thing that is absent from the app is that there is no back button as it was substituted with in the tab buttons which lead to confusion, since the web pages you surf have the same web icon. I, personally will wait for a back button, if developers consider to add one.
