Operation World
OW is widely regarded as the definitive volume of prayer information about the world and is the recipient of the ECPA Gold Medallion Award for Excellence in Evangelical Christian Literature.
OW has had seven editions published along with several reprints. The original edition was produced in 1964, based from Southern Africa, and was only 32 pages of basic information about 30 countries. The most recent OW publication was an abridged version, called Pray for the World, which was released in late 2015. The app contains curated material from both of these resources along with selective updates.
The various editions of OW and Pray for the World have been translated into several other languages: Arabic, Amharic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu. The cumulative number of copies printed in all languages approaches 2.5 million.
OW is listed in Christianity Today's “The Top 50 Books That Have Shaped Evangelicals: Landmark titles that changed the way we think, talk, witness, worship, and live.”

I am delighted with this app. I have been using it daily since the end of October and have learnt so much about the world and what the Lord is doing. I love the maps and flags but would like to scroll them up while I read the text, or even pause them, as they are a little distracting. Could I also suggest that if we are praying for a country or topic for more than 1 day there could be an indication such as 1/3, 2/3, etc. *ed. 15/2/21 Thank you for adding this last suggestion! Very helpful.
Pray for the world while you learn about it! I love all of the information about various countries. Unfortunately, my daily reminder has not been popping up. The settings appear to be correct (reminders enabled, scheduled for 7:00 AM). Maybe it has something to do with the length of time since an update has been made?
The app is great, but since buying a new Samsung, I need to constantly clear the cache in order to see the map that accompanies the information. When that doesnt work, I need to reinstall the app. My last phone (not a Samsung) worked fine after initial hassles with the same issue.
I see at the bottom of the page where it says when the info was last updated! Thank you for that. Is there a way to add a "share" button? So after we pray for a country we could share the link to that day's country that would take people to the website. I would like to share to FB and Instagram

Loved this up. But it got stuck in India. After several days, I uninstalled it. Then reinstalled it after several days. And it's still stuck in India. Hope you can fix this. God give you guys wisdom to do the work he has called you to!
I use this daily. I use the function for to send me a reminder each day. What a great resource. I've used the paper book version for 10 years.

I think this app is great, it could be improved by adding some photos of people from the nation we're praying for each day.
Easy to use, clear & informative. An excellent resource for building awareness of world & prayer for.
Overcoming adversity through our brokenness is always a challenge for Christians who continue in prayer, no matter what the situation is. This app is a # 1 priority for our world to come to the aid of countries who know God is mighty to save 🙏

Good app in general. I like that there are different tabs for different levels of information and that the detailed information is broken down into individual prayer requests. My one complaint is the scrolling banner at the top which I find highly distracting. It would be nice to be able to pause the scrolling or if it scrolled through once and then stopped
