• Exclusively for TELUS Optik TV subscribers. An Optik TV username and password is required to log onto this service. To set up an account, go to your Optik TV digital box and press the menu button on your remote control. Select Settings, then select Optik TV account. Go to www.telus.com/helpcentre for more information on setting up an Optik TV account. TELUS Quebec customers are not supported.

Subject to content provider restrictions:
• Only select On Demand titles available.
• Live TV channels available for TELUS Optik TV subscribers. For select Live TV channels, requires access within the home on a TELUS internet connection. Can be watched on a compatible smartphone or tablet.

Brutal. I would give it zero stars if I could. App closes when trying to load video. Tried going to the web site and nothing but errors. Fianlly called the support line and I was told the app is not supported by Chrome OS. Which is pretty pathetic. Should have stayed with Shaw. I had no problems with their bluecurve app. Don't switch if you are considering it.

App worked flawlessly for me, but only 2 stars because it doesn't have a way to set resolution lower so as to not needlessly waste data when streaming over mobile network. Ideally there should be user accessible resolution settings similar to those in YouTube, (which allows numerous resolution settings, down to as low as 144p). Why are the SD versions of channels (9000- 9999 in guide) blocked in this app? Unblocking those would be a step in the right direction.

If there was a -5 stars that is what I'd rate it. Worst experience ever. Slow to load, freezes every 10 minutes, when scrolling thru the guide, it goes either one row at a time or jumps 100 channels. Get it together Telus, or just remove the app if you aren't going to make this a good streaming experience. I've kept the app for months with the hopes they'd fix it, but they haven't, so have removed it.

Keeps giving an error every 10 mins and closing the show I was watching. Sometimes it remembers where it stopped and other times it starts over and I have to find where I was. Very frustrating. Support is super hard to get as well. this issue is mentioned several times but is not listed as a "known issue" on the site. Sooo mad that I am paying for crave with Telus but I can't enjoy watching the shows. Also very difficult to tell what shows are available to watch and what can only be recorded.

What a terribly underdeveloped app. I'm not able to record anything or if I can I've no idea where to find it, I'm sent in circles trying to find a show I'm able to actually watch, many times the voice and picture don't meet and there doesn't seem to be a way to successfully switch the view to full screen which means I'm watching with my top and bottom bars. My mobile has the same issues and trying to scroll through the live schedule is nearly impossible as the page jumps back to where I started from. This app could be such a gold mine for Telus if they would only bother to complete the programming. This app is such a disappointment.

Useless app. You used to be able to change the channel with it, but not anymore. Also, it's impossible to scroll through the channels properly. It's ok if you want to watch a show (that glitches constantly) or if you want to record a show remotely. Considering it is now August 2020 and nothing has been updated since last October, it's obvious Telus isn't paying attention to any reviews.

The app is clearly just not supported with updates, the amount of bugs that disrupt your viewing experience is just unbelievable for a corporation if this size. Very little thought or effort went into this app, it looks good on the surface, but once you've used it for more than 5 minutes its extremely dissapointing. Their streaming app (the direct thing that competes with the straming apps slowly running them out of business), cannot compete.

What a terrible app. I have a great phone it's a Samsung note 8 and my internet connection is from telus and it's fast. It's just really hard to navigate and to search for shows that I want to record. There's also a glitch with the search bar. When I do a few searches eventually the search bar glitches and makes it very hard to search for stuff. The guide is annoying to use also. The older app was wayyy better and smoother. I was hoping the updates wound improve the old version buy the app completely charged and became worse!

After latest update, will not work. Have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times Still no luck. Screen first frozen after a few seconds of play, now I only get a blank screen. Shaw had a better system. Tried Pik TV , it would load, but after a few seconds would freeze. Audio kept going. It shows that Telus management does not care by the number of poor reviews on both Optic and Pik TV, and the lack of response to correct it. Will look at other providers once our term is up.

Good until last update screwed it up. Love that I can record from anywhere. Love the easy to use interface. simple to understand. Just now as others have noted it's really annoying that the screen won't rotate for horizontal viewing. 3 stars. Otherwise 5. The problem with the picture not rotating to full screen is now resolved. Once a channel is selected to watch, the picture is automatically full screen. I had to uninstall and redownload to update. Nice job Telus. Rating updated to 5 stars.

This app could be way better. It is slow to load. Weird screen flashes and why does the screen need to be so big. Not every device is 1080p. The side and bottom scroll bars will get annoying after on episode. Optik TV is slower and uses up more space and data than BlueCurve TV. Very disappointed with Telus. Their ads suggest otherwise. I would definitely not tell a friend.

Without a doubt THE WORST app I have ever used. Crashes and freezes constantly, cannot move out of app to send a text for example then go back into the app... it will freeze and shut down every time. only rotates horizontally 1 direction which doesnt sound annoying but it is. Also it is not compatible with anything, samsung DeX, docking ports, nothing. The only app I have came across that you cannot cast onto your TV at home and it's literally a TV app. Telus is also garbage.

The App requires a complete overhaul. Wipe and start over. Requires testing prior to distribution. The UI is a Rabbit hole. UPref are not saved. The favourites needs to be re written to retain the series and memory of last show watched for resume. Works sometimes and the favorites only bounces to the single episode you watched. Great if you want to watch dance episode over and over. I would say create a manual but thay would defeat the purpose of effective Programming a intuitive UI.

Password system is broken. Everytime i try to login, my password is incorrect even when i reset password. If i miraculously login i have no idea how. I think their system is out of sync or something. I have to wait 24 hours or something for all the passwords to sync throughout thair architecture or something. Its soooooo bad. This is the only app that forces me to reset password every time and still never works until the moon is blue. Absolute garbage. I use a password manager and it doesnt matt

Awful. When using the guide & PVR functions you can't even read the full title of the program (Telus decides which channel to record your program on - sometimes it's a channel in a completely different language!). I would think this is important information but I guess Telus doesn't. The app only works in portrait mode. So try watching a live show in widescreen but in portrait mode. It's microscopic, trust me. This app needs a LOT of work. The Shaw TV app puts this one to shame.

This app is too jumpy on the guide. One incomplete move with your finger and it jumps hundreds of channels ahead or jumps back to the beginning. Can't use the scroll bar on the side. If you try to grab it, you just open the program under it. The old app was great, this one needs help!

I have this app it works for about 3 minutes and then it goes to a error message on the screen. Not happy at all I was told I was able to use my phone and or internet browser and just connected to the TV the only thing that actually works and it's running Optik TV through my Apple box which is quite shity cuz I would like to watch it on my break. Don't be so quick to make an app make sure it works right before you release it.
