What happened to manual mode, is there no way to easily calibrate the corners of the screen perfectly when the AI does it wrong. I've used this for years and you took out the best part of the app
Smartfit app does not work with my cinemax p2 projector. The auto mode does not work and the manual option has the green markers appear but then immediately crashes and no inputs from the app work anymore. It is much easier to align the projector with the built in settings. Turn on warp control from geometric correction (in display settings). Change the warp number to 9x9 (under options) and go from there as my projector was awfully warped at the top of the screen.
Super disappointed in this projector and app is awful. Connect the projector (optoma p2) to wifi, the app to the same wifi, projector then shows successful connection, but never updates the projector to the adjustment view. Stays on the connected image forever. The app makes you think everything is great, and never works, I had to watch a you tube video to figure out that the projector isn't displaying the calibration screen. Super confusing, awful setup, projector straight up sucks.
Poor application considering what you pay for the projector. The application does not calibrate automatically, no matter how far outside the screen the yellow box is when taking the picture. The manual correction does not work either, it changes one increment and then does nothing. Considering returning the projector at this point. The screen is a pop up ALR from vivid storm 120". The projector is the Cinema P2x.
I would give 0 star of I could. Terrible!! Spend hours and hours to calibrate and i had to keep restarting the projector... I am frustrated to a point that I am ready to return my CinemaX!! Do better please.
The app is ok if you have a framed screen. But no good if you have any other screen like the vividstorm ones. Hoping they will update it as it hasn't had one since 2019
Terrible app. 99% of the times failing to calibrate. Not sure who tested it and how. Looks good on the website where this is advertised. Not practical at all. I am willing to work with Optoma tech group to make this app work as expected. Great concept but horrible implementation.
Awful app. For a projector that costs 4k you'd think they'd have a better app that actually works. I kept encountering error state without any alternatives or option to get help. Rubbish experience with both the hardware and the software
The app does not work at all. For this much expensive projector, I would expect better option. Awful experience with this app. I am even thinking to return the projector because of the difficulty of setting up the projector.
Automatic adjustment never works in any shape or form. On manual adjustment, the app randomly crashes. I almost returned the projector, but then found the manual adjustment without the app. Just use that directly and skip this turkey of an apo
Shite app that barely functions let alone work.
It is a pain to try to make it work, app keeps exiting on the projector and most of the time fails to connect even if they are on the same network. I just gave up.

The auto mode for me always failed but with the newest update it worked for the first time. However it seems like manual mode is gone which limits this alot. Due to a slight curve in the wall my picture is slightly off at the top. I would have been able to correct this with manual mode in the past.
