Update: notifications still useless there years and four Android generations later. Notifications are not expandable or selectable to enter app for operating status. Better than the last 5 years of no notifications I guess. Running a Pixel 2 XL on Android P.
I am having problems with my notifications. When I get a notification, I can't "pull it down" to see the details. Also, tapping on it does not open the alert. I have to open the app itself to see the details of the alert.
Wow. App is amateurish. Not useful. No real-time sync with current OPM status, e.i., useless. And set-notification buttons are nonsense. Three "Delayed Arrival" buttons. Two "Early Departure" buttons. Whaaa? App is garbage and makes OPM look like clowns. EDIT: OPM status in app does eventually update with current OPM status, but DO NOT rely on the app for timely weather or closure alerts. Visit opm.gov/status instead.
Alert banners are too small to read what the alert actually says, and you can't expand them. It basically just lets you know that you need to open the app or go to the website and check the status. And you have to do that manually since tapping the banner does nothing.
I like the idea of this app but it just has too many issues. Seems like some newbie dev made it and showed someone, got them to post it, then left. Here are the issues i see which should quick to resolve. Hell, I am a dev and will do it for you guys. - Notifications on android wont expand to allow you to read them. As it stands, the part I'm interested in is, is the Gov open or not. - Can't click on the notifications to open the app. Come on this is like android development 101 here folks. - using the back button on the app will not close/minimize the app. For now that is it. I am sure there are a ton more but all I care about is open/closed. This seems like an easy thing for whomever runs this app to just get it updated.
It is great to see notifications from this app, but have there been ANY updates since 2018 to fix problems that have been reported in the reviews? It doesn't shift to the app from the notifications and it is hard to shut down. Please update it.
in Addition to the previous review... cannot back out of the application by using the back button, have to use the home key. 2nd status update notification was not sent... *Edit* tested in Galaxy S7 Edge
App used to be great to use. Now the alert notification doesn't open. It forces you to go to the app/website for the full messages. Useless!
keeps crashing often; when the alert notification is selected, the app does not open; uninstall/install didn't help.
Wow, this App needs some serious help. Dont waste your time trying to get it to push alerts. Heck can't even close the App.
This app is terrible. It either won't open or when it does it locks up. Read the news instead.
It's a good one to have especially retired or even not. Keeps you updated on what's going on for federal.
The application never send alerts. Just an app that has to be manually opened to get the alerts
This app didn't work at all. Freezes and back button doesn't work.
this will not work properly on my S9 android even after reinstalling it a number of times.
Works fine for me, I open app to check status , did not attempt push notifications
it does what it is intended to do. not much else to say about it. it's not pretty or fun but it doesn't need to be.
Works on iOS, but doesn't update on Android.
The app stopped working today It shows no status.
Doesn't display full alert in notifications
It's freezing sometimes or it doesn't open
The app does not respond to exit or close commands.
Timely and Accurate Info.
great to have
Fed employees are last to know sometimes
Complete for the asking.
Meets my expectations
I thought I had uninstalled the app, but no, it's still there. I get 0 notifications from the app despite the recent weather-related closures and delayed starts/earlier departures, all of which which I have selected alerts for. I have to open the app to see those. And the app does not close with the back button. It's more convenient to visit the website.
