The Optoma Connect App has been developed exclusively for Optoma P1 and UHL55 projectors. After downloading and installing this app, sync to your account to start using remote control and Smart+ functions.
What can the Optoma Connect App do?
* InfoWall: Internal images of artworks can be accessed at any time to enhance and diversify the atmosphere of your home. With your Optoma projector create your own style.
* Schedule: After completing InfoWall settings, choose the broadcast time and period. Access Ambience or Information when you need it, enhancing the quality of your life.
* Projector: After syncing to your account, use the same account to log into IFTTT to immediately connect to your projector. Freely change the IFTTT settings to customize functions.
* Remote: There is no need to put down your smartphone as it can replace your projector’s remote control.
What are the InfoWall options?
InfoWall features internal Ambience and Information options.
The Ambience option includes images of artworks and natural light installations. Through Optoma’s projection technology, complemented by high-resolution images, you will feel as if you are transported. With a combination of images, music, weather information and calendar, enjoy a relaxing break from your busy day.
The Information option provides weather information, work calendar and news. As soon as you wake up, use this option to organize your thoughts and prepare for the day.

The app wont even start on Optoma Cinemax Pro projector! Why does Google let Optoma partner with them? Google should have standards... and Optoma should be better than this. EDIT: changing rating from 1 to 5 Stars b/c I sent complaint to email provided by Optoma and they were quick to respond with a fix that worked fast. They also say they are working on improving apps marketplace with a firmware but dont have a timeline on that. Either way, 5 stars well earned.
Same experience as others so it seems. The verification email never arrives which therefore results in you not being able to proceed. Shame as the screenshots look good. Developers please can you sort as I'd love to play around with this app.
Some of the absolute worst software I have ever had the displeasure of using. It's astonishing that they shipped something so completely useless and unusable. This app does absolutely nothing. Enjoy your $4000 projector
Garbage... I just got my Optoma CinemaX P2 today and thus App does nothing... So I'm stuck here with a screen that I can not adjust any other way but over thus App. And since the App doesn't work I'm just stuck with how it is. Awful.
This app is an absolute nightmare. It works once you set it up. After projector is shut down it doesn't work again unless you reinstall it. THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP IT WORKING IS TO REINSTALL IT EVERY DAY. What Idiot did the programming?
My remote stoped working, thought I would use the app instead, very disappointed, home button doesn't work, can't change the input source, info screen does nothing!
Can't sign into Google to use the pictures in the info wall. It says unsupported browser when inputting email addy. Can Devs suggest a work around? Or let us know when and how we can sign in? Will this app be supported going forward? Last update is 6mos ago?
Got connected and works but would like more information about permissions needed for Google account. Edit: developer responded with reason very quickly, thank you. Hope the app continues to improve

poor, despite entering all the details to create an account, the process just hangs. finally uninstalled it.
It is beautiful when it works. Uninstalled and reinstalled....it worked once and now nothing.

Non-usefull app
The developer needs to address connecting to Google. Their marketing and documentation suggests that it is compatible with Google Home. As it stands, it is not. This is false advertising. I find it aggrivating that the developer would suggest decreasing the security on my whole account just to make their app work. How about you fix your non-working app so I can maintain my high level of security?
